After chatting with the couple and the kids some more, Jerah and I start getting ready for our next destination: my parents' house, which is also the place where May spends all of her time.
Aki offered to watch the kids for a while, and we gratefully accepted. Jerah and me are still trying to keep the kids away from their mom. No matter how sad it is, they are better off without her.
We take one car, and leave the other at the parking close to Aki's place. It's still weird to walk close to the house that was once mine, and to see it belong to my brother-in-law and his wife now.
My parents still don't know that I got back with Jerah. May knows we got back in touch, but I have no idea if she put two and two together. The only one that knows for sure is Christine. And she's still mad about it.
