Chapter fifteen: Involved

"so noisy!"  Y/n woke up in loud noises outside. It was almost midnight. But the countless car horns and shoutings were making it impossible for her to sleep back. She never faced any next door problems because most of them were empty.

At last, She walked to the window. There was a big truck parked outside. Few people were walking in and out from the house. It was the new neightbours she assumed. Noisy from the first day.

At lunch time she heard knocking on the main door. she wasnt in mood to welcome any guest . once she opened the door, there was a blond girl standing outside. she looked like someone who wouldnt even care twice about who opened the door. her eyes were looking everywhere but at her. She takes out her hands from her pocket and forces a smile. "Hey~ I'm your new neightbour. My name is Isla. "

y/n didnt know if she should shake her hand or not.  Isla deep sighs. She takes her hand back and gave ground to her fake smile. "Im done now. I wouldnt be here if my mom didnt force me to 'go and talk to our neightbours' ",her voice mocking in the last words. y/n stood there silently. She couldnt figure out what to say yet. Isla continued with sigh, "Moving out is the worst thing."

"I know."

"Did you say something?"

"No...Nothing."

"I thought I heard you say something."

"I ...kinda agreed with you."

"Why? You new too?"

"Yeah....we moved in a month ago."

Isla scanned her from head to toe. "I'll be off then."

Y/n closed the door. She leaned on it for a while. "wierd neightbour... "

Henry was playing all alone in the field. The other days, It was a joy for him. He could practise wothout anyone disturbing him. But Something seemed off about him today. His motion on the ball was slow. most of the time he walked around with it instead of practising. the news 'Final match of Basketball' was all over the school. They were aware of the busyness of the players.

even y/n wanted to give him some time alone on breaks. But he denied it and hang around with her and jay.

It was lunch time, she approached henry. he looked lost in thoughts, playing with his ball now and then. She handed him a drink and sat next to it. both exchanged their friendly greetings. Henry tried to hide away his concerns but it was soon visible in his words. "Nervous for the final?" She suddenly asked. He was expecting it now or later.

"It's my last year. We've been winning for 2 years straight. If this time we fail to keep up this name..."

"hey, dont think like that. You'll do great. Im sure you can keep up." henry went silent. He tried to take in her words. "You know, Ava has always been the one cheering for me these days. Im glad to have you and Jay this year."

y/n gave him a Reassuring smile and patted his back."I'll cheer wholeheartedly for you. We can win again!" henry finally broke out in smile. His smile was so precious that it was lightning up everything around her.

they were walking back home, Henry and

y/n three steps ahead of Jay. They were busy with their own conversation. Jay felt unbothered. he wasnt interested to Interact with them. like he had something to fear.

something looked off to him. he couldnt shake off the feeling even if he wanted to. He was sure that someone was following them. Henry and y/n were too busy to notice. But Jay could clearly tell.

That person was hiding itself whenever he turned. It went on for three or four times. the other two was almos out of sight. Jay hid himself to trick that person. Just when It stood close enough, He caught it. In his surprise, It was a girl,not someone he reconized. he scanned her for a while. She looked scared while hoding her phone in her left hand. something was still suspicious about her. "Why are you following us!"

she stood quiet. he snatched off her phone.

The biggest shock to take place, her phone was full of y/n's pictures. All of them were taken when she looked unaware of it. Some were only her and some were with ...Henry?

Jay shot her a dangerous look, "Who told you to do this!"

The girl couldnt stay quiet. "Ava did!", She snatched her phone and ran away.he stood there, confused. for now he could tell...y/n was no ordinary. She is involved everywhere.
