Death and Determination

The entire group fell into an eerie silence as the surrounding atmosphere grew tenser by the second. The trees swayed back and forth though there was no wind to be felt, the clouds gathering above their heads cast a gloomy shadow over the area, causing the soldiers to grip the weapons nervously

" I won't repeat myself " asked Michelle her tone now much colder as the silver glow in her eyes intensifies

" are you Michelle Takami? " asked A bald headed middle aged man, who had a serious expression adorning his face as he managed to meet Michelle's gaze, though she could smell his nervousness.

Michelle squinted when she heard his question, as she didn't remember ever introducing herself, the last time she ' invited ' the other soldiers off her property. Before a cruel glint pass through her eyes and she looked over her shoulder at Mieko who didn't meet her gaze and looked away ashamed, seemingly coming to the same conclusion

' I thought you were a cool guy, was even considering saving your life, now it's gonna cost you your wife and daughter ' thought Michelle with a snort

Michelle turned her attention back to the soldiers before her, as her eyes narrowed even further as she truly started to process the numbers

' why are there so many people here ? ' pondered Michelle as she met the man's gaze

" unless there's someone else with the name, it should be me " replied Michelle calmly, though the clouds above her grew darker showcasing her true feelings

" we have reason to believe that you're a danger to the inhabitants of the is wall, after you're in custody we'll carry out a thorough investigation of your identity and your purpose. Will you come easily or will we have to resort to force " said the man calmly though his voice turned serious towards the end

The area returned to silence, as the two groups seemingly had a stare off though this was quickly broken by unbridled and disdainful laughter, causing shock to both groups. Though Mikasa and Mieko released silent sighs as they seemingly expected this reaction after getting to know Michelle

" hahahahahaha, resort to force he says " said Michelle in between laughter as she wiped the tears from her eyes " I haven't had such a good laugh in a while " said Michelle nostalgically before a blood thirsty expression appeared on her face as she met the man's startled gaze

" what's your name ? " asked Michelle her voice now somewhat warm and cheery though it sent a chill down the spines of everyone who heard it

" Dot Pixis " replied the man as he slowly placed his hand on the handle of the blade on his waist, only for his eyes to widen as a massive figure suddenly appeared before his face. His frightened eyes meeting the gaze of emotionless silver ones

" here's what's gonna happen, Pixie boy " said Michelle causing the soldiers surrounding her to jump in fright as they didn't even notice her moving " I'm gonna ask you some questions, everytime you lie or tell me something I don't like, I'll kill 50 of your men, that gives you 10 chances, do note I'll only ask once commander " explained Michelle nonchalantly while ignoring the blades pointed at her , never once moving her gaze from the man who stepped back warily

" why did you bring so many people here? " asked Michelle calmly only to receive silence as an answer

" seems you don't understand your place " said Michelle as she shook her head in disappointment before she slowly raised her hand, causing several soldiers close to her to rush her to try and restrain, only for time to seemingly pause as Michelle slowly brought her hand down

* BOOOM *

A massive explosion was heard, as monstrous gust of winds kicked up filling the entire area with dust restricting visibility, though that didn't stop the soldiers hasty retreat, though stumbling and pushing each other while coughing and shielding their eyes

As the wind settle and the dust cleared everyone looked around to see what happened only to suddenly freeze in fear as they took in the new ravine which seemingly split the forest in 2, most rubbed their eyes thinking that they were dreaming only for their faces to turn grim as they spotted several arms and legs and pieces of flesh dotting the ravine like decorations

" oops " everyone turned to face the owner of the voice, seeing Michelle staring down their commander as if she could see him even through that cloud of dust " I accidentally killed 50 more than I intended, I'm sure I'll get it right the next couple times, trust me " said Michelle with a bright smile as if she didn't just turn 100 people into paste

Though If someone asked, she really didn't feel proud at the damage she could cause, she'd be more surprised if she couldn't do something like that with her strength, maxed stats and a Tier 3 martial arts skilled

" I- "

Michelle listened calmly as the man started answering her questions while ignoring the frustration and anger on his face, along with the fear she received from the surrounding soldiers. She narrowed her eyes as his explanation grew further along before she dismissed him after she gained everything she wanted to know

Suppressing a chuckle as they ran as if a titan was chasing them after receiving her words,though a thoughtful expression appeared on her face

' a weapon against Titans huh ' thought Michelle before she felt someone pull her shirt sleeve, glancing behind her, only to frown as she had to catch a slap coming towards her face, looking coldly towards the owner

" you murderer!!! " screamed Carla as she looked angrily at Michelle while struggling to pull back her arm, while shielding Eren behind her back, when Michelle was about to speak

* SLAP *

" What do you know ? " asked Mieko coldly, her arm still in the air after she slapped Carla who looked at her still shocked at what just happened, causing Michelle to release her hand in surprise " when Michelle is outside these walls which protect your family, killing hordes of Titans, where are the members of the garrison? " she asked

" Sitting comfortably inside the walls, drinking and sleeping " she continued before Carla could answer " and now they show up her armed and try to take her away, why not show that enthusiasm outside the walls- " screamed Mieko before she was interrupted by Michelle who placed her hand on Mieko's head causing her to look at her

" it's okay " said Michelle before she started wiping the tears from Mieko's face as she unknowningly started crying before she hugged Michelle and broke down

As she felt Michelle's arms around her and felt the security they brought she cried even harder. Never had she felt so powerless, if Michelle wasn't there she could not protect herself nor her daughter, she felt so vulnerable

Never again, she never wanted to feel like this again, she'll gain to strength to protect those she held dear
