Chapter 2

"No. No!!! I don't want to die. Please don't!" Suddenly the little ten-year-old girl got up in despair after a terrible nightmare

"No, no." terrified of fear the little girl put her hands on her head and held her tightly while she swayed slightly, crying and breathing with difficulty. "Ah. Ah." she was trying to catch her breath but she felt like her lungs were tightening and almost exploding

"Please do not." the tears kept falling and the despair on the girl's face was becoming more and more evident "I don't want to die"

At that moment, the room was opened and a small boy of about eleven, rushed in with a worried face. He quickly approached the girl and grabbed her by the shoulders.

"Allara!!! Allara!!!" He shouted her name trying to get her attention and make her realize that she was safe

Allara, looking ahead, saw the boy's face and screamed loudly hitting his hands and quickly retreating to the edge of the bed

"No!!!" she screamed terrified, "Get away from me. You monster!"

Even though he knew she didn't say that because she truly thought it, or at least he wanted to believe it, it still hurt to hear those words come out of her mouth.

"No Al it's me, Levi your friend I would never hurt you" he assured, approaching her slowly

"NO!!!!" she started screaming desperately closing her eyes tightly and hugging herself as she bent down even more

"My Lady!" the maids burst into the room and stepped back when they saw the scene in front of them

Little and fragile Allara, their little lady was on the floor barefoot crouching and screaming in despair as she scratched hard her little arms causing great damage to her body.

And next to her was the bastard child of the royal family who had recently appeared in the house and who everyone knew as 'the cursed child'. The closer he got to the girl the more she screammed.

Misunderstanding the situation they approached him, grabbed him by the arm and with great force threw him out of the way and he accidentally hit his head on the end of the bed.

But luckily he didn't lose consciousness or pass out but a lot of blood started to trickle down his head.

The maids tried to calm Allara who had stopped crying because she no longer had the strength to continue to resist.

"No, don't kill me." she whispered lightly in a broken voice and passed out soon afterwards exhausted mentally.

Levi looked at his friend as the maids took her back to bed and fetched wet cloths to lower her body temperature.

Even with blood running down his face, his beautiful scarlet eyes had a brighter and darker color than the blood itself.

The concern for her and in a way the guilt were consuming his heart. It was not the first time that Allara woke up altered during the night screaming, no adult cared anymore but it's not like they ever cared for her, except her two faithful maids.
