Isaac has finally begun playing Lore of The Myst, an immersive VRMMO that's been out for nearly a year. After a rocky start, things take an interesting and mysterious turn when he has recently learned he is the Great Hero of an ancient prophecy. 

He learned of a Great Evil threatening the land, and has been given a map with the path to a relic containing some sort of Great Power, hidden away in an ancient tower.

On his journey, his first stop leads him into an abandoned temple, where he discovers a stone imbued with an elemental power.

Even stranger, the game guide holds no information on this item. If this is part of the game, why is there no information? It's part of the prophecy, no doubt, but is there a bigger story here?

The Stones Of Destiny

Isaac discovered the glowing red stone set in the relief of the Phoenix where its eye had been carved to hold it. "What is this? I've never seen this item in the game before."


As he reached out to touch it, he felt an immense heat radiating from the stone. He hesitated a moment. "This could be dangerous. What if this burns me? Being this hot, could it melt my hand?" But as he reached out once more and touched the stone, he felt the stone and found it cool to the touch. At the same moment, a feeling of warmth completely enveloped him. Isaac pried the stone from the carving with his fingers, and held it up to the light.

'Stone of Destiny?' he thought. 'I've never heard of this item'. Isaac opened up the game's help guide: "Show me the Stone of Destiny: Flame's Impulse!"
