Heaven-Grade pill

Alex and Lara turn towards the origin of the sound and saw the wooden box placed on the table by Dave.

When Alex saw the wooden box is pupil shrunk. He vaguely understood what may be inside the wooden box, soon his expression turned serious.

Lara Who saw that wooden box suddenly turned serious. She knows that it was time for Alex to take the ancient pill. Soon she turned towards Momo and said.

" Momo go outside the door and make sure that no one enters the room and disturbs us."

Momo had a terrifyingly angry face, but as soon as he heard Lara's voice he closed his mouth covering terrifying teeth, and his sharp eyes suddenly enlarged and he instantly turned into a regular pet dog.

When Alex saw the well-behaved version of Momo he shook his head.

Lara soon looked towards Alex and asked " kid do you know why aunt suddenly appeared here today?"

"It should be because of the ancient pill which was refined by a heaven-defying pill master," Alex told her his speculation and even exaggerated about its refiner to observe aunt's reaction.

Original Alex was very simple-minded and won't think about anything deeply, so Dave and Lara never put up their defense against Alex. So they didn't think that there will be a hidden meaning behind his words.

"Heaven defying pill master?" when Lara heard this a small smirk broke out of her lips.

Just like any woman Lara also got a little elated when she heard Alex praising the refiner. The smile that appeared on her face was caught the eye of Alex.

Soon Alex felt that all his speculation converges on a point that made Alex startled. His discovery made Alex frown and he was snapped out of it when he heard Lara's word.

"You are right, It is indeed related to the ancient pill made that was made by heaven-defying pill master," Lara said with a smile.

Alex wanted to get some more information from his aunt but his eyes can't help but fall on the wooden box. His heart started to beat faster and he felt his body getting heated. He soon muttered to himself.

[Alex let's concentrate on the thing in front of us. As for the other things let's think about that later. Now the important task is to become a cultivator. I hope that the star bug at least works on this pill.]

Dave who placed the wooden box soon got up from his place and came towards the center of the room with the wooden box.

He soon signaled Alex to come and sit in front of him.

Alex came forward sat in front of Dave. Lara came towards them and sat in sideways between Alex and Dave.

Soon Dave started muttering strange words and soon he placed his hands on the ground and shouted.

"Formation?" Alex gasped.

"Yes it's a formation, moreover this formation should be at least Level 5,"

Lara explained the formation to Alex.

After 2 minutes Dave finally opened his eyes and took his hand from the ground. He looked towards Alex and spoke.

"It was a level 6 Heaven Isolation formation which is generally used to prevent anyone from spying the movements in the room. It also isolates any movements inside from being noticed by outside people." Dave explained the uses of this formation.

"Now are you ready?" Dave asked Alex as he placed the wooden box in front of him.

"Yes, I am ready," Alex replied

"Before that, Lara you explain about the ancient pill so that he can understand the effects of the pill," Dave told Lara to explain.

Lara looked towards Alex and asked, "Alex how much do you know about Alchemy?"

"Alchemy is the study of using the herbs, plants, and other spiritual products to refine them into pills. The important thing one should have to refine pills are refining tools, proper heat control, and refining skills. Refining pill is about synthesizing the properties and essence of different ingredients into a single pill so that it can help the cultivators during cultivation. The person who refines the pills is called Alchemist or pill master. The most important requirement for a cultivator to become Alchemist or pill master is to possess a variant flame."

"Variant flames means different types of flames that can be absorbed by cultivators and used during combat or pill refining. There are different types of flames like pill fame, beast flame, and heavenly flame. Pill flames are created by strong pill masters for starters. This is the lowest quality flame that can't be used for combat. Beast fires are flames left behind by fire beasts in their beast cores after they die. This type of flame will possess beasts will making them hard to obtain. Lastly, heavenly flames are born between heaven and earth and they possess strong special abilities enough to make even Heaven profound realm to burn at sight." Alex explained

"Do you know about the different grades of pill master?" Lara asked.

Alex shook his head indicating that he doesn't know about the division of pill masters.

So Lara started to speak "There are a total of 1-9 grades in pill refining. Pills of Grade 1-3 are called mortal grade pills and the person who refines them are mortal grade Alchemists. This rank is further divided into Early, Late, Peak stage."

"Pills of grade 4-6 are called king grade pills and the person who refines them are called King grade Alchemist. Pills of grade 7-9 are called emperor grade pills and the person who refines them are called as Emperor grade Alchemist. The rank is further divided into Early, Late, Peak stage." Lara gave a detailed explanation about alchemy grades and alchemist grades.

Alex suddenly became curious to find the grade of the ancient pill that his father bought. So he inquired Lara "Aunt, then what grade is the ancient pill that is refined by father's friend?"

"When I am talking don't interfere, I will explain you everything so just keep your mouth shut," Lara shouted and glared at Alex. Alex who saw the dangerous rays on Lara's eyes soon closed his mouth and let her continue.

"The name of the pill Heaven amending pill. This pill was generally used for people with poor talent. This helps them to create an essence core and also helps them to step into the Essence gathering realm." When Lara's words were suddenly interrupted by Alex's voice.

"Why does the function of this pill feel similar to a forbidden pill," Alex asked.

Lara looked at Alex with anger, but still, she replied to Alex.

"Their functions may be same but the forbidden pill is a low-quality pill which creates essence core using lower quality of essence and the heaven amending pill is a high-quality pill which helps in creating the essence core with highest grade essence. The forbidden pill has side effects while heaven amending pill doesn't have any side effects." Lara explained attentively

"Are there any danger in taking the heaven amending pill?" Alex suddenly asked. Alex felt there is something wrong, seeing Lara meticulously explain all the key details, Alex felt that there should be some kind of problem with the pill.

Instead of Lara, it was Dave who spoke this time. "17 years ago when we were desperate after knowing that you have broken soul deficiency. At that time we heard about the ancient pill and bought it in exchange for accepting their request.."

"Since then for 17 years it was just me and Lara who searched the entire continent in search of the ingredients. During the search of a key ingredient, we accidentally obtained a Heaven rank treasure."

When Alex heard the word Heaven rank he was startled. Many ingredients are graded from 1-9 but there was a separate grade which was heaven grade. Just like how heaven flames which are born between heaven and earth, the treasure that is born between heaven and earth ante are considered as heaven rank. Each heaven objects are unique of their kind since there won't be a second heaven object with similar abilities.

Soon Alex thought of the crucial point, his eyes were widened, his lips were trembling, his were shaking. He pointed his shaking hand towards the wooden box and asked.

"Don't.....Don't tell me that you guys refined the Heaven rank ingredient into pill??!!" Alex stuttering unbelievably.

Lara with a pale expression nodded her head. "The pill was refined using the heaven grade ingredient as the core ingredient."

Alex still can't recover from the shock "can that heaven grade ingredient used to refine heaven amending pill?"

"Yes, since the heaven grade medical ingredient was the ancestor of the ancient ingredient we searched. The core ancient ingredient was Three petal essence gathering Lotus but the heaven-grade ingredient we got was Nine Petal Heaven Devouring Lotus."

"So the pill we refined already broke the limits of this continent. So we gave it a new name." Dave Devan who was silent suddenly spoke as he opened the wooden box.

As soon as the wooden box was opened the essence from the surroundings got devoured by the pill. It was a purple pill with golden marks on them. Even seeing the pill requires some courage.
