2. Tilly

"What a bright morning, right teddy. I wonder if we will find something interesting. This is odd. I thought the ghosts had gone silent but they are howling again. Looks like we will have some excitement today. What's that teddy? You wanna wait till night time. Sure! The night will be ours to make a move then."

"He looks very naive and probably is too. Let's go talk to him."

"Hello! I haven't seen you before. Are you new here?" asked the little girl. Tim was caught off guard because of her voice. She was wearing a white nightgown and wore no slippers. She had wavy honey brown hair and skin so pale she almost looked like a ghost. She had beautiful dark brown eyes and was holding a teddy bear. " Shouldn't you be in your room right now?" Tim asked. The girl simply said that she couldn't sleep and came out for a walk. She again asked if he was new there. "Yes I am. My name is Timothee Hanson and I joined today. What's your name?" Tim said. "My name is Matilda Rossabeth but you can call me Tilly. The ghosts had told me a little about you. You like nicknames right? I'll call you Timmy." Tilly said. Tim looked at her and asked her about the ghosts then he realized the tag on the upper half of her gown. There was written SCHIZOPHRENIA. Tim looked at it for a minute as he remembered Sabrina saying that they put tag on the nightgown of the patients so others know what kind of problem they had. " I know what you might be thinking but I'm not schizophrenic. I can see ghosts but no one believed me so they thought I'm crazy and send me here. You don't have to believe me if you don't want to." Tilly said. Tim didn't say a word, he just looked at her. "The ghosts are howling again. You should go back to sleep." Tilly said with a smile. Tim told her that he couldn't just leave her and accompanied her to her room before heading back.

He later woke up at 5 am and after brushing his teeth he went to give Thabetha her medicine. He knocked on her door and asked if Thabetha was awake. Soon after the door opened and Thabetha was standing in front of Tim still looking tired. " Had a good sleep ?" Tim asked. Thabetha nodded as she welcomed him inside. He took the medicine out of his pockets and gave 1 pill to her as he filled her cup with water. She put the pill in her mouth and began drinking the water. After making sure she ate her pill he patted her on the head and said very good. Thabetha was a bit shocked to why he said that but it made her feel better. "Now shall we head over to the cafeteria?" Tim asked and Thabetha nodded.

There were many patients walking in the hallway and Tim kept talking to Thabetha. He told her how he fell from a tree when he was small and how he was chased by a swamp of bees. Thabetha wasn't really interested and kept wondering why he was talking. They sat down on a table with their food. " I forgot to tell you something. Yesterday I met a very peculiar girl. She said her name was Tilly." Tim said. When Thabetha heard that name she almost choked. " You saw her too?" Thabetha asked with a surprised look. Tim was shocked by Thabetha's reaction as he thought Tilly was a patient there. " What do you mean by I saw her too? Isn't she a patient here? Was I not supposed to see her or something?" Tim asked with a confused look. " No, it's fine if you saw her. It's just that, she doesn't really come out very often and it's rare for her to even introduce herself." Thabetha said as she sipped her water. " She told me that she could see ghost. Is it true? I highly doubt it is but a part of me is saying it's true." Tim asked with curiosity but Thabetha changed the subject by asking him about what they would be doing all day. He told her the schedule. After eating they went to have a walk outside.

" Hey poison. I know it's kinda odd but do you know how many personalities you have??" Tim asked while laughing nervously. Thabetha thought for a moment and said, " Well I'm not sure but I think other than me there are 3 more. Tim took out his pen and a small notebook and asked her about their names and behaviour. " Well I don't really know how they behave. I only know their names and do you always carry those things around?" Thabetha asked. " Of course I do. I love to be prepared and it has my timetable in it so I don't miss anything. Can you tell me the names of your personalities?" Tim asked and gave a nervous smile to which Thabetha gave a slightly judgemental look but told their names. " There is Lily, Cris and Cassandra." Tim noted it down quickly. They sat down on a bench near a tree and were looking around. "You know Tim, I just met you yesterday but I feel really comfortable with you." Thabetha said which made Tim happy.

As Tim was about to say something a guy wearing yoga pants and tank top came and asked all the patients to gather around for their morning yoga and exercise. Thabetha asked Tim if he wanted to say something but he denied and told her to go. She looked at him for a sec and went where people were gathered. Tim watched her as she slowly made her way towards the crowd and sighed. " You should have told her what you had in your mind. " Tilly said from behind the bench Tim was sitting. " Jesus Christ Tilly! How long have you been standing there and how come I didn't feel you standing? " Tim asked in shock as he turned his head around. " Well maybe because your senses are not very good. Can I sit besides you?" Tilly asked politely. " Do you not have to go for yoga?" Tim asked to which Tilly said no and Tim said ok so she sat herself down beside him.

" Thabetha is really nice don't you think?" Tilly asked. " Well it hasn't been long since I came here so I'm not sure about how she is. " Tim replied while playing with his pen. " Tilly looked at him and told him that he was observant and patient and how she liked him better than Thabetha's last nurse. " Well you shouldn't make your judgement so fast about me. Who knows you might hate me in the future and can you tell me about Thabetha's last nurse. I wanna know how they were and why you think I'm better than them?" Tim asked. Tilly held her teddy bear tight and with confidence she said, " My judgement about you isn't wrong. There might be a few more things I need to add about you but I know for a fact that you will never do or say anything that will harm a patient whether it's Thabetha or anyone else and as for her last nurse, I think she should be the one to tell you. Don't break her trust and you should be good. " Tim nodded his head and told Tilly that he would wait for Thabetha to open up and till then he would be patient. Sabrina called Tim from a distance and as Tim was going to excuse himself, he saw that Tilly was not there. He was confused cause he knew she was there talking with him but he reminded himself that he might have not noticed and went near Sabrina.

" I'm so sorry to trouble you Tim but there's an emergency and I need your help. Can you please give this medicine to Jake?" Sabrina asked in a hurry. " Sure but who is Jake?" Tim asked. Sabrina handed him a file saying it had information about Jake and that he was in his room as she rushed the other direction. Tim opened the file as looked at it for a second. Jake was a 19 year old kid who had ADHD. He had killed 2 people. His room no. was 543 which was somewhat near to Thabetha's room. There was no picture of him so Tim began to think how Jake looked like while walking to the room. After about 15 minutes he reached the room and knocked on the door but no one answered. He knocked again but their was no response again. He knocked a bit hard this time and the door opened a bit. He opened the door a little bit and asked if Jake was inside. Jake was standing on top of his bed with a pencil and was drawing. Tim opened the door and he could not believe what he was looking at. Jake's room was a mess but a beautiful mess and Tim couldn't take his eyes off the beautiful doodles on the wall.
