Francis

Residents in the area tended to Grandpa Orhan's funeral, as their unexpected visitors left. Everyone mourned the loss of the old man. The locals loved the old man very much because he is kind. He also became the father of Francis, so he was so angry when he found out that he had been killed. He promised himself that they would seek the justice that was due for the old man.

It was late at night when the image of the girl suddenly entered the young man's mind. For some reason, he did not know but she seemed familiar to him, but he could not remember where he had seen her. His deep thoughts were interrupted by the mother's knock on his door before she opened the door and entered his room. The young man got up from his bed to give his mother a space to sit on the bed.

"Are you alright?" The trace of concern in the lady's tone is evident.

"I honestly can't understand what I'm going to feel," the young man said.

"I don't understand why Grandpa Orhan has to go through this."

His face darkened as he remembered what had happened to the old man. The lady stroked the young man's back. She couldn't blame him if he felt very angry at what happened to the old man because he was so close to him. Grandpa Orhan taught Francis how to farm. The young man learned a lot from him, especially how to properly socialize with other people. Grandpa Orhan is respected by everyone in their area.

"I swear I will make those people who did this to him pay for what they've done." The trace of determination on the young man's face is evident.

The next day, the young man helped his mother to fix up Grandpa Orhan's house. Because the old man was alone living in his house because his children had families of their own and his wife had been living in peace for ten years.

"Francis, please hide some of his belongings in Grandpa Orhan's room. Maybe someone else will be interested in his belongings without us being aware of them."

His mother spoke as she handed him a large box containing some personal belongings of the old man.

When Francis entered the old man's room on the second floor of his house, he went straight to one of his closets at the end of his room. There he arranged the old man's belongings. When he was done, the young man immediately closed the closet and walked out of the room.

But even before he reached the door a wooden box protruding from under the old man's bed caught his attention. The young man stared at the box for a few moments, arguing in his heart whether he would open it or not. But his curiosity and a strange feeling prevailed. He approached the old man's bed and took the wooden box under it. The box had a padlock holder but it was already open. The young man sat on the bed and then opened the box, and the copy of the photocopied land title of the old man's ownership of land was revealed to him. He lowered the box next to him

"Where is the original copy of this," the young man asked himself in astonishment.

He went through some of the contents of the box one by one. There were only old photos of the old man with his mother and a man who seemed familiar to him, there were a few more photos of them together, and some of them were with him when he was a baby. There are also some shots of him being carried by the man.

After looking at some photos he decided to put them back in the box by accident he dropped the box from the bed. Its contents spread on the floor, the young man immediately got off the bed to pick them up, when his eyes caught sight of transparent plastic and a birth certificate in it. His name appeared there but the last name was written differently. Davidson. The young man frowned and pulled out the paper inside the plastic, at the same time as he pulled out a folded paper fell off. It was a letter containing a will that came from a man named Henry Davidson. Anger appeared on the young man's face after he read the contents of the letter. The young man quickly hid the contents of the wooden box and hurried down the stairs while calling his mother.

He caught up with Erine who was cooking in the kitchen.

What happened and why are you shouting?" she asked with a mixture of wonder.

"Mom! What does this mean?"

He asked his mother angrily as he reached for the papers he was holding. When the woman saw what her child was reaching for, she suddenly turned pale, and fear appeared on her face. Suddenly she sat down on one of the chairs at the table closest to her.

"Where did you see them?" from her seat the lady looked up.

Her eyes were filled with tears and she was full of inexplicable fear.

"In Grandpa Orhan's belongings." the young man replied, the look of astonishment on his face at the mother's reaction.

Without a word, the lady suddenly grabbed the document from the hands of her son.

"This isn't the right time yet... not yet..." she said crying.

The young man approached his mother and sat down in front of her. He touched his mother's shoulder to calm her down.

"Mom, calm yourself"

He handed the lady the water in the glass. When the lady drank the water she looked at her child seriously.

"Francis," the lady took a deep breath before holding the young man's hands before she continued speaking.

"What you read in the letter is all true."

The young man listened intently to his mother.

"You're not a real Arslan my son. And I'm not your real mother either."

It was as if cold water had been poured on the young man because of what he heard.

"How?" asked the young man, unable to believe what he just heard.

"Your father left you to me. At the same time giving this land where I can get a living for you." the lady replied to him.

"Then who are my real parents?" the young man's face hardened.

"Henry ... Henry Davidson." the young man suddenly laughed bitterly.

"So that's why my name is different from the locals here."

"Because Dad himself gave your name."

Suddenly the mother and son turned to the person who just arrived.

"You?" the young man asked in surprise,

"What are you doing here?" he added.

Smiling, the girl approached him and held out her right hand.

"It's nice to meet you too. I'm Micay, your younger sister." she introduced herself with a big smile plastered on her lips.
