The Wolf prowling across dimensions by Pandora's Reader
Highschool of the Dead & My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア Xover Rated: M, English, Family & Adventure, [OC, Rika M., Shizuka M., Saeko B.], Words: 820k+, Favs: 1k+, Follows: 1k+, Published: Nov 17, 2021 Updated: Nov 9 779Chapter 60: Ride of the wolves
I've got a p-reon it's Pandoras_Supporter. A $1 a day keeps the munchies away. Idk.
So, back to my daily uploads because I'm twitchy to upload. Nite or I will probably go over these later and get rid of any mistakes here. Anyway, away we , my PM's are doing the broken thing, so that sucks.
Onxio - I have a plan for the Wormverse. Don't you worry about that.
Sj, I don't really have a schedule. I pretty much just post when my chapters are beta'd and ready, but it's been a bit, and now I'm back on my daily upload bullshit.
Tryson - The idea of it getting hit by a meteor is very satisfying.
Plums - It was more for Aisha then anything. She's like Rika in the way she's protective of her friends, and feels camaraderie with them. In cannon, she keeps in touch with the girls even though she goes to Hermes, and stays friends with em. But if I had Maccillian maim, or kill anyone other then the oompa loompa, then those girls would easily blame Aisha. So, for Aisha to NOT lose friends, they gotta go easy on em.
{Maccillian's POV}
I was riding the happy high after the match, feeling on top of the world and everything.
Then Ouranous decided went and said 'Nope.' I just had to take a moment, and blame my stupid luck for this development. (It's my luck, and NOTHING else. It's not like I forgot the dungeon's alive or anything. I never even thought about how it would react if I brought out my Sword of Damocles.) And because of that, Lili, Bell and Welf might pay for it.
That thought made me growl, and I shifted into my Grey Hound form. I was pretty sure my speed was boosted by the same 3x multiplier from Werewolf Form, but even if it wasn't, running was easier when I was on all fours.
I ran back to the city, more specifically the viewing area.
I got there in a few seconds, and met up with the rest of the girls.
Saeko was standing at the ready, a breath away from shifting and bolting. I could see the calmness in her eyes, waiting for the order. Fara, her hound, right by her side.
Saya was by her side, teeth grit and ready to go. She looked impatient, like she would've ran ahead if I blinked. Cinder was primed and ready, just like her owner.
Rika had Triple Tap in it's sniper configuration, ready to fill anything or one full of holes. Black was padding the ground, getting impatient, but just as ready to go as we were.
Then there was Shizuka. The look on her face was one without a hint of her usual aloofness or joy. Both Houndoom, and Mari were by her side, prepared to move when I said the word.
The girls all met my eyes when I got there, and without needing a verbal signal, they all shifted, and got into formation.
We were about to move, but Hestia put a hand on my back. Looking over to her, I saw how serious her face looked. Just like Shizuka, her joy was nowhere to be seen. And for a moment, she felt different.
For a moment, she wasn't the tiny goddess I was growing attached too.
For a moment... She was Hestia. Goddess of the hearth. "Bring them back." I mentally hummed at that. There was a spark of her flames, which came from both her and Shizuka, and I felt my aura, along with the rest of my girls, take it in.
(So THAT'S what it feels like. Interesting.) Shaking that thought off, I gave Hestia a grin, then gave her cheek a short lick. She got the message, and her smile came back. Turning away from her, I looked at the girls, and barked out the order. 'MOVE!'
And after we all coated ourselves in aura, we did.
Like we were shot out of canons, we blitzed towards the dungeon. We had a daughter/sister, a Nephew/friend, and a Welf to bring back.
And nothing was going to get in the way.
{Hestia's POV}
Watching my children... No... (The man I love... Woman too now that I think about it, and the rest of my sister mates, run off to the dungeon... It was an experience. Even though I gave the 'order' that's all I can do. That, and believe in them... Some goddess I am.) That thought made me bite my lip as I thought some more. (Why is THAT the only thing I can do? Just watch them go, and wait for them to come back...) I hated it.
Bell and Lili were in the dungeon, Maccillian and the girls were going after them, and then there was me. (There HAS to be SOMETHING I can do...) A part of me knew I didn't have to do anything. Especially after Maccillian showed off not even moments earlier, but just because I didn't NEED too, didn't mean I didn't WANT too.
And it wasn't like I didn't trust Maccillian and the girls to do it, no, I had FULL faith in them. It was just something that I FELT compelled to do.
Because for all the reassuring Maccillian and Shizuka did, a small part of me, a sliver in the deepest part of my mind, told me I hadn't EARNED their love and affection. That I hadn't EARNED to have all of them, Bell, and Lili, in my life.
That line of thought made me bite into my lip a little harder.
I was going to spiral down that line of thought a bit more, but I felt a hand on my shoulder, and blinked when I saw who it was. "Ya good shortie?" Loki.
Our relationship had gotten better now that there was another, more well endowed woman for her to direct her envy at. Being able to talk with her, without jabbing at the other, was nice. Sure we still did it, but it was mostly for humor rather then being annoyed at the other.
I stopped biting my lip, and frowned a bit as I turned back to where they went. "I don't know. I just wish there was something I could DO... You know?"
I didn't expect Loki to start humming, and nod. "Sumtimes." Blinking, I turned to her, and the look on my face must've told her everything. She slowly opened her eyes, and looked towards the dungeon. "Might not be for the same reasons... My kids'll come home, talk about their dive n all that... And a part of me tries to picture fightin with em. Even right now, my strongest kids are still diving... Caught up in this shit... But I still wanna be with em, even If I gotta fuck around and scream bloody murder at some super fucker..." She frowned a bit here. "But ya know... Rules and all that shit..." Then her frown vanished, and in its place, a mischievous grin grew as she turned to me. "But we already fuqin with the rules as is, so why not fuq with some more of em while we're at it?"
I just looked at Loki, and not even a moment later, I nodded. "Hell yeah!" Maccillian was a horrible influence. Loki's grin grew even more, and she turned back to the rest of our friends. Following her gaze, I took in everyone's faces.
Athy was giving us a look between 'Idiots.' And 'Agreement.'
Take looked neutral, but we could tell he didn't disapprove.
The issue was Hephaestus. She was frowning something FIERCE. "Hestia. Loki... What the hell do you think you're doing?"
Loki and I shared a look, and neither of us looked like we were going to back down. After taking a deep breath, and turning back to Hephaestus, I said my piece. "Going to my children's, and the people that I love, sides."
She didn't say anything for a bit, just kept the frown on her face, and after a tense minute, she sighed. "Fine... But Tsubaki is going with you." I blinked, and I was pretty sure the rest of us did too.
Athy turned to our oldest friend, and I could see how surprised she was. "This is... A stunning turn of events if I had to say anything about it." Hephaestus just snorted, and waved that off.
"Just because I don't like it, doesn't mean I'm going to force you to stay here." Stopping there, we watched as she turned to me, and we all saw her face soften. "I wanted you to grow up a bit, find something worth doing or living for... I didn't expect for it to be something like THAT, but I can't really complain. Just... Just stay safe would you?" Hearing that, I couldn't stop the smile I felt creeping on me.
"I will!" Hephaestus smiled back, and Loki cheered.
"Alright! Off to the murder house we gooo!" I snorted at that, but followed after Loki when she started running off. It was time to actually DO something for once.
{Maccillian's POV}
It didn't take long to get to the dungeon, but the moment we stepped a paw inside, the dungeon started shaking. My fur even stood on end from the feeling I was getting.
The feeling of being watched.
But this was different. Whenever it was a person, god or goddess looking at me, I never felt bothered by it, just annoyed. But being watched by the dungeon felt uncomfortable. It was like I was being undressed by someone with their eyes... And not in a fun way.
Though at the moment, that didn't matter.
Not even the absurd amounts of goblins being spawned from the walls mattered. (... 3? 4? There's way more of them spawning... Just don't know how much the dungeon is multiplying their spawn rate.) That would've been interesting to think about, but despite how many of them there were, they wouldn't change a thing.
I had family and friends to find. So tuning the uncomfortable feeling out, I looked around at the girls and our hounds, who seemed to need a second to shake off whatever the dungeon was doing, then nodded. As one, we ran through the 1st, and made our way down. Any monsters that got in our way were either torn apart, blasted with fire, smashed into the ground by gravity, or run through.
We didn't spare them more then a glance, but the monsters were practically throwing themselves at us. In some cases, literally.
We ran and went lower and lower. Since these were the early floors, there was nothing that could stop us.
Though that changed when we made it to the 12th. The MOMENT we stepped a paw onto the floor, we were assaulted by the LOUDEST sound ANY of us had ever heard.
~SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!~
It was like a fucking NUKE went off in our faces. Hundreds if not THOUSANDS of Bad Bats were flying above us, screaming as one. I think that for once, I was actually STOPPED by something. The pain of having that many Bad Bats screaming at us was murder on our ears, and felt worse then the time I was shot into a wall. But even with that happening, a part of my mind found a way to make a reference. (Wall. Of. SOUND!) It wasn't the time for it, but I mentally snorted at that.
Anyway, back to the immense pain I was in. The girls and hounds weren't faring any better, as they were all in as much, if not greater pain then I was. Seeing that, and recognizing I couldn't let this stop us, I grit my teeth, and attacked. (GRAVITY 10X!) The nearest, and almost all of the bats, started falling like rocks, and lessened the torture.
With it, that gave someone breathing room, enough to help out dealing with the bats. From my side, I could feel Rika's aura surge, and saw target after target materialize on the bat's chests. When she was done, and with what I was SURE was a howl of annoyance, Rika's Gate of Babylon shot off its charges. We all watched as bullets rained down on every Bad Bat in sight, sending them to hell.
With them all gone, we all had to take a second to shake the blood our of our ears, and move a bit later.
Though we were all a bit pissed at the whole experience. 'Fuckin bat bullshit.' We all agreed with Rika on that.
We were about to leave the 12th, but an enhanced Infant Dragon stood at the exit. I narrowed my eyes at the fucker, and opened my maw. (BURN FUCKER!) A sea of blue flames left my maw, and started clashing with the dragon's flames. Though, unlike the first time, my flames were supercharged. The dragon didn't stand a chance, and died with a scream.
With it down, we kept running towards the 13th.
When we got there, we all took a whiff of the area, looking for their scents. The labyrinth was always annoying to navigate, and despite knowing Bell's general direction, since he was still a member of the silver clan, the labyrinth always found a way to fuck with our senses.
We took a few seconds to sift through the rest of the scents, whenever we weren't being charged at by monsters, and eventually, someone found their scents. 'Lili!' Said someone was Shizuka, who went off like a rocket the moment she did.
We followed after her, and got rid of anything that tried getting in our way.
After tearing through a bunch of giant worms, we made it to the 17th, and saw the giant fucking hole in the wall. (Ah shit...) Since the trail led here, I was assuming they were already and hopefully still on the 18th.
And when I looked through the hole, and saw the Black Goliath, I mentally rolled my eyes. It was roaring, shooting out its fucking laser beams, and just generally causing havoc. (Great. Time to go through an anime episode... Though where are...) That was as far as I got before Shizuka blurred passed me, in 'human' form, and jumped down the hole.
"MAMA'S COMING LILI!" I, and the rest of us, all blinked, exchanged a look, and turned back to the hole Shizuka just jumped down.
After a second, Saeko started chuckling, shifted, and jumped after her. I heard her shout her catchphrase, and chuckled. From there, the rest of the girls, and hounds, went after.
As for me, I just looked down the hole, and shrugged. (Well, down the rabbit hole we go.) With that thought, I jumped.
{Lili's POV when the Goliath burst into the 18th}
One moment, things were fine.
The next, they weren't.
As soon as the Monster Rex, one we didn't remember looking like that, burst through the wall, it was chaos. Bell, Welf and Trix just took a moment to stare at what was happening, and we couldn't fault them for it. (Lili is VERY sure that's not supposed to happen.) But after that thought, we moved.
Bell took in the surroundings, looking for anyone in the area, or find higher ground.
One of Welf's hands found itself gripping his blade, looking tensed, but ready.
Trix was still growling, but her body was in full assault stance. She was ready to lunge towards the Monster Rex, and do whatever she could to take it down.
As for Lili, we took in the Monster Rex, how far it was, and anything else that was important for the immediate situation. Ever since the 'Minotaur incident,' Papa and the rest of our family made sure we were ALWAYS able to take in our surroundings.
A few moments of searching, and we found the path towards the hill. "We need to go!" The rest of the party looked to where we were pointing, and started running with us the next moment.
They all knew we needed a vantage point to take in the scene.
We ran, didn't say anything as we did, and eventually, made it up to the cliff.
And the sight we saw was even worse. The Monster Rex had just slammed its arms onto the ground, sending out a shock wave around it. The nearest buildings had been decimated, all while the residents of the 18th had scrambled to respond.
Then there were the other from the 17th, and 19th were coming in, and they were making a horrible situation worse. "We have to help..." We all snapped towards Bell, and Lili was pretty sure the incredulous look on our face told him just how absurd that statement was.
"HOW?! DO YOU SEE WHAT LILI SEES?" Bell didn't look away, or even flinch as we shouted at him. He just kept the same face, the same eyes that held his conviction, and we knew.
We weren't going to change his mind.
That fact made us grit our teeth, and subtly growl. "Of all the harebrained ideas Lili has heard! AGHHH!" We were so close to just pulling our hair out in frustration. "Just HOW do you plan on helping them?!"
Bell just kept looking at us, and after a moment, he smiled. "By doing my best. I'll put EVERYTHING Sir. Maccillian and everyone else taught us into practice."
Lili couldn't help it. We looked at him, face still incredulous, and had to say it. "Why?"
Bell just gave us another smile, and gripped the knife Big sister Saya made him. "Because it's what a hero would do." We just stared at him. Didn't say anything, just stared.
Then Welf clasped Bell's shoulder, and stood by his side. "Damn right Bell!" Motherfucker!
Then Trix barked, and I snapped towards her. "ET TU TRIX?!" The hound gave us a look, then trotted over towards them. The three of them stood by the other, and just waited for us. Lili could feel our eye twitch, and we just groaned. "UGHHH! FINE!" That got them to grin at us.
Welf even reached out, and ruffled our hair. "I knew you'd see the light Lil'Lili."
Our eye twitched even more. "Oh yes. Lili sees the light. But if Lili sees THE OTHER light, we will haunt ALL of you till the day you all die. And when Best Mama gets a hol of you, Lili will have the last laugh." Welf stiffened as we talked, and got paler with each word. At the end of it, he removed his hand, and awkwardly scratched his cheek.
He was probably going to say something stupid next, but we were interrupted by the Monster Rex's roar. That reminded us there was a situation here...
We all shared a look, and after a moment, nodded. Sure, Lili might not have liked this, but it wasn't like we weren't going to help. (Mostly because we were outvoted. We're fine with letting people we don't know die, but they aren't. Ughhh... Why can't more people be like Papa and the rest of the family?) That was one of the reasons we loved them so quickly. No one lectured us about helping people if we didn't have too, or felt like it.
Sure, that MIGHT seem a little psychopathic, but none of us cared. Papa did whatever he felt like doing at the time, and wouldn't care about helping people unless it was someone he or one of us cared for. Best Mama was neutral, but would help if she thought it was right. Mama Rika would help if she wanted too, but wouldn't force others to do so if we didn't want too. Big sister Saya didn't care. And Big sister Saeko was a sadist.
Lili didn't need to pretend to care. None of them would fault us.
But when it came to the party, Bell and Welf wanted to help others. Bell far more then Welf. And Trix mostly did what Bell did.
So now, we HAD to help.
Lili was POSITIVE this would turn out to be a bad idea.
{10 minutes later.}
Lili was right.
After we went towards the settlement, helping whoever we came across, we managed to make a stronghold to weather the assault. Bell was doing everything he could, going as far as using Papa's gravity powers to help the other adventurers kill monsters.
Welf and Trix helped him on the front lines as Lili sniped anything trying to get them.
And it was going well. The Monster Rex was just rampaging blindly, not coming towards us, while the worst we had to deal with were the normal monsters.
But after who knows how long, things were taking a turn for the worse.
Bell was running low, because despite using Papa's power, he couldn't continuously use it. At best, he could do short bursts of 3x the gravity. With that, archers, mages, and Lili could hit our targets without missing. But after all this time, he was running on fumes.
Trix's flames were getting dimmer, and she was using all of her energy trying to stay by Bell's side. We couldn't tell WHEN it happened, but her aura had broke. Seeing Trix be littered in wounds, most superficial, but two that we knew would scar, was disheartening. (Thankfully, it doesn't look like her eye is gone. And hopefully, she hasn't lost hearing in that ear.) Trix had two claw wounds above her left eye, and her left ear had been clipped. She'd need to have Best Mama look at her if we got out of here. (If...)
Welf was getting tired, since he hadn't left Bell's side since the start. The two of them were spearheading the vanguard, along with a dozen other adventurers. But still, Welf was a level 1, and he didn't have his semblance yet. (Neither do we, but that's not the point.) Any stamina Welf had left was being used before he could take a breath. We were also sure we saw his aura start flashing, and that was VERY worrying.
As for Lili... Lili was doing... Ok. Our aura was sitting at 20%, but there was another problem.
Lili was running out of bolts. And using aura to make them was going to drain our already low reserves even more. If that happened, the chance of us dying or at least getting maimed, rose. We were already exhausted, and we'd fall easier without our defensive aura active.
And we weren't the only one. Archers were practically out of arrows. Mages, healers, debuffers were getting close to Mind Down, if not Mind Zero. And we were starting to get overrun.
And to make matters worse... The Monster Rex was coming our way.
It was in those conditions that we found ourselves sitting down, with Bell and Welf by our side, and Trix by Bell's. The rest of the adventurers had rotated in, dealing with whatever stray monster they could, but even with that...
It seemed like the end.
And when we thought that, we just brought our legs close, then hugged them. We hadn't been with them long, but still... (They were the first REAL family we've ever had.)
Best Mama Shizuka was everything we could've asked for in a mother. She was kind, openly showed her joy and love, gave the best hugs and pats, and was as warm as a bonfire. She was even a fun type of mischievous that we loved.
Mama Rika was more like an aunt, but preferred being called 'Mama.' She taught us how to shoot better, be a little sneakier, fun games to play, and was just all around fun.
Big Sister Saya might've been a tiny bit narcissistic, but she had every right to be. Taking time out of her day to talk with us, tell us stories while also teaching us new things, some of which we might've preferred never knowing. (... The last thing we were learning was math... That's going to be our last lesson with her...) We... We didn't know how to feel about that.
Big Sister Saeko... She was a little intimidating at first glance. But when we spent time with her, she was one of the easiest people to talk too. She understood Lili the best, after Best Mama, and offered to always listen should we need it. We didn't even mind the fact she was a sadist.
Lady Hestia... We hadn't gotten THAT close with her yet... But she was just like Best Mama Shizuka. She was kind, warm, was THERE if we needed her, and made Lili feel at home.
Then there was Papa... Thinking about him brought a smile to our lips. Papa 'yoinking' us off the street was the best thing that had ever happened to us. He gave it all to us, and was the biggest and sturdiest pillar of our new life. He loved us, fed us, gave us the feeling that nothing could hurt us when he was there, and was the most mischievous person we'd ever met. He was teaching us how to be a 'Meme queen.' Whatever that was... (Guess we'll never find out now... We're in the dungeon, they're not... We'll never see them again...)
That thought did it. The thought that we'd never see them again.
Never hear Best Mama say 'Welcome home.' Or hear her call us 'Cutie Pup.' To never be hugged and feel her warmth again.
Never have Mama Rika tell us jokes, some more embarrassing than others. To have her call us adorable or even make fun of us being 'Bite sized.'
Never sit with Big Sister Saya during one of her 'experiments,' be lectured and taught new things or tactics. To be fussed over as a little sister, despite her only being a year older then Lili.
Never have Big Sister Saeko tease us, listen to us, or just be there. To miss out on someone who understands our pain.
Never have Papa pat our head, feed us, ride his shoulders or on his back. To have the man that gave us everything lose us...
Lili didn't realize when it started, but we realized we were crying. We only realized we were when Welf put a hand on our shoulder. Looking up at him, we saw the strained smile on his face, and the painful understanding and acceptance in them. He didn't say anything, just looked at us.
Then Bell put his own hand on ours, and we saw some of the emotions in Welf's eyes, in his. But there was more in them. We saw the hope in his eyes, and we just couldn't take it. Lili wanted to blame him, to hate the fact that we were in this situation because he, and the rest of them, wanted to help people. We could've just left when this whole thing started.
But looking into Bell's eyes, we just couldn't muster up enough energy to do it. We were tired, sure. But we just couldn't hate him... So instead of that, we said what we wanted. "Lili... We... I... I don't want to die." They just looked at us, and Trix put her head in our lap.
Welf's eyes softened, and it looked like he was going to say something, but he was cut off. "And we wont." He said that like it was a fact.
Lili... I, just stared at Bell, and dropped our head into our legs. "Lili doubts that. Li...- I doubt that very much."
Bell just sighed, and I was sure he turned away, considering the Monster Rex was getting closer. "All you need is a little faith."
Despite the situation, we snorted. "Faith? Faith in what?"
The universe must've had a sense of humor, because it wasn't even a second later that we, and probably the entire floor, heard it. Heard HER. "MAMA'S COMING LILI!" We... I would NEVER mistake that voice.
We all looked up, including the Monster Rex, and saw her. Best Mama Shizuka was dropping down, and in mid air, stopped and stood on an aura platform. Lili...- I, could see her whipping her head around, and only stopping when we made eye contact. And the moment we did, we saw her transform into her Werewolf form, aura radiating off of her in waves as she crouched, then SHOT off towards us.
The Monster Rex noticed her coming, but couldn't react in time. Best Mama went THROUGH its head, causing an explosion of gore, before she crashed in front of us. But she didn't care about the trench she just made, and kept coming.
She reached us a few moments later, and instantly dropped to crush me in a hug. "It's ok. Mama's here Cutie pup. Mama's here." That's when her fire came out, and Lili could feel our aches and soreness go away. We could even see her fire radiate outwards, reaching Bell, Welf, Trix, any and probably every other adventurer in the area.
The sounds of cheers were rising all around us, but I didn't care.
Best Mama was here, and if we were right, which I usually was, then she wasn't alone.
And a moment later, I was proven right. "LET THE HUNT, BEGIIIIIIIN!" Big Sister Saeko.
"AH SHUT IT YOU CRAZY BITCH!" Big Sister Saya.
"THIS IS ONE DEEP FUCKING HOLE!" Mama Rika. "THAT'S WHAT HE SAID!"
We saw them all appear from the same hole Best Mama did, and land on an aura platform Big Sister Saya made. Even from here, Lili was sure we knew what she was saying as she talked to them. 'Atleast THINK before you leap you idiots!' Or something along those lines.
But after them, I heard the voice that ensured EVERYTHING was going to be fine. "I'M LATE, I'M LATE! SIKE! I'M RIGHT ON TIME!" Seeing, and hearing, Papa come down, with the rest of the hounds gently falling behind him, made me smile. They all shared a look on their platform, said some words, then turned towards us. And like magic, the feeling around the 18th changed.
From where we were, we could see them all transform, and their aura's surged to life.
Then they MOVED, just like Best Mama did, and came towards us like meteors.
Lili blinked, and then they were here. They all apparently went THROUGH the Monster Rex, without hitting the stone, and gathered around us. Lili could see the concern, anger, love, and protectiveness in everyone's eyes.
Then Bell spoke again. "In them." Bell was a smartass, but we'd call him out on it later.
Best Mama slowly let go of us, and stood by the rest of our family. They all took turns looking over Lili, Bell, Welf, and Trix. Speaking of them, Welf was laying on the ground, and just laughing, while Trix was taking in her pack's fussing.
But before I could about them some more, I felt someones hand on my head, and met Papa's gaze. I idly noticed his other hand was on Bell's head, but focused more on Papa. The humor was still in his eyes, but we could see the relief and worry still there. The worry was going away, and steadily being replaced by anger.
Papa gave us a smile, and I felt all the worries and fear from earlier melt away. "Relax. We've got it from here." I could feel myself smile back at Papa, and I gave him a nod.
After that, Papa gave me one last smile, and turned towards the Monster Rex, and the other monsters, which had backed off when they came in, and growled. "Dibs, call em now."
"BIG ONE!" Mama Rika practically jumped.
Big Sister Saeko hummed, and put a hand on her shoulder. "I don't think so Rika. I've waited WEEKS for the beast. I think I'...-"
"It's mine."
"That Bug Bear looks quite appetizing/Yeah, I guess I'll shoot the small fry." As soon as Best Mama claimed the Monster Rex, Mama Rika, and Big Sister Saeko changed their tunes on the spot.
My eyes went to her, and I watched as her aura, and her fire, surged even more. Best Mama was like a beacon of golden fire...
And I could tell. The usual warm glow in her eyes, and the smile that was always on her face, were gone... And she was PISSED.
Big Sister Saya and Papa shared a look, then shrugged. "Alright. Mo grá, go wild." Best Mama gave Papa a nod, then stepped forwards towards the Monster Rex. It had finished healing from them going through it, and roared at her. But she took that, and just sent it a hateful glare... Yeah...
Best Mama was REALLY pissed.
(Note to self, NEVER piss off Best Mama. As long as we do, we'll never expire.) That set, I looked at the scene, and decided to watch Best Mama fight. We were safe now, so watching the Monster Rex be beaten into a bloody pulp would help us feel better.
We could deal with the sudden change to our thought process later.
[NON cannon Omake. Saeko's Judgement - Saeko's POV as they dropped in.]
It was finally here, the monster I'd been waiting weeks for.
The Goliath.
But this one was different. An 'enhanced' variant. (I wonder just how much stronger an 'enhanced' Goliath is?) That thought alone made me smile and shake in anticipation.
"Dibs. Call em now." YES!
"The Goliath is mine!" The moment I said that, I transformed, and covered myself in my armor as I charged towards the monster. I idly heard the rest of my sister mates claim their query, but I focused more on the Goliath. I cackled as I reached for my blade, and focused on the trigger mechanism inside of it. It was not necessary for me to do so, but I appreciated the usefulness of it.
But enough about that. It was time to test the Goliath.
And I was in the mood for an overwhelming approach.
When I had gotten within range, I increased the grip on my blade, and activated my sheath's ability. The sound of a blast reached my ears, and my arm blurred. Utilizing my speed, and whatever aura wasn't being used to maintain my armor, I slashed and tore into the Goliath a few dozen times in the blink of an eye. And because I could, I called out the name of my attack, which was named by my lord as some reference. "JUDGEMENT CUT!"
After that shout, I re-sheathed my blade, and watched as the Goliath bled as it was torn into pieces... And turned to ash... "Ah... I must've hit the magic stone... Oops."
In the distance, I could hear my lord snort. "Stylish!" I rolled my eyes at that.
