Darkness rune

He knew the system was right and forgave it. "So what did that process you made go through do to me". He asked with a tinge interest in his eyes even though. It felt weird to talk to the system, but he guessed the administrator was there to help him in his beginning endeavors as it had so far.

'[Well I helped you create your dantian faster with a forbidden cultivation technique, and now all of your centers of power are active and in unity]'. He enjoyed that idea even if he didn't understand it and then started to focus on the new crystal like structure, as he focused on it the crystal started to glow a sickly black glow. As it glowed, he felt some sort of gas entering the crystal the gas began to fill the internal constitution of the crystalline structure. After several hours of sitting there he was forced to stop due to the fact that barely any more gas was entering and he stopped being exited due to the slow speed. He wasn't worried about laking things to do though because the system had told him he was ready for the runes. He looked inside himself and noticed that the crystal went from being the size of his pinky finger to the size of his fist. He got surprised and concerned by the suddenness of the expansion so he quickly asked the system.

"Oi what's happening". He was annoyed with not being kept in the loop of what was happening.

'[The reason I had you increase your datian is because we use the essence of nature around us to enlarge the crystal and the larger it is the more mana you have access to the more attacks, crafting, techniques, and whatever else you need that you can perform. So I had to get your mage crystal to a large enough size to perform the creation of the runes. I achieved this result by teaching you a method that works extremely fast in the beginning but stops working after a certain point due to the complexity of the energy it starts to advances towards. The technique doesn't work for that level and soon you'll have to find and use your own techniques perhaps even make your own so get ready]'. John immediately understood what it meant he was glad to have such a helpful assistant while he was just starting out.

Not wanting to waste any time he quickly pulled to scroll out, he sat on a chair next to a large wooden table, with a large number of crafting materials on the floor next to it and a large metal box on the right side of the table. Inside the large box many steel tools were neatly arranged, he looked at the scroll and grabbed all the tools for it, but he suddenly remembered something.

"Hey system I don't think I'll be able to preform this crafting, the scroll says I need to use energy of my specific element to craft this".

The system administrator cursed to its self then spoke. '[Oh I'm sorry, I got caught up in the moment and was nostalgic about my past. So all you need to do is focus on the orb and use your mana on it to understand your elemental affinities]'. The administrator said nonchalantly.

Many things happened as he opened his eyes, the colors on the orb changed fast, and the system was freaking out, he was confused about what was happening so he simply asked."What happened system". The orb began flowing in and out of light and illuminated him in a bright light that was blinding.

'[Well this is definitely a change to what i'm used to]'. It began analyzing and pondering the orb. The light was beginning to piss John off so he spoke with annoyance obvious in his voice.

"Ok, but what exactly happened ". He was now getting quite pissed with it not telling him anything.

'[You have affinities for the darkness element, the most rare element also known as the element of death]'. He was so confused as to what that meant and that such a game and anime like concept was real and existed in this world, so he just sat there in silence hoping for further information.

'[The only strong element I can sense so far is the darkness element, but there are many others intermingled in the orbs aura, which is quite strange for your level especially with the death aura being so pronounced]'.

After that the system gave him a step by step process on how to infuse the rune he created, with the darkness element. After a long process he held a 3 inch by three inch rune that radiated a dark glow and had an ominous aura.

After the creation of the rune, the system told him to do something strange. As he placed the rune on his forehead, an immense pain emitted and the rune glowed as it traveled into his sea of consciousness, when it made it, the rune stopped right next to his mental sphere, which appeared to be thicker than it was earlier.
