Abyss cage

He opened his system and immediately went to the dungeon action immediately, ignoring everything else and entering without another thought. He felt the familiar breeze and the smell of grass, he excitedly opened his eyes and stood up. He was gonna kill some rabbits and other critters until he had enough orbs to advance to another higher level of power.

Looking around he saw a wolf-like creature running at him with breakneck speeds. It was basically a blur he was only able to barely keep up with its movements due to his hybrid status. He felt terror and a shiver shot down his spine as he saw a sort of green like substance was flowing all around it, mostly concentrated at the legs and more specifically the paws, this is probably the reason for its immense speeds. Death that was the aura that the wolf was emitting it froze him just long enough for the wolfs mischievous plan. He blinked and it suddenly appeared in front of him and using all the power he could muster into his legs he managed to dodge by the skin of his teeth the claw coming straight at his face with practiced ease. If he hadn't he would have instantly lost his eyes, even though he dodged right on time, he still got slashed in his left arm the wound was deep but his incredible skin absorbed most the damage.

He felt thankful for the pain now that it had saved his arm, even so he was still in the middle of battle. He focused back up and cleared his mind solely focusing on the enemy in front of him.

Just as the wolf beast ran at him again, he opened his maw and blasted it with his cursed flames, its fur caught ablaze and started to roll on the ground as a way to hopefully douse itself. Sadly for the beast it wouldn't be going out any time soon and the flames began to consume its skin. While it was burning he took the chance to cast the spell that he had been working on for a while.

All of the light in the area disappeared instead being swapped with a blackish purple undulating substance, but he could see just fine, even though he was seeing the fluctuations in the darkness and not his eyes. The benefits of being a darkness mage and having dragon abilities and their body came in clutch to finish the fight.

This spell was called abyss cage, as it was an enclosed location made purely of a type of abyss black darkness, created by the user. This spell could be paired with other spells of the dark type and increased their power by two fold, the spells use some of the darkness surrounding them and the energy in the users mage crystal.

As proud as John was about his spell, he still knew that he would have to finish the fight. John pulled out the machete he got as it increased strength by 1 and increased damage by 50 and used another spell to coat the weapon with a black metallic color(reference back a few chapters ago) this basically doubled the damage it did while in use and also since he was in the abyss cage it was even stronger than usual. He quickly found the only other place in the darkness where the darkness was displaced around a large object, once he found it he focused all the strength in his arms to be ready to slash as he ran at the wolf. Running as fast as he was would obviously use a lot of energy, but the sooner the battle was over the sooner he could rest so he put energy consumption basically to the back of his mind.

As soon as he arrived, he slashed down and was surprised when his blade met the teeth of the wolf. He was even more surprised when he only saw a few of its teeth crack. The wolf jumped back as it realized that it would be in danger otherwise. The wolf was much more wary of him afterwards, he noticed that the wolf must have smelt he was near and bit at him, causing its teeth to crack. A sinister smirk popped up on John's face as the beginning of his torture of the poor creature had just begun.
