The road to school feels lonely and cold, even though I have never walked it with anyone besides myself. The only noise is that of the wind blowing past my head at high speed. Thanks to that, even though I prepared myself well, I look like I got here without looking in the mirror once.
Jerah walks in right before the bell rings. I don't look at him, though. Not when he walked in, and not now. How I knew? Well, uh. I might have taken a little glance, then.
Not satisfied with this, because it contradicts my decision, I curse myself. Luckily, I don't have too much time to think about it, because the lessons are starting, and as the year is coming to a close and the final exams are nearing, I can't afford to not focus.
Time goes by as slow as ever. I lean back in my chair, playing around with a pencil, while feeling a heavy stare coming from my right. It's hard to ignore it, but I keep looking forward as each second feels like a minute.
