Reminiscence of Sorrows

The day started to snow lightly with a cold breeze. The sight of the day was peaceful. As usual, Akimitsu was walking alone to the exchange school. He walked alone through the cold breeze. His face was always emotionless with his eyes full of hatred and disgust at times and looked as if he had lost all of his feelings and emotions. The pain had left him scarred for his life, completely changing him in person, from a joyful and energetic into a lifeless and heartbroken individual.

When he reached the school, he walked past Ami, but they both ignored him and acted like strangers. He quickly sat into his seat in the class and only paid attention upfront even though his desk was next to Ami's. Both of them ignored each other throughout the class. After school ended, Akimitsu was about to walk out the door when suddenly, a girl went up to him and gave him an admiration letter and soon left. After the girl was out of sight, he quickly threw the letter away.

While walking back to his apartment room, Midori suddenly greeted him.

"How are you doing?" While putting her hands on Akimitsu's shoulder.

"Good..." He responded.

Midori suddenly stopped in front of him with a worried look on her face. "You've changed. You're not the Akimitsu I know..."

"I suppose so."

Midori sighed and nodded. "This will take some time to get used to."

After they've reached their room, Midori surprised him with a gift.

"Akimitsu."

"Yeah?"

"Here." Midori spoke while handing him a book.
