CHAPTER 1- YUVA: THE YOUTH ICON

Indian Army is the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army, and its professional head is the Chief of Army Staff, who is a four-star general.

The Indian Army is divided into 7 commands: Eastern Command, Central Command, Southern Command, South-western command, Western Command, and Training Command.

We are now in the Training Command, near Shimla. This is near Himachal Pradesh and is surrounded by the Himalayas in the South, Beas river to the north, and Ravi River to the south. Army office lies in the center.

The cafeteria is right to the office of the Army. Here and there, soldiers walk and some are having tea, coffee in the cafeteria.

A soldier runs to his room in order to meet a trainee, who is doing his exercise in the early morning, wearing a blue shirt, thick green pants, and have done an army-hair cut.

The soldier tells him, "Yuva. Good news for you. You have been selected as the Major. Going to achieve your long dreams. Congratulations!"

"Thank you, sir," said Yuva.

"One more important matter to tell you, Yuva," said the Soldier, in a light tone.

"Yeah sir," said Yuva.

"You are asked by Colonel Ram Singh to meet him as soon as possible. He needs to discuss with you, something very important" said the soldier.

Ram Singh is a strict Colonel, who expects perfection in duty. Though he is tough, he is a loving person and dotes on everyone.

Yuva completes his exercise and proceeds to meet his Colonel. Rajiv Singh.

"Sir," said Yuva and he salutes him.

"Take your seats, Yuva," said Rajiv Singh.

"No sir. I always respect my seniors and it's wrong to sit in chairs" said Yuva.

"Hey. Take your seat man" said Ram Singh.

He takes his seats and the Colonel in a silent tone, tells him, "Yuva. You got good news from the soldier. But, sadly, you have bad news too. Anyways. You have to bear the news."

"What's the news sir?" asked Yuva.

"Your mentor, I mean Prime Minister Viraat is now ill. He is admitted to the Delhi AIIMS Hospital. Home Minister Raghav Reddy (whom you see as your uncle) wants to meet you. He asked me to send you, as soon as possible" said Colonel Raj Singh.

"Sir. I have been now selected as a Major. In addition, we need several formalities to be fulfilled now for going outside at this point of time" said Yuva.

"I will handle them, Yuva. First, you go and meet your mentor. That's very very important, now. I have arranged all the formalities" said Raj Singh.

"Ok, sir. I will meet you soon. Jai Hind!" said Yuva and he takes an exit from the office.

While going in the flight, Yuva closes his eyes and as he closed his eyes, childhood life strikes him and he starts to go into the picturization of his childhood life. His face has now become pale and tears started rolling down from his eyes(Goes into Narrative mode).

My father Colonel Ram Prakash was a Tamilian from Madras. He settled in Delhi. My mother died when I was four years old. From that time, it was Viraat sir, who raised me up. I, my father, and Raghav Reddy were happy, living like a family.

At that time, my uncle Viraat and Raghav Reddy were busy in politics. They were busy in the 2005 elections and fundraising policies for the then, Indian Janatha Party. Viraat uncle was serving as the Chief Minister of Delhi.

After the elections, all was going normal until one fine day in 2005 December came into my life. It was a black day. On my birthday, I lost my father in the 2005 Delhi Bombings.

I was adopted by Viraat and raised up by him. I was brilliant in academics as well as sports. Days and years passed as such and I proceeded to join the Indian Army.

Already Viraat's uncle was suffering from heart ailments and diabetes. When I came to the Indian Army in 2019, he was aged 68 years. Now, he might be 70 years old, as per my guess.

He and Raghav Reddy have raised me up by thought in several moral values, the basics of leading an ethical kind of life, and the importance of education in man's life.

I still follow their thoughts, wherever I go.

"Sir. We are going to reach Delhi, in a few minutes" said the flight worker.

"Oh! Is it? Okay" said Yuva.

Yuva proceeds to the AIIMS hospital, which is written in bold letters. The office is on the left side and patients go here and there in the lifts. Doctors and nurses go hereby and there. Some patient's relatives are speaking busy on their phones.

He further, sees a separate Corona ward, being full with the patients, and tells in his mind that, "God is cruel at sometimes."

The security guards come to the hospital immediately, learning the arrival of Yuva. They take him to the room Viraat.

Yuva meets him.

He asks the doctor, "Doctor. What happened to him suddenly?"

"Sir. He struggled to breathe, the day before yesterday. Raghav sir admitted him. Corona is not there. But, he is very weak" said the doctor.

Suddenly, Viraat starts to struggle in breathing and the nurse calls the doctor. They bring him to control and upon checking, the doctor informs Yuva that, "He would die anytime."

At 10:00 PM, he passes away. The news reaches all over India and to the party.

Several media people are curious to know about the next Prime Minister and many common people are eager to know the next Prime Minister.

In Tamilnadu, a Media named Ren 1 Network's chief executor Ram Krishna asks the Opposition party leader Paramjyothi, "Sir. As per your guess, who would be the next Prime Minister of India?"

"Maybe Raghav Reddy would be the next Prime Minister," said Paramjyothi.

"That's not at all possible. Since he promised that his role would be to develop the party and not the Prime Minister" said an auto man, when being asked to him by the media channel.

"It's not the right time to guess who would be the next Prime Minister of India, at this point in time. So, better please avoid this question, at this point of time" said Chief Minister Rathnavel Reddy in Telangana, when he had been asked by the Media people.

While tensions go like this, creative conflicts go in the Janatha Desiya Party too. Arguments between leaders heat up for the next Prime Minister.

Upon seeing the issues, Raghav Reddy tells them, "Silence. Stop it. Nonsense. What are you all doing? Is this a cabinet meeting or fish market? All are shouting. Be quite. I will tell who will be the next to Prime Minister within the next 24 hours."

On the outside, media people ask Raghav Reddy, "Sir. Why don't you take charge as Prime Minister in charge at least, at this period of time?"

"No comments. Please move" said Raghav Reddy.

Several people in the party are not ready as well as unwilling to take charge as Prime Minister. Since already Corona Wave 2 is spreading and many are now idle about what to do in the present situation.

Vaccines are exported to world countries and fall shortage in the Indian States. Not only Corona Wave 2. But, another fact is that there are lots of unsolved issues, at present. Such as the Agricultural bill act, 2020, CAA(Citizenship Amendment act), New Education Policy 2020, etc.

Henceforth, they suggest an efficient and bold candidate for the Prime Minister posting. In his room, he sees a few photos of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, K. Kamaraj, and Manmohan Singh.

He prays to their photo telling them that, "He would also appear in their photo, setting as a good example for our citizen."

Left with no way, Raghav Reddy reluctantly meets Yuva. He goes along with Raj Singh(who comes from Shimla and stays few days in order to guard Reddy).

"Come uncle. I have just now planned to meet you. I am planning to return to the Indian Army in two days" said Yuva.

"I have canceled your flight ticket Yuva," said Raghav Reddy.

Yuva looks silently.

"Take your seats," said Raghav Reddy.

Yuva sits and now Raghav Reddy tells, "You have to stay here only. Serving our party is your duty, here afterward."

"What? Are you joking uncle? I have to go for borders within two days. That's my dream too" said Yuva.

"Why have you chose Indian Army? Anyone reasons can you say kindly, Yuva?" asked Ram Singh.

"Because I wanted to serve our country by guarding the borders. I want to inspire other youth also" said Yuva.

"The same mission only, here also. As a youth, you could be an example for other people for serving as the Prime Minister of India" said Raghav Reddy.

"I don't know about Politics. I don't know about the system, too. How can I take charge as Prime Minister? And many oppositions may arise, as I come from Indian Army" asked Yuva.

"We have to learn everything. Challenges are part of our life" said Raghav Reddy.

"You are intelligent and brilliant, uncle. Why can't you take charge as Prime Minister of India?" asked Yuva.

"He has taken the oath to serve for the welfare of the party. How will he take charge?" asked Ram Singh.

Yuva is reluctant.

"In this situation, I don't have any other options. Please Yuva!" begged Raghav Reddy.

He agrees and the next day goes to the cabinet meeting with Raghav Reddy. He announces Yuva as the next Prime Minister.

Everyone supports him and the next day, he takes the oath(surrounded by the security guards, police officers, and defense force with several ministers and opposition party leaders) as the Prime Minister telling: "I, as Yuva, take charge as the Prime Minister of India, promising to fulfill the needs of people and will do honest works only. Jai Hind!"

Opposition Party leader Gurudev Deshmukh, Tamilnadu Chief Minister Elangovan, and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy congratulates Yuva for taking charge as the Prime Minister of India.

Paramjyothi and his son Udhayakrishna ask an open reason to Raghav Reddy asking: "Have you thought this as a Monarch or democratic nation? How can you make an Army man the Prime Minister? How is it possible?"

For this, Colonel Ram Singh(Now back to the Indian Army) sends an open reply through the media stating that "Yuva was that's why unwilling to take the position as Prime Minister. We followed all the formalities and now, he is not the part of Indian Army. Everything was fulfilled as per the procedures only."

Not only the duo but several raised the same question to Raghav Reddy. They too shut their mouth after getting a strong reply from Ram Singh.

Meanwhile, Yuva goes to his Prime Minister's office. While going, he notices several people not wearing masks and disrupting the rules and regulations, passed for the public.

Keeping this in mind, he reaches the office, where he sees his co-worker wishing him and after seeing his PA Narendra Singh and security guards, he reaches his room.

There, Raghav Reddy's men meet Yuva, introducing themselves as his advisor.

"I am new to this position, sir. So, I need your guidance in every step that I take for the welfare of this country" said Yuva.

"Sure sir. We will be there with you for support" said Anish, one of the advisors.

Yuva returns home and meets Raghava Reddy's daughter Meera and is happier to see her.

"Hi, Meera. How are you? When did you come back from Australia?" asked Yuva.

"I am fine, Yuva. I came back just now" said Meera.

"Have you completed your studies?" Asked Yuva.

"Yeah...I have completed" said Meera.

"How was the first day, Yuva?" asked Raghava Reddy.

"That was a good uncle. I have planned to hold a virtual meeting with State Chief ministers tomorrow, to discuss the Covid-19 situations" said Yuva.

"Ok. Proceed" said Raghava Reddy.

"Uncle. Sharply at 5:00 AM, you should be there for the virtual meeting" said Yuva.

"Yeah. I will be there" said Raghava Reddy.

Yuva goes for a nap in his room and the next day, he forms a virtual meeting with the Chief ministers of Indian States, accompanied by Raghava Reddy.

When both of them interrogated about the present situation of Covid-19 Pandemic wave 2, Tamilnadu stated that "They have managed to bring the situation under control by passing a partial lockdown. As per that, they have closed tourism, closed temples, closed theaters tasmac bars and brought strict measures for wearing masks and taking e-pass for Interstate travel."

But, other states like Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra tell that "They are unable to control the pandemic situation. Since everything has gone out of control."

Yuva suggests Andhra, Telangana, Kerala, Delhi, and Karnataka Chief Ministers pass a total lockdown for one week. Since he sees a message from Meera telling explaining the situation of doctors in the Indian States.

Afterward, Yuva learns from a few ministers that, "Several rumors are spread against Covid-19 Pandemic virus and the opposition party is fooling the public with the help of media people."

After studying the problems of corruption in the Indian States, he plans to bring some strict rules and regulations in order to control the present situation in India.

With Meera supporting him, he prepares a PowerPoint presentation. In that, he has brought a few changes. According to that:

1.) There is freedom of speech. But, only to the limits. As per the limits, no rights to spread rumors. No rights to spread false news to the public. If done, the media office would be banned permanently.

2.) If any rumors about vaccines, then the Prosecutor will be sentenced to life imprisonment.

3.) If found corruption in the Pandemic times, then the government will take action against the offenders.

He shows this in a virtual meeting with the cabinet ministers and announces that this would be implemented in the Legislative Assembly of Rajyasabha.

However, this act brings widespread opposition from media and opposition party leaders who criticized Yuva as a Monarch ruler and is taking decisions on his own.

Several opposition party leaders try to create troubles for Yuva through various means. But, everything becomes a failure.

Meanwhile, Meera falls in love with Yuva and proposes her love saying, "Yuva. Your ideologies, patriotic attitude, and care-taking nature attracted me a lot. I love you. Love you eternal. Love you so much."

He is mesmerized by her proposal and accepts her love. They both share a hug, which gets recorded accidentally in a CCTV camera.

It goes to the West Bengal Chief Minister Rathnam Singh(by a security guard, who was once humiliated by Raghav Reddy for misbehaving with a servant), who dials Raghav Reddy and threatens to leak the photo.

He begs not to do like such, thinking about the huge embarrassment. Rathnam Singh asks him to replace the black money in Yuva's room and inform the Income Tax department.

Raghav Reddy does as told by Rathnam Singh and as a result of this, Yuva is taken to the CBI investigation. There, Raghav Reddy testifies against Yuva, concerning his daughter's future.

As everything is against Yuva, he is charged a fine of Rs.10 Crores and he pays it. He gets humiliated and mocked by several media people, opposition leaders, and people.

He resigns from his post and decides to return for the Indian Army borders, which he informs Meera and Raj Singh.

But, his PA states that "He had to stay back and not go back Indian Army borders. Since it was because of him, several changes were made in the Law system of India."

Convinced, Yuva decides to investigate the black money by himself accompanied by Meera, who believes his innocence. Henceforth, he proceeds to check the room of Viraat uncle. There, he sees a dilapidated diary and starts to read it.

It has stated about the period of Viraat as the Chief Minister and the situation, that forced him to take charge as the Prime Minister of India.

Before few years, while Viraat was serving as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Prime Minister Vijay Vajpayee have gone to Kashmir for solving the terrorism disputes.

There, while talking for peace treatment, he got assassinated by a terrorist and due to situations, several people demanded him to take charge as the Prime Minister of India.

He reluctantly took charge. But, as he took charge, he learned about several issues like Corruption, Religion mafia, Terrorism, and Kashmir Special Constitution issues.

As he started to eliminate several of these issues, several people turned against him and in the process, they even go to the extent of assassinating Raghav Reddy and himself, one day.

However, they barely escaped from the attack. Because two SPG commandos saved them from the attack. After the assassination attempt, Viraat was given tight security forces and due to the restless and fearful mind, his health got declined.

In addition, he started to experience severe health problems after some days and got hospitalized, eventually. Raghav Reddy remained upset for several days, thinking about something. He didn't even share the issue with him.

Yuva now goes and meets Raghav Reddy. He asks him, "How uncle? How could you be able to tell such a false statement against me? What made you upset for several days?"

"I know how angry you are, Yuva. What I have done is a big mistake. I was forced to testify against you. You asked me about the reasons for my upset mindset, which you learned from the diary of Viraat. For this, you have to know this, at first" said Raghav Reddy.

"What's that?" asked Yuva.

Raghava Reddy opens up an issue, that he and Viraat handled. (It goes as a narration)

I learned from a Journalist that, several people from Bangladesh entered illegally, telling as refugees into our country through West Bengal. But, only Muslims were allowed and Hindus were not allowed.

I let this matter to Viraat. He holds a meeting with Rathnam Singh, asking about the issues, to which he said that, "He doesn't even know about the issue until they told him about this."

But, we were neither satisfied nor convinced with his reply. Henceforth, we instigated the issues with the help of a RAW agent. He informed us that, "Rathnam Singh is allowing them to enter into the state. Since he wanted illicit votes from them and in further, wanted to continue the corruption."

The RAW agent further told me that, "Rathnam Singh's real name is Rathnam Mohammed Banerjee. His father was a Hindu and mother was a Sunny Muslim."

We met him with all the evidence. Viraat warned Rathnam Singh to stop the activities. Or else would meet the consequences.

As he continued to let the illegal entry of Muslims, Viraat announced the CAA amendment in India. Feeling threatened and considering his safety, he met Paramjyothi.

They instigated about my family and learned about Meera. They sent a Muslim assassin to Australia. He took several photos of her and sent me.

Then, Paramjyothi called me and said, "What Raghav Reddy? Did you see the photos of your daughter? Only photos have come now. If you didn't stop the amendment of CAA, then she would come as a dead body. Is it okay for you?"

"No. Don't do anything to my daughter. I will stop it after discussing with Viraat" said Raghav Reddy.

"I hope, you won't change your words, Reddy. If you change, then you would see our other sides of political vengeance against you" said Rathnam Singh.

I agreed and tried to talk about this to Viraat. But, luckily I got news from an Australian channel that, the Muslim Assassin got caught by the police and was encountered.

We managed to pass the act. Rathnam Singh called me and said that "I will see his other sides of the political game."

Aftermath, Viraat too died. I asked you to take the position of Prime Minister. You took charge and brought several changes. This irked Rathnam Singh and several others. He henceforth appointed a security spy in my house and took the photo of Meera, hugging you.

He threatened me with it. I did what he told and as a result, you got arrested. But, I now feel guilty for framing you. I have kept all evidence against Rathnam Singh and several other issues in a secret room as a pen drive, Yuva. I am sorry.

(Narration ends)

Meera feels bad that she has been responsible for her father's present situation and apologizes to him, with tears rolling down from her eyes and her face turning pale.

Raghav Reddy starts to vomit blood and Yuva holds him saying, "Uncle. What have you done? Come. Let's go to the hospital."

"No Yuva. I won't survive. Because I consumed Cyanide. Take care of our nation and Meera, Yuva. Except you, she doesn't have any other people" Said Raghava Reddy. After seeing his daughter, he slowly closes his eyes thus, resting in peace.

Meera cries hugging her father while Yuva consoles her. Later, he submits the Pendrive evidence against Rathnam Singh to the Supreme Court, explaining the corruption activities through various forms. It not only exposed Rathnam Singh. But, it further exposed the scams, religion mafia, and sand mining done by several other state ministers.

Rathnam Singh, Paramjyothi, his son Udhaya Krishna and several other corrupt politicians are arrested by the Police officers in the respective states of West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.

Yuva and Meera get married in their house in a traditional way.

Yuva takes charge as the Prime Minister of India again, after taking the oath. Upon returning home, Yuva sees Raj Singh and seeks his blessings.

He places a badge in the shirt of Yuva. Upon seeing the badge, Yuva smiles and touches the feet of Raj Singh.

Meera reads the badge as, "Yuva: The Youth Icon. Wow. Indeed, You are the real hero da." He smiles and proceeds to go go to his office after being informed about an issue by his PA.

"Ok, sir. I will take a leave to my office. Lots of work is pending, regarding our nation. I think, you have pending duties in the Indian Army" said Yuva.

Understanding what Yuva comes to say, he takes a leave to Shimla. While Yuva enters into his car and proceeds. Finally, he reaches his office and gets back to his seats.

Epilogue:

MISSION CONTINUES...
