Yoko was abruptly woken up by her alarm clock, it was a Sunday so it was a day that she'd spend the entire time working.
"I was having a nice dream too…"
She jumped out of her bed and changed out of her sleepwear to get into her causal clothes and went into her kitchen to grab a quick breakfast. Her mom was sleeping on the couch tired as usual with her dad already gone for work.
"Bye mom."
She left a small breakfast for her mom also before heading out the door and heading to her first job of the day. It took her a while to reach it but she always tried her hardest to not be late. She reached the building labeled "Anna's Market" which was owned by a lady who used to live in America before moving to Japan. She walked into the doors and headed to the back room where she changed into her work clothes and started to restock some of the shelves. After about 3 hours she left the store to go to her second job which opened after she would have already been working at "Anna's" for 3 hours. She reached the next building after a somewhat long walk plastered with "Sister Tamako's Restaurant" on the front. She changed into her waitress uniform and began to work for the next 7 hours.
"Can I get something from the Italian menu? I would like it to be a surprise since I've had nearly everything here."
"Coming right up sir!"
She wrote down the order and gave it to the chefs in the kitchen as she went to take more people's orders. It was always hectic since this place was extremely popular because it had food from all different countries on its menu. After the 7 hours the restaurant closed at 7PM on Sundays and Yoko went to her next job.
It was a short walk so she made it there within a short time. This time it was a convenience store and she worked as a cashier most of the time. She worked up until 11PM at night and headed home after words. During the days she had school she would alternate the jobs between days to match her schedule. All her employers knew her situation so they were always fine if she wasn't able to make it in time. This was the longest she had gone without losing a job and also the first time her employers were so understanding with her.
When she reached home she flopped into her bed and instantly went to sleep. She did this every Sunday so she was often tired on Mondays when school started again.
While sleeping she must have been having a good dream since she started smiling which was rare for her to actually smile since she hadn't let out a real one in a long time.
