'Meeting with Boss Tai'

!!==[Raiden's POV]==!!

.

.

"No one can understand these girls."

I murmured as my face seemed to have a bruise on it as I came out of the shock of getting suddenly slapped by a girl.

.

.

"Robbie-bhai! What happened?", a sound came from the stairs behind me-- I can recognize it was Ishan.

I immediately covered the bruise on my face with my hand and looked towards him.

Afterall- I can't let myself get humiliated before my junior.

"Robbie-bhai! Forget hiding that bruise...You are too late to hide that...HaHaha!", He laughed; as he ran down the remaining steps in a hurried way.

"I have kept that book under your pillow...I would be going now.", He said- ignorantly moving past me.

"Aye Aye! Don't tell anyone about what you have seen today-- Otherwise, Your girlfriend might see what you do without her anyways..."

I said; joking.

"Robbie-bhai Don't scare me. Forget it! I am not telling anyone else about this.", He said; understanding my joke as it seemed.

"Ishan!", i shouted- "Meet me tommorow at the South Kolkata's bay-hatch*... I will see that place myself!"

He waved his hands in assertion and left.

"Heh...", I took a sigh.

"Seems Its the right time to meet the Boss right now.", I murmured to myself; hurrying back up towards my Boss's room.

Oh yes, I forgot to tell somethin'; The hospital is in Kalyani- a place inside the Tsunami Barriers, that is the only part of Kolkata isn't submerged into the depths of that mighty and reckless sea.

Well, Tsunamis are too often everywhere- Some say they are caused by those Sagittarians; and some say they are caused by the Dead souls of the Ancient humans-- which crave for our death; as they died a miserable death.

Heh, I don't think to which extent it is Truth or not-- but definitely, It is the creepiest and dumbest explaination someone can give it to explain a natural phenemonon.

"Aiyooo!"

I mistakenly tried using my fractured hand to open the door.

Crap! That hurts.

*Knock-Knock*

I slowly knocked the door of my Boss's ward as it was closed from inside.

.

.

"Come in!"

*beep*

The sound of door being unlocked came alongwith the deep voice of Boss.

"Good evening! Boss Tai!", i greeted him- "How are you now?"

"Fine as it can seem.", Boss Tai said; pointing towards his amputed leg which was now fitted with a prosthetic one.

He was sitting on a bed next to many cylinders of regenerators; with many tubes passing next to his knee; where was the prosthetic was attached.

Bizzare as it could be; Bizzare it was.

"You fine-ness is enough bizzare for me, as it can seemin'ly seem to my mind.", I said.

"Heh...You and your philosophic sh*t! never stops coming out.", he answered; laughing.

"Hahahaaaa! Boss! Well all is fine if you are fine.", I joked- "Afterall, you are my money-giver."

Boss laughed as he heard that-

"Heh...Robbie--Your care for my fine-ness is appreciated.", He continued; with some serious-ness now- "Well, You have kept those two things safe; right?"

"That Book and the box?", I asked; even if I could tell he was talking about them.

"Yes.", he said- "Have you tried opening that box?"

"No.", I said.

"Don't speak lies. You have opened it-- aren't you?", He asked; with a smirky questioning style.

"Uh-huh", I gestured no again.

"Strange it is then. From when did you became so good?", He replied; his voice having the essence; that he didn't believed my words.

Actually, Honest-ly speaking--

I did try opening that hell of a box.

Having the size a bit bigger than a standard suit-case; Whatever it had inside it, was enough light to carry in proportions to it.

On the basis of above--

When I thought of opening it, I predicted that it would have more than one opening mechs, or security layers-- as the same of the military gradient cases.

But, too bad for me was that- the lock it had on it; was something which can only be opened by it's verified user-- And if a unauthorized person even tries to open it, it will self-destruct the things inside.

So, in conclusion-- I dumped the idea of opening this hell-of-a-box.

.

.

"You seem to have tried opening that box, but you had to give up after a realization that you can't open it without destroying the stuff inside. Right?"

Boss Tai suddenly said; predicting the things going on my mind on his voice, correctly.

"Nai Nai nai!", I tried fidget out of the situation that I was going to fall in because of my habitual lie I said just a bit of moments ago.

Heh, that's what is actually left of that fraudster reputation.

"Heh...Don't worry, I gave you that thing for you and Nitro. If it was something for me, I would have never given you.", He answered; comforting me.

I nodded, as I understood his answer.

He continued- "It's password is your name.", He paused for moment; speaking with a smile--"I know you were looking for this answer at your next question....."

"Aye Boss! Have you eaten some prediction drugs or something got upgraded in your brain while you were treated here? How are you so predictive to me right now?", I asked; with curiousity.

He smiled; smirking at his on-the-mark predictions-

"I have only one thing as a talent. Observing things, and telling their history. I have observed you for more than an year now. If I can't predict what you are thinking for obvious right now, I would better go die in a handful of water."- He said; looking at me with his Asian- carved eyes.

The eyes, which had more depth than the sea spaning south to where I was- and I feared these unpredictable eyes that can actually see through me, most of the time.

When he says something like this, A fear that He will someday really know about my unfortunate past, really kills my senses for a while- making me think in assumptions to what extent somethin' can actually go wrong.

For Nitro, He always says--

'Think for the best, prepare for the worst.'

But, Does that really matters?

I am no philosopher.

And, not yet a qualified one to judge so.
