How I Lose Everyone

"This pole is annoying," Kat complained. It was her turn to carry the pole, it had come early since nobody allowed me to do manual work.

"Let me carry it." Trevor tried to take the pole from her.

"No, I'm fine, I'll do it." She pulled it back.

"I should do it," I said. "It was supposed to be my turn."

"Don't be stupid." Nick chided. "You're not even steady on your feet, how will you keep carrying this?"

"I can," I argued. "I'm not dizzy all the time, it happens all of a sudden and it's not even frequent, it's happened only three or four times." I tried to convince him. He rubbed his forehead, clearly in a dilemma. "Please," I begged. I didn't want them to treat me like a weak person, I was fine. I didn't need more debts, even this was a huge debt for me. Sean had already burdened me and I didn't even know how I was going to repay him if we ever met again.
