When Gnox came into the wedding chambers he saw her glancing out the windows unaware of his presence. As the door closed she looked behind to see a fiddly Gnox at the front of the door. They were just two strangers alone in a big room. He focused his eyes on the ground unable to face her.
She began taking steps closer to her now husband. She could feel the awkward silence killing them both, she had to find a way to get rid of it. She stood in front Gnox staring softly up at him who was hovering over her with his height. Gnox was still determined to avoid her gaze.
"Do you know my name?"
"...uh" he panicked a little.
Embarrassed, she scratched her head chuckling "I mean you don't have to but—"
"Fyn, you're syfyn" he answered making her blush.
Syfyn was just teasing him, It would be strange if he didn't know the name of his wife when they already vowed to be together till death did them a part. From a memory she had of him, he used to be full of life. She was aware of an incident in the Aufri kingdom throughout the previous years, the death of his parents. He has now grown a lot but looked to be carrying the burden of a thousand men.
"You're not mad?" He asked.
She was shocked by his question. Did he think that she would be mad by having to marry him.
"What?! Of course not....are you mad?" She threw his own question back at him, still in shock.
He quickly shook his head, "n- no..." he said in a low toned voice.
"Then, I also have no reason to be mad, it's not like you forced me to marry you, it wasn't your choice either." Syfyn assured him letting out a small smile.
'He still has a kind heart' she recounted.
"Then...we should get some sleep, won't you show me around Aufri tomorrow?" She asked him gleefully.
He lets out a gentle nod, watching as she strides towards the bed making a big landing, warming herself with the blankets. He was relieved that she wasn't mad at him. He thought that he should really be a responsible husband to her.
As she closed her eyes she could hear the sound of awkward footsteps walking towards the bed. She could sense that he was sitting up on the bed and not laying down. She turned to his side, he jumped a little. She was trying hard to contain her laughter. He was as frightened as a bunny. She turned back around after wishing him goodnight.
Although wishing him a good night she knew she couldn't fall asleep. She was forcing herself to so hard but the beating of her heart kept her up. She wondered if he was already asleep.
Gnox was also in a bad situation, he could not sleep no matter how much he forced himself to. What was he to do, he tried his best not to struggle and move to keep from waking her up. Little does he know of the ordeal that Syfyn was also facing.
Gnox have never had to share a bed with a women. He was used to having to share his personal spaces with his troops when he went to war, but this was something he had never encountered. He laid stiffly on the bed forcing his eyes shut.
