Soon, we were back on the road. Stephie galloped along the riverbed as I balanced myself on her back. Ani was perched on my head like a little bird, using my hair as her nest.
It took another full day for us to reach the 2nd village, but just like last time, I didn't stop by and went past it.
And another day passed by. We reached the forest area Jackie told me about. If the rumors were to be believed, I'll encounter bandits here soon enough.
Banditry is really common in any place where you can ambush people. Forests, ravines, cliffs, and basically anywhere people can find hiding places.
Hedal was mostly filled with thick forestry that bandit encounters were way too common that it became annoying sometimes. It doesn't change the fact that you could die from a single mistake though so that annoyance has to be pushed aside and focus on survival.
