*Beep* *Beep*
My watch beeped as the time struck the 20th hour of the Night.
Night is Cold, as it was everyday.
For me, I am back to my Ward now.
Warm as it seems, it really matches with the name it has as the Military Medical Facility of Calcutta.
Well, it's already a luck for me to be treated here-- who has near to zero status in the society I reside in. But having some people from high status as your friends, means you are lucky enough in the darkness of the present world.
*Buzz*
My watch buzzed now, this time for a incoming call from my brother- Niloy.
'Robbie! I am at your house, I have things you asked me to bring you tommorow morning. I called as I wanted to know where should I send them-- The Hospital?', He asked; his voice shaking on the comms as usual.
"Not here. Meet me at the Howrah Bridge's ruins with that.", I answered.
'Oki', He asserted.
"Another thing, Don't let that missy know about this.", I requested.
'Hmm.', He said, and hanged up the call.
.
.
Turning off my Pda, i leaned back on my bed; trying to get an early sleep for the next day's
hustle-bustle.
But, as easy it sounds to anyone, it wasn't for me to sleep without being drenched in the arms of Liquor and Cigarettes. Unfortunately, My last cigarette was also ruined for the good in the daytime.
"Heh, It's a crap.", I muttered.
"Why I even thinking of them.", I said to myself.
I tried to divert myself for rest of the while, but diversion seemed to be the least effective thing for me.
Eventually, My watch beeped again- Now telling me it's Twenty-first hour of the Night.
I closed my eyes and waited for the sleep to drift pass me.
Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door.
Unexpected it was, I was unsure who is it.
As for the first heard, I thought it was the dinner, but after my head corrected me by telling I have eaten already by seven, I was left by no ideas about what or who the heck it was knocking my door at such an unexpected hour.
For the second, I well knew by no ways the doctor will come here- As in this era of restlessness, no one cares for anyone without any profits; except he or she is actually in love or has a sense of obligation between each other.
"Come In.", I said; still having confusion on the person knocking the door.
Reaching towards the drawers- I, by instinct grabbed the gun kept inside it; and waited for the door to be opened by the Visitor, Ready to draw it out on that person's head if he or she is someone that can be considered a threat to me.
A long sound of metallic screech followed the door's opening, and a large figure appeared in a dark and black cloak. The person had a hoodie on his head, that covered his face enough not to be seen by anyone.
The Aura of enigma was incredible around the person, and it gave off a familiar aura from it's face, which seemed to be engulfed with dark and damp smokes from it's edges.
With no hesitation or sound from his mouth, the person entered the room, his black cloak dullifying any of my senses completely towards a enigmatic shock.
As that person approached me, A metallic screech of gears and joints followed with him- intensifying with every step he took towards my bed.
I was in a complete shock.
The half-lit room seemed too dark to see anything properly. Despite my night-eye corneal implants, it seemed like they were completely ineffective as I tried looking up towards that person's face.
By instance, I suddenly realized the person approaching me had thin- bone-like metallic hands, that seemed hidden inside the long dark coat with the cloth it wore around it's seemable structure of a demon-like body.
The metallic figure stopped some feet next to me, and finally it seemed I can recognize him as he lowered his head towards me.
A glimpse of his face horrified me. It was dark with two burning red balls of fire in the place of eyes.
A hissing sound came out from the figure, as it revealed it's metallic hand with daggers in the place of fingers, seeming like the fangs of a beast of the grim forests.
A chill ran down my spine.
I tried drawing out the gun from the drawers, but what I found made me almost dead with no less than my heart skipping a beat.
"Sh*t! I can't move my body!"- I murmmered as the figure before me started closing in more swiftly with the aura of his darkness engulfing my senses ever more.
The sound of metal screeches rendered my ears shut itself down.
The grim darkness of the figure before me blinded my eyes down.
I went senseless in no time, and.....
.
.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
I heard the sound of my watch.
Wait, What?
My watch is beeping?
.
.
I opened my eyes to check.
And suddenly, A cataclysmic strike of light struck my eyes, immediately blinding my eyes for a while.
After which I was finally able to see properly, and the dark and numb room was no more before me.
There was no one in the room.
Not a single organism other than me.
"Did I just had a Nightmare?", I murmmered; still half asleep and half awake in the purge of light coming from the fibreglass windows beside my bed.
On the other side of which, the smoke and fog of the Harbour Factories were covering the whole city.
The Eastern sky was red with the Sun's approach, slowly causing the fog and smoke to make way-
But, Just as I tried appreciating this scenery, I realized something.
From the Sun's light, it seemed to have arosed too early than what I expected, and guess what?
I am late now.
