Sweet Oleander

Aunt Sheila began screaming for joy. The two girls, who had been on the garden all along ran in. 


"Mummy, what happened? Why are you screaming?" Minka know began. 


"I heard Ogar's voice if I am not mistaken, he said Doctor"Nkom began explaining then she paused as though a thought had instantly dawned on her. 


"Ogar spoke?' the two girls said in unison as they exchanged glances. 


Glee danced about their faces. Uncle Travis rose to his feet and raised his hands upward. 


"Thank you God, for you never fail. You can never fail me, never!" 


Ogar looked at everyone and smiled. He could hear aunty Sheila saying "we were speaking about this, a few moments ago. What a miracle. Wow!", Nkom added as she gazed at Minka. 


Minka heaved as she smiled. Nkom realized her sister would feel less burdened, as Ogar appears to be recuperating . He would not resume school immediately anyway. 


The consolation
