The school day passes. He never shows up. Club activities start. He never shows up. Our study session commences. He never shows up.
Is he fed up with me? Did something happen? Is he hurt? Don't tell me... Did I push him that far...? That can't be, right?
All kinds of anxious thoughts run through my head as I speed to his house. If he's not here, then...
Out of breath, I arrive at his front door, knocking on it frantically. I hear footsteps coming to the door, relief already welling up inside of me, but the one to open the door isn't who I wanted to see.
"Aki..." I frown, not even trying to hide my disappointment. "Is Jerah home?"
Seeing the panic on my face immediately alarms him, as he doesn't even bother answering. "What happened? I haven't seen him since a few days ago. Did he disappear?"
"I saw him this morning, but he didn't show up to school or any activities..." I respond, still catching my breath.
