Chapter 032: Sports

Higura was in gym class and that day they were starting soccer. They went outside and had their teams made with most people avoiding Higura. They began playing games with Higura acting as his team's goalie. Throughout the game he was able to block every ball but there was one he had a hard time blocking and was kicked by another student named Suzuki Okazaki. Of course Higura didn't really care about sports, he just happened to be good at most of them.

After the period was over everyone switched back into their school uniforms and went on with the rest of the day. When lunch came around him and Yui went to the back of the school to eat lunch with Kanna and Hayate. Sota wasn't able to make it because he had been skipping all of his student council work and was being forced by Nikko to catch up on it all. After they ate lunch they all went back to class and continued the day like normal. After school Higura was walking home and was stopped by someone from his class. It was Suzuki Okazaki and she stood in front of Higura blocking him from walking any further.

"What?"

"I challenge you to a game."

"Not interested."

"Eh, uh wait!"

"Once again, not interested."

"But-Hey wait!"

Higura was walking past her as she continued to yell towards him. After time it just continued to get even more annoying and harder to block out of his head.

"Ok fine! What is it?"

"I challenge you to a game!"

"Why though?! Why me?!"

"You're one of the first people to actually block a goal from me, you must be pretty good at sports."

"…Ok I'm leaving."

"Wai-Why?!"

"I may be good at sports but I don't necessarily like sports."

"Then why do you have to be good at them! I never get to play against someone who's at least on equal footing with me!"

"So you're pretty much bragging about how good you are."

Higura was trying to walk away but she was holding onto him trying to drag him in the opposite direction.

"Just one game!"

"No! Why would I want to do stuff I don't like!"

"I'll overlook the fact that your a delinquent, just let's play a game!"

"If you know I'm a delinquent then that should signal the idea to get away from me! Not get closer to me and try to get me to do stuff!"

"Just one game!"

"Oh my fucking god! Listen! If I play a single game will you leave me alone for the rest of my life?"

"Uhh…Sure."

"I don't like that hesitation. Be aware that if you ever try and get me to do something again I'll beat the shit out of you."

"Yay!"

He was brought to a park and handed a basketball. It wasn't the best court possible but it suit their needs.

"We'll be doing first to 10 wins. Everything else will be like a normal game. Is that good?"

"Yeah, let's just get this over with."

They started playing basketball and were almost on equal standing but in the end Higura won with a 10 to 7. Suzuki and Higura were completely out of breath and were sitting on a nearby bench. After he got his breath back he began to talk with her.

"So that's that. I'll be going now so be sure to never interact with me again."

"I don't know if I can do that now…"

"Huh?"

"You really were as good as I thought, no one can hold a match against me."

"Eh…Really?" 'This doesn't sound good…'

"Please let us play against each other again some time!"

"No."

"Please!"

"No!"

He was now being chased by Suzuki and he ran full speed until he was able to lose her. He caught his breath in an alley then continued on his way home while making sure Suzuki wasn't anywhere in sight. When he go into his house and sighed.

"Why does my life just keep getting even more complicated?"

He went up to his his room as he contemplated his life choices.
