'A Glimpse of past'

!!==[Third Person POV]==!!

"Don't joke around Robin, You was poisoned with the Green Death*.", Lisa continued-"You are back from that hell of a poison and you say you aren't lucky? Jokes on me- Right?"

"Heh...Jokes?"

"I am not jokin'- As far I can think of my case right now, it's far better than loosing 5 units of blood due to being shot! Hehehehe.."- Raiden answered, laughing at his own comment.

"You!", She screeched her teeth in frustration, as her statement was suddenly neutralized by a single answer.

"Cool Down- Cool down- Cool down!", he said; laughing at her anger. "I mean I didn't even said you were that person who had that blood loss...*Coughs*"

"Yeah- Yeah! I am already in the freezer right now. Now shut up and take rest, otherwise I am gonna get goin' !"- She replied; being annoyed by the answers.

.

.

!!==[Raiden's POV]==!!

"Wait-Wait-Wait! I was joking- I was joking."

I said, trying to stop her.

"You are a nasty guy. A really nasty one."- She said, stabbing me by her words.

"Okay-Oke! I am nasty, Okie?"

.

.

TWO YEARS EARLIER-

"You are finding someone?"

.

.

"You were finding me, Right?"- I asked her again, as she remained silent on my previous question.

"Ye....Ah, I mean no..."- She spoke out, with a certain confusion in her voice.

"Don't run around in such a damp winter night, Every soul here isn't like me.", I tried giving my jacket, as I can see her shivering with cold.

"Ah...No need. I will be okay after a while."-She didn't accept the jacket; and started leaving.

But suddenly, I realized something.

All of the while till now, some in rush and some in darkness- I didn't noticed she was injured.

But as she got back on the street, I can see blood dripping from her back- her shoulders.

"Stop!.....", I tried stopping her.

"...Hey Mister!"- she turned in a flash, and pointed a D8 straight towards my head; crippling my next words I would have burped out.

She pointed it pinned to my head, I saw her face clearly for the first time all this while- Her eyes seeming like a fire-pearl, with her face gleaming with the golden reflection of the yellow streetlight.

"Listen! Thanks for saving me, but stay away from me now. I am an officer from Kolkata; Don't mess with my work!"- she exclaimed, pinning her gun more powerfully on my head.

"....", I smiled.

"Why are you smiling, eh?", She asked; maybe being annoyed by my smile.

"Are you sure your gun still works?"- I asked.

"Why? what happened?"

She answered; giving a determined look towards me.

But, I can notice the nervousness suppressed in her eyes; and more to that-

That her gun has no bullets in It.

"Okay, alright...alright...I wasn't trying to mess with your work anyways."- I continued; taking the cigarette down from my lips- "Look miss, I think you should....."

I saw a person in black, aiming a gun at her.

"...CAREFUL!"

I shouted, pushing her behind me.

*Bang!*

.

.

The bullet ran past my face, making me feel a slight burn on my left eye-side; leaving a long beep on my left ear.

*cluck-cluck!*

He ejected the bullet-case off his gun- seemingly a one-shot Breakknocker*.

We took a cover, and I took a look on the gunner's position.

"Give me your gun."

I asked the girl, which now seemed in a bit of a shock.

Seeing her being in a shock, I snatched her D8 from her hands-

D8, a low caliber standard pistol- manually fired by gunpowder.

I checked it's mag, dry and empty- as I expected.

No bullets?

Not a problem.

At least not when I have a plasma lighter*.

A plasma lighter, that is used to light a simple cigarette; can produce some insane plasma discharges if it is used properly- Afterall, even if that's a lighter, it produces plasmaculated condensed fire; and if you can de-condense that matter, you can blast some heads off.

"What are you doin'?", She asked as I forcedly pushed my lighter's metal core into the gun's barrell, facing it's ignition towards the firing pin of gun.

"Saving our life.", I said stricking the plasma core totally inside the gun's barrell.

"It can blast, Are you an idiot."

*Bang!*

That man fired another shot, taking a chunk off from the wall we took cover.

Breakknocker it was, indeed.

"Do you have a pinch of Gunpowder?", I asked.

"Yeah.", She handed me a small box.

"H.R.? some high-grade stuff...eh?", two words engraved on the small box.

I spoke out, refilling the gun's gunpowder case to it's full.

"Hey! That's more than safe.", She replied as I poured more than standard gunpowder in the gun.

"Shhhh! It's already more than un-safw for what I am making it to do from it.", I answered; calibrating the gun's trigger systems to manual.

"Stay here."- I said, waiting for the next shot that man fires on us again.

"You are Crazy! You think you can fire this thing even without getting your hands damned?", She said; glancing at my awkard hold on the gun.

"It's Fifty-fifty to it's most. If I die, just run away for your life. That Breakknocker is the most powerful civilian sniper gun available in here.", I said; taking off my jacket and spreading it on a stick.

*Crrrrrrr.....Bang!*

I moved that stick forward, and a red hot piece of metal in it's aura of being unstopped made a fist-like hole on my jacket, making it catch fire.

As that shot landed past my jacket, I jumped towards the sniper, throwing the stick towards his sight-

*Cluck-cluck*

He reloaded his gun, unwavered.

"You are dead, Young Boi!", He exclaimed; putting his index finger on his gun's trigger- wet with the condensation of cold air on the slightly heated trigger.

*Cluck-cluck*

*Bang!*

With a thundering whip of a sound, the gun in my hand blurted out fire, pushing the metal tube of the core rushing out of the barrell- superheated and melting down all it's way to the sniper's chest, throwing him many feets off from his Gun.

"I am not dead now, it seems."
