Fly High!

Jake's Perspective:

"So, how are we doing this, James? We got less time, so we have to make this ship really quickly, you know that right?"

"I have the perfect solution for that! Eat this."

He had seven candies in his hand. Of course, there are weird things he has made in the past like an experimental A.I (appropriately named Baxter) and that malfunctioned, almost burning down the entire lab, and many other strange contraptions. But this...was a whole new level of weird. "Now what the hell is this supposed to be? This is not the time to eat M&M's, buddy." said Jim. He was really impatient now that saving the world became a topic of discussion in our group. "Calm thyself, because this my friend, could turn you into a lightbeam! This candy, is a speed enhancer, increasing your body metabolism in high speeds! Meaning you will be 10 times your normal speed." exclaimed James, talking like he found the cure to cancer or something.

"Well, quick question, did you test it first?" asked Sam. Well, that too...was out of nowhere...

"Uhhmm, yeah! All tested and ready to try!" James was sweating now, clumsily holding two thumbs up. I swear to God, this guy is going to be a chore to work with. "Oh, by the way, V's don't need that. And I don't think Jim needs it either. We got speed on our side already. So, you guys can have it." I said, with a bit of pride. Being a Vampire or a Dark Magician has it's perks, you know? "Sam, Ver, come on. Atleast we have to eat it though." James gulps while he says 'eat', maybe he's afraid to test it out. They eat their candies. Suddenly, they each start shaking as if they suddenly caught a huge cold. But, turns out, it actually worked! They started going bananas and flew around the room looking for the parts to assemble our desired ship. With our help, in due time(5 hours), we were able to make our spaceship. We named it 'The Star Scorcher'. We didn't care what it meant, but it sounded cool. "Guys, since we're gonna be heroes now, we need to conceal our identity. So, what do you say about some suits?" asked Sam. Seemed like Jim and Sam were really keen on doing what Heroes do. "I got that covered too! I have a really amazing printer that can print any materials with any design of your choice! So, tell me your ideas, people!" said James. Ok, I'm not gonna lie, this is all awfully convenient, if I say so. But soon enough, all convenience would have left us back on Earth.

"We'll decide what our suits look like in a bit. For now, we all need a team name and an individual hero name", said Jim. I replied something to that really quickly, and never realized that it would be stuck with us till the end of our lives. "Let's call our team, 'The Star Hunters', how about it?"

And so, our Journey began.
