Interlude

|3rd POV|

Falbium looked at his nephew in disappointment. Never in his life has he seen someone that is willing to bet a large piece of land to a fight that he will never win. What makes matters worse is that piece of land is a land that is filled with many medicinal herbs.

The Glasya-Labolas clan is one of the three main suppliers of medicinal herbs in the world. They owned a massive amount of land. In fact, they are the third biggest landowner behind the Bael and Gremory clan.

Most of their land is fertile and suitable for medicinal herbs to grow. Because of this reason, the Glasya-Labolas clan became one of the biggest suppliers of medical herbs.

While the land Zephyrdor owned is not vital land, it was still a land filled with any kind of medicinal plant. With the Phenex Clan becoming the biggest potion maker in the world, this piece of land is the perfect thing for them and makes them even richer.

While Falbium is not a member of Glasya-Labolas, he was born in that clan, and he did not want his former clan to become a laughing stock because someone cannot think before taking action.

"Don't worry, father! I will win this fight! He cannot beat our bloodline power!"

Falbium can see his brother sigh in defeat when he hears his son rambling. His Pride is so big that it makes the original Lucifer grimace. This is what makes the Prideful Devil the second most difficult devil to handle when they are young.

"I give up. Just beware that if you get defeated in this fight, you will start from zero as that land is your starting wealth."

"Hmph! Don't worry, father. I will defeat Riser with this!"

Falbium raises one of his eyebrows when he sees the item in Zephyrdor's hand. It was a dagger coated with holy water.

"Y-You! Argh!"

Falbium sees his brother shout in frustration before storming out of the room. He knows the reason why his brother behaves like this. If the others know that Zephyrdor decides to use a Holy Item, it can be seen as him trying to assassinate Riser.

Falbium knows that that dagger alone will not work against the Phenex third heir and many people know about it as well. However, the low-level devil did not know about that. They know that a Holy Item can kill them, and Zephyrdor uses that item to attack Riser.

After giving Zephyrdor one last disappointed look, Falbium walks away from the Glasya-Labolas mansion and prepares to go to the Phenex territory. He needs to ask for a favor from Lord Phenex. Usually, even like this will be broadcast to all underworld, but he hopes that he can talk his way out of this mess and make Lord Phenex not broadcast the fight.

Just before Falbium gets out of the mansion, his brother decides to stop him.

"Brother, do you want to go to the Phenex territory?"

"Aye. Because of your position as Glasya-Labolas clan member, you cannot go to the Phenex clan because of the contract."

Ancient Contract. This contract made both clan members unable to meet each other before the fight between their young masters concluded. This contract is intended to prevent each clan member from sabotaging the other.

However, there is a loophole, a massive loophole, in fact.

A devil outside the clan can visit the other clan. With Falbium getting out of the Glasya-Labolas clan and joining the Asmodeus clan, he can visit the Phenex Clan to have a chat with the Head of the Phenex clan.

"Thank you. I will pay you back for this."

"No problem. Just make sure your son did not do more reckless things. I'm supposed to be the lazy devil around here, but here I am doing all the work."

Falbium's little brother chuckled at the joke his brother told him. He knows that Falbium is a lazy devil, but he will always finish the job quickly so he can sleep early and combine it with his perfectionist nature; falbium becomes the most efficient devil in the underworld.

"Anyway, I should probably go."

"Yeah, you're right. Once again, thank you."

Falbium waves his hand and teleports away when he gets outside the mansion. He arrived a few hundred meters from the Phenex Castle a second later. When he arrives in front of the barrier that protects the Phenex Castle, Falbium knocks it a little.

He can see the barrier shudder a little at his knock before a few seconds later, three butlers appear in front of him. They are the butler/guard of the Phenex Castle. The oldest butler bowed at Falbium before saying.

"Welcome to the Phenex territory, lord Asmodeus. What can we do for you?"

"Take me to your lord."

"Of course, please follow me."

The butler creates a magic circle, and a second later, they arrive in front of a massive castle. Falbium gets inside the castle following the butler and continues to walk through the castle corridor before they arrive at the training ground. He can see Riser Phenex having a spar with his brother.

Just by looking at the spar between Riser and Ruval, Falbium knows that his nephew will be defeated. He knows how his bloodline power works, and he also knows its weakness as well. Glasya-Labolas clan bloodline power is the most powerful defensive power in the underworld. However, it also takes a large amount of demonic energy to maintain, especially when a strong attack hits the barrier.

If the barrier gets broken from the force, it will damage the user. Falbium knows that his nephew cannot block any Riser's attack with his current power by the look of the spar. Maybe in ten years, he can block the CURRENT Riser's attack.

*BOOM*

Falbium can see Riser create a massive crater with his dropkick, and it is then Falbium remembers that Riser is the holder of dual Bloodline power. Riser also has Vassago Bloodline power called Physical Empowerment.

They can enchant their strength up to one hundred thousand times the original. The original Vassago uses this power to punch a Seraph to pieces in exchange for his body that cannot constrain that much power.

If before Zephyrdor defeat was around 99.9999%, but now it has become 100%.

"Lord Asmodeus, welcome to my place. What can I do for you this fine evening?"

Falbium looks at Hardius's eyes for a few seconds before saying.

"Lord Phenex, I have come to bargain."
