"Did I mention this food is life?" I said and took a huge bite from the huge sandwich I'd taken from the supply bag.
"Yes! Seven times! Now stop talking with food in your mouth. It's gross." Kat scrunched up her nose.
"No, it's not," I argued, my mouth still full. "Tell her, Nick."
He pinched my lips together with his index finger and thumb. "As much as I regret agreeing with Kat, I have to say that it's gross." I scowled with my lips still pressed close.
"Who's gonna take the first shift?" Trevor interrupted the argument I was losing. I looked at him thankfully. We had decided to rest a bit before we progressed further in the level. Trevor had found a hidden corner where we could safely sleep but none of us wanted to take a risk so we had made an arrangement where one person would keep watch while the others slept. Every one of us was going to take turns for it.
"I'll do it." Dominic volunteered.
