Upper Moon Two: Doma

(Upper Moon Two: Doma POV)

Ahh, this week has certainly added up to be wonderous. I had currently sent one of my loyal followers to attack a town and attract the attention of Demon Slayers. I know that Master stated we were to lay low for the time being, but the temptation of luring in female Demon Slayers was too great. And their taste was divine when compared to the trash of my own followers or commoner females. Eating female Demon Slayers was the closest I would get to achieving true emotions, so even under the vengeful eye of Master, I'll still do it.

The demon I had sent to the town was one of my most powerful demons, and I conducted him to act like a lower-level demon. Even if it might seem like a waste of talent, I was going to eat him anyway, so I might as well get the most use out of him as I can.

After the passage of three days, my meals finally arrived.

Among the group, there stood a single male and two enticing females. Vomiting in my mouth as I imagined myself eating the male, I had to find a way to separate the two female Demon Slayers from the disgusting male and have my faithful follower deal with him. Lucky for me, they separated themselves from each other.

Laughing delightedly at how perfectly they were setting up this situation, I let my presence exude to the two of them. Watching as the lead female whipped her head in my direction, she changed her path of following the male to now come directly towards me.

Hopping delightedly backwards, outpacing the lead female who carried the second female, I arrive at the outskirts of town. Finding the area suitable enough to conduct a meal, I wait for the two of them to arrive. Watching as they fall in front of me, I can see them examine my glorious person. Seeming to realize who I was, the lead female gets down into a defensive stance while the other stood there frozen by fear.

"What's an Upper Moon like yourself doing in a small town like this." Hearing a slight quiver in the lead female's voice, I answer back excitedly.

"Why, I'm here to feast upon the delicacies that lie right in front of me."

Laying my hands out in front of me as if offering a great boon, I wait for the lead female to fall into despair, but instead, she looks at the person next to her before then turning her eyes back towards me, a fire lit inside them.

"Oh, where do you suddenly find such strength?" I ask while smiling brightly in delight.

"Being a Hashira, it is my duty to protect the lives of the people around me and exterminate such presences like yours."

Taken by surprise about the sudden finding that this female was a warrior who could easily kill a Lower Moon, my smile gets even brighter. I had eaten Hashira before, and their taste easily conquers that of other Demon Slayers. And after waiting for such a long time, I think that it's time to treat myself.

"Thank you for revealing yourself as a Hashira to me. I'll make sure to properly enjoy you after ridding you of your life. Although, even if you are a Hashira, you seem weaker than other Hashiras I have fought, so there is no way you kill…."

Cutting my sentence off, I notice that my devote follower had died. Both confused and disgusted by the fact that he had lost to a boy, my attention is brought back to the Hashira as she proclaims something ludicrous.

"Even if you believe that I have no chance of killing you here, I'll make sure to at least survive until daybreak, preventing you from harming me or anyone else."

Waving my hands in front of me, I state with a small smirk, "I don't mean to harm you my darling, I want to do nothing more than consume you. Is that too much to ask? Just surrender, it'll make everything far easier."

Staring her directly in the eyes, her demeanor changes to that of surprise.

Almost unconsciously, the Hashira utters, "You can't feel emotions."

"By whatever do you mean?" Now having a strained smile plastered on my face, the Hashira continues her thought process.

"Your eyes, hold absolutely nothing in them. Even when you put such power into your words, I now realize that there wasn't a hint of emotion in any of them. So, the cheery personality is nothing more than a farce to cover up the fact you lack emotions."

Having lost my smile completely, I stare sinisterly at the Hashira in front of me.

"I'll make sure to kill both you and your sister. You've made a grave mistake Demon Slayer, and execution seems to be in order."

After saying that, I go to unveil my second War Fan, but find that the Hashira was already making her way towards me. Watching as she uses a move called 'Orchid Blossoming', I easily dodge each of her strikes.

Upon the duration of her technique ending, I wave my two War Fans in front of me and use 'Blood Demon Art: Barren Hanging Garden.' Watching as my ice shards head her, she uses what I can presume to be her Second Form to block all my shards.

Having stopped my first technique, she tries to go into her third form, but I simply just cast my first technique again. Watching her futile attempts to block all my attacks and then try to create a counterattack, makes me think of her more as a desperate puppy.

In my growing delight, I "accidentally" create a hole in between my attacks, and she is quick to use her Fifth Form. Upon creating a second set of ice shards behind my first, she quickly changes her sword grip and uses her Sixth Form. Even after removing all ice shards from her premise, she still hasn't landed a single hit upon me.

Having had enough fun for the time being, I use 'Blood Demon Art: Frozen Lotus' to create several ice lotuses which will entrap her and make her ready for consumption. Seeing her eyes slightly flicker though, I feel an impending sense of doom then come over me.

Leaning back as quickly as possible, I watch as flickering lightning passes over my face. Instantly straightening myself, I look to find the boy responsible for my follower's death calmly talking with the Hashira.

Feeling enraged by this male, I raise my fans towards him.

(Shiro POV)

As my blade passes by the spot where Doma previously stood, I realize my attack had missed its mark.

Not minding it though since Doma is an Upper Moon, I make my way over to Kanae. Standing there while sweating profusely, Kanae looks shakily prepares to continue her fight against Doma.

Placing myself directly in front of her eyesight though, I say, "Kanae, I hereby prevent you from fighting any longer with Doma. If you proceed, you will only hurt your body more while gaining absolutely nothing in return."

"You don't know that." Kanae huffs out. "And I can't leave you to deal with an Upper Moon by yourself."

"There isn't really another option. You out of stamina and Doma can directly counter whatever you do. I however have a chance, even if it's small, to deal with him."

Breaking under my stare that only served to worry about her safety, Kanae starts to walk to Shinobu.

Turning around, I look at the young man with a pale complexion and pale golden blond hair that he has parted to the left. Looking into his eyes, I see an array of rainbow pastel tones that fade into one another as they circle his iris. His clothes consisted of a blood-red turtleneck with a design that made it appear that the section between his neck and upper chest is covered by a black substance that slightly drips down his body. Atop his head, there lays a small, circular "blood stain".

Having just described the appearance of the Upper Moon Two: Doma, I see him holding one of his war fans out towards me. With the realization that I was fighting an Upper Kizuki, I activate my Demon Slayer Mark. Immediately after doing that, the ice shards that Kanae had previously destroyed then began to fly towards him and form several ice lotuses.

Suddenly, ice vines shoot out from those lotuses and move to ensnare me in their icy grip. Reluctantly changing my breathing form again, I use 'Fire Breathing Fourth Form: Blooming Fire Undulation" causing the oncoming ice vines to melt upon reaching the intense wall of heat I surrounded myself with.

In return for doing such though, a small bit of blood begins to leak from my mouth.

Looking at Doma's expression, I could see that his face had slightly morphed into confusion, wondering as to how I could suddenly use Fire Breathing even if I had previously used Lightning Breathing. Doma however doesn't seem to dwell on it long as he combines his 'Frozen Lotus' and 'Barren Hanging Garden' to send an onslaught of ice shards.

Facing this wave, I use 'Fire Breathing Third Form: Blazing Universe' which causes all ice shards that would impact me to be destroyed by my fire and blade. An instant after using that form, I use 'Fire Breathing First Form: Unknowing Fire', but upon coming to decapitate Doma, I find myself having decapitated instead a humanoid ice female.

Looking around hurriedly to spot Doma, I find him standing behind another humanoid ice female who, at this period, blew a huge blast of cold air towards me. Cutting through the blast of cold with 'Fire Breathing Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun', I look to find Doma surrounded by five miniature ice clones of himself.

Revealing their own War Fans to me, the clones then start to wildly flap their fans towards me, generating a multitude of ice shards.

Being forced into 'Blooming Fire Undulation' again, I use the gap in the ice shards, to use 'Fire Breathing Fifth Form: Flame Tiger'. Having a giant tiger made of flames form behind me as I continue my sword slashes, all Doma's techniques quickly become encased in flames.

Breaking past all his clones and his humanoid ice female, I find Doma staring at me with completely unemotional eyes. Thinking that he could fight me in hand-to-hand combat, Doma doesn't run away from my technique, but upon my very first strike with my technique, his War Fan was knocked away and his entire torso was cut through.

Instantly healing the wound, I just inflicted, I hear Doma click his tongue while trying to back up from me. But taking full advantage of our closed distance, I use 'Flame Breathing Sixth Form: Fire that Pierces the Sky'.

Appearing in front of Doma in a mere moment, I stab upwards into Doma's head, but upon going to swing my blade around and try to decapitate him, I find my entire blade, along with my arm encased in ice.

"So, it seems I must use this technique. How shameful of me."

Feeling the burning cold as the ice digs into my arm, I think of ways to escape from this situation, and in my time of pain and worry, my blade slowly disconnects from Doma's neck. Being raised up into the air, I find myself hanging from a giant ice Bodhisattva. Knowing that every technique that I had required me to use my blade, I prepare myself for the raging heat of my Ninth Form, but my saving grace arrives.

From seemingly out of nowhere, Kanae shows up from next to me and uses 'Orchid Blossoming', cutting around the area I was encapsulated in, giving me just enough leeway to free myself from what could've been my icy grave.

Tearing my blade away from my frostbit hand, I wield it perfectly with my left hand. Looking at Kanae, the two of us nod at each other before squaring off against the Final Form of Doma's Blood Demon Art.

Sending a palm down onto us, with one arm, I cut directly though the Bodhisattva's hand with 'Rising Scorching Sun'.

As the large portions of the Bodhisattva's hand start to fall to the ground, I'm defended by Kanae knocking the falling pieces with 'Honorable Shadow Plum'. Seeing the faint figure of Doma trapped inside the center of the Bodhisattva, I first use 'Fire Breathing Seventh Form: Blaze Release' before then approaching the behemoth with 'Flame Tiger'.

Guiding the tiger with a single arm, Doma's Bodhisattva suddenly gains an array of Lotuses that send out both icy vines and ice shards. Along with these Lotuses, more of Doma's clones as well as two female ice humanoid figures were formed around him.

Focusing on the approaching adversaries, I watched as the Bodhisattva's mouth opened and released a huge bellow of frozen air. Having layered the flames of two techniques, my Tiger flickered from its normal coloration to a bluish color, protecting me from the waves of cold.

Cutting through the ice vines and Doma's ice clones, the remaining ice techniques I allow to be consumed by my Tiger's heat. Reaching a suitable enough distance from the Bodhisattva, I jump from the ground, approaching the place where Doma lay hidden. As I do so however, the other palm comes rocketing towards me.

Feeling as though I must waste my charged attack simply to defend against this, Kanae rockets past me with the blood vessels around her eyes popping. Knowing that Kanae used her final technique for Flower Breathing to let me continue, I didn't disappoint as I slammed by blade into the chest of the Bodhisattva. Continuing to carve my way through, the ice seemed to close in on me, but the heat from my flames holds it off. This increase of heat singlehandedly saved me from being consumed by the Bodhisattva.

Finally reaching where Doma lay, the second that I place my blade against his neck, I use my 0.01 seconds to use 'Fire Breathing Ninth Form: Amaterasu', making sure that Doma could never pull off any tricks to fake his death. Upon adding the black flames upon Doma's decapitation, the entire form of the Bodhisattva shattered. Being caught from the air by Kanae, I was gently placed on the ground.

Staring at the currently burning head of Doma, I could see his face remain entirely unemotional, however, his eyes flickered with a sense of wonder, most likely wondering what death would feel like when compared to all his other experiences.

Having his head disintegrate, whether by his own death or the flames, I look to Kanae with a disbelieving expression at the fact that we had just managed to kill the Upper Moon Two. However, my vision starts to turn blurry, and I feel a warm substance start coming from both my nose and mouth.

Dropping my blade, I wipe my mouth and hold my hand directly in front of my face, making the realization that it was blood.

The last thing I see before collapsing and passing out in Shinobu coming running towards us while Kanae hovers over me worriedly whilst holding the area around her eyes in pain.
