'Curiousity and Predictions'

!!==[Raiden's POV]==!!

A day has passed since my eyes opened in this old hospital run by the government, and I feel pretty much okay now, despite being bad as blind by all the ceiling lights poking into my eyes. I heard of the whole incident from Lisa last night, and now I wonder who these attackers were, They weren't just some ruffians obviously from their training and equipment.

*Knock-Knock*

"Come in.", I said; raising my body in a sitting position. "Bruh! I got something nice for ya!", Niloy entered the room, his hands carryin' a box of takeout from the Park Street- seemingly a box of cool 'mishti doi' in It.

"That's like my brother! What have you got?", I asked him still knowin' what's in intentionally. "Mishti Doi* with our usual Rosogolla**", He smacked his lips as his mouth failed to cope with the thoughts of eating it.

I, who already opened the boxes; got my choicest food- which was, unusually good. It was not until we started eating the Rosogolla, that I allowed my attention to wander to matters other than nourishment. I was at the stage of a meal when one becomes philosophic.

"Bro..", I sighed- "What do you think who were those attackin' us?"

Niloy leaned back on his chair which was beside my bed, his hands wiping his face while he closed his eyes to think. It was a very familiar expression of him to think like that, and I knew it well that he had some news about this.

"Greenbloods. Hybrid ones.", He exclaimed looking towards the ceiling.

"Hybrids?"-I asked.

"Lisa told me what the forensics told her."- He said.

"Hmm."-I murmured. Given one of them was a weird Greenblood, I suspected them to be someone from the northeastern Greenbloods; which are still powerful under their tyrant Ira- the famous Sagittarian general of Burmese 11th Governate. Though the 11th Governate had been liberated by humans again- General Iraseveralber of Greenbloods into the Harhwa* river's dense jungle regions, killin' many people in his way- And, this is the news we got just a month or two ago- Meaning, It can be a stir created by his Greenbloods, or just a blatant prediction of mine. And sayin' of predictions, I am sure this hybrid passed our borders without gettin' caught on the gates, only because his identity must be in our databases.

I think I got a point. "Tell Lisa to check the databases. He must have a name and identity mentioned there."- I remarked.

"Hubbard, Hughes...Race-Human, Age- 34...All fake.", Niloy answered, moving his head in negation. "Then it must have been hacked or been inserted from inside."- I said; proposing another possibility in the air.

"It can be though." He continued, thinking something, "Bruh! I wanted to ask about the book and the box you gave me that day, What are they?"

"Relics of the past...", I paused for a second. "You just reminded me of something right now!", I said; realizing I have missed something.

"What?", he exclaimed in confusion.

"I will tell you about it later, Get me those two and tell Ishan to meet me at noon. Hurry!", I said; urging.

"Oke Oke.... okay! As you say.", He said; getting up to leave.

"Wait.."

"What now?"

"Don't tell Lisa about this right now."

He nodded, leavin' the room.

Ishan is one of my old buddies here in this mirth- we have worked together earlier, so I know his character well. He is the best Data expert I have ever met. Too bad that he works for none, but for himself. Maybe he has some reasons for that, but even the Government hires him whenever he is needed. How I know him or what we worked on, let it be. Maybe someday It would be known well to others. As for why I don't want Lisa to know about this, She knows nothing about the book- The Book, which must be the cause of all the ruckus putting me next to my death and despair.

[That Noon-]

"Aye Robbie bro! Long time no see!"

A thin short masculine figure entered the room with a cap on his head, under which his pointed nose was visible with a slight peculiar smile on his lips. It was Ishan.

"Aye Aye Broski! Same here-", I welcomed him-" Come-Come-Come! Sit here."

He laughed and sat down on the chair next to me, taking his big cap off his head- exposing the unique multi-racial oval face filled with curiosity and easiness.

"Robbie-bhai*! What's the matter? What happened to your hand?"- He asked pointing towards my plastered hand.

"Just a peculiarity to be ignored. Let it be. How's your business goin'?", I asked.

"Fine as it was earlier. Not as unlucky as yours obviously.", He laughed throwin' his usual jokes on me.

"Heh...that I know well. Tell me somethin' new. I heard you were researching on the Victoria Memorial?", I asked him; straight to the point.

"Eh?", He looked at me with a surprised face; continuing- "How do you know that?"

"Heh...Have you forgotten I was your senior once?", I smiled.

"Robbie-bhai! I admire your seniority, but how do you know somethin' that even my girlfriend doesn't know about?"-He replied, still in a surprised state.

"Simple!", I continued; pointing towards his bulged pocket- "I have your Pda's access codes."

He hurriedly checked and took out the Pda, checking his files-"...But, How do you get my password?"

"Your Girlfriend."

"My Girlfriend?"

"Yeah."

"I shouldn't have given her the password to make those payments, Brrr!", He held his forehead in disappointment.

"Wait, Wait- She gave me that password long ago...She just wanted to know if you are having some fun behind her, " I answered; patting his arm.

His face turned serious.

"Don't worry, I haven't told her about that geeky girl you were datin' online.", I said; smirking over my vantage.

He held his head again, his serious face turning into a hopeful lump- "Thanks for that, I don't want to cheat her; That girl...."

"That girl was blackmailin' you. Right?", I said; stopping his words.

"Yeah...", He nodded- "So you were noticing everythin' what I was doin'?"

"In case, yes.", I asserted.
