True Color

Louie woke up early the next day. He prepared breakfast that day. He wanted to bring breakfast to his sister's room to coax her. After a few moments, he had already prepared the girl’s favorite which is bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, and milk. The young man came up with a tray on which his sister's breakfast was placed. The young man knocked before opening the door of the room.

"Micay? "

The young man called his sister who was enjoying her sleep. Louie placed the tray on the side table on the right side of the girl's bed before he sat down next to his sister.

"Micay?"

He called to his sister again, before gently touching her shoulder. Micay opened her eyes when she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. She would have smiled at her brother when she remembered the incident of the previous day.

"What are you doing here?" she asked with a frown.

"Micay, I'm sorry." he apologized.

The girl sat up and looked up at her brother.

"You're annoying."

"I'm sorry, I'm just worried about you."

"Brother, I'm old enough, don't you trust me?"

"I am, but can you blame me? You're the only sister I have, so that's why I need to take care of you."

"But still brother. Didn't you promise?"

"Ok ok, it won't happen again."

"Promise?" the girl asked while smiling.

The young man took a deep breath before answering.

"Promise."

The girl hugged her brother as she noticed the tray full of her breakfast.

"Wow! Miracle, you cooked." she was teasing her brother.

"You know, you're the only one I can prepare to do that."

The young man messed up his sister's hair. The girl wiped away her brother's hand.

"All right, stand there and get ready for breakfast," he said to his sister while smiling.

The girl got off her bed and went to the bathroom to wash and brush her teeth.

"Is that delicious?" she asked his brother with a smile as he went back to his bed and sat down and ate his breakfast.

Louie just watched her while eating.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Micay asked her brother.

"I already ate earlier while preparing your breakfast." the girl just nodded.

Eventually, the brother called his sister's attention.

"Are you still coming later?" Louie asked her.

"Of course brother, why?" the girl replied while enjoying her food.

"I just thought that because Arslan farm is also far away, you might get bored on the trip." The girl looked up at her brother.

"We've already talked about this, haven't we? Besides, I want to see how beautiful that place is so that I can also understand why Uncle Miguel wants to buy that land." the girl answered her brother.

"Okay all right, but remember what you promised."

"You're the only one who doesn't know how to keep promises."

"Fine! I didn't say anything." The young man stood up and took the tray that his sister used and went out of the room.

After Louie came out, Micay immediately picked up her cellphone that was under her bed. She talked to someone on the phone for a while before going to her bathroom to take a shower and get dressed. When she got down, she caught up with her older brother who was talking on his cellphone while frowning. When he looked at her, he suddenly smiled at her. He motioned for her to go ahead of their car which was waiting for them outside the house. A few minutes later, Louie left the house and got into their car.

"Who are you talking to? ” the girl asked.

"Carlos, until now they still haven't seen Alicia," he answered while his face darkened.

"Who is Alicia?" Micay asked while feigning ignorance.

"She's the secretary of Dad and became his live-in partner before. She stole a lot of money before she left"

"We have to find whoever that is to get back what she stole." the girl answered.

"That woman will see how wrong it is to collide and be an enemy of a Davidson."

His hands were clenched, which resulted from them turned white due to the thickness

"Just calm down, just think about that when you find her." the girl held the young man's hand to calm him down.

The young man took a deep sigh before speaking again.

"I'm sorry Micay, you're too young to worry about this problem."

"I'll deal with such problems one day, won't I? It's nice to see at least once how you and Uncle Miguel can overcome business problems."

The girl had an understanding answer to him.

The girl fell asleep on their trip to the Arslans farm. She woke up hearing arguments outside their car. She was already lying in the car seat and both her older brother and their driver were no longer with her. Micay felt her surrounding for a moment. She was about to sit up properly when she heard a gunshot. She witnessed how an elderly man passed out and died in front of the car, holding an envelope that she guessed was the title of the land. Louie picked up the envelope before shooting the old man in the head again. If Micay was just an ordinary girl, she might have been overwhelmed by the fear of what she saw. She returned from her former position when she saw that her older brother had asked his men to lift the old man away from their car. She pretends to be asleep until she felt her brother got back into their car followed by their driver.

'The day I have been waiting for the most is coming' the girl spoke in her mind.

'And when that day comes, all your victims will just laugh at you and a meaningful smile flashed on the girl's lips.
