 Gently caressing her cheeks, Ivan sighed, "You have no idea what you're stepping into." 

With her black eyes drilling into his, she inched closer. "There is something that keeps drawing me towards you and no matter how hard I try, I cannot take you out of my mind." 

"I am fire Amber, I am dangerous," he warned. 

"You make me curious Ivan, everything about you makes me curious." Running her finger gently through his face, she added, "You are the kind of danger I am willing to face."

The Immortal Fates

"Firstly we would like to confess that we did snuck out without permission today." 


Rylon nodded his head and added, "Yes but we did it only to tell you an important thing which everyone wanted to hide from you." 


"It's about Darius, he is—he got injured," Dylon answered. 


"We don't know, we just saw Jason and other guys bring him in. When we tried to ask, Rachael told us it's nothing." 


"And she also asked us not to tell you about it," Rylon added. 


When Ivan pursed his lips but did not say anything, Dylon further explained, "They have taken him to the enchanted forest for treatment. In case you are thinking of seeing him, they will bring him back by tomorrow." 


Keeping quiet for quite some time, Ivan instructed them. "Go sit in the living room." 


After the twins left, he quickly took out his phone and tried to call Rachael when the call did  not go through, he called Jason. 


Cutting his greetings off, Ivan straightaway asked, "How is he?" 


"They are there, right?" Jason sighed. "Can you please tell them that I am going to kill them as soon as I see them?" 


When Ivan did not say anything, he added, "Darius is fine, he is recovering well and will be home by tomorrow. It's not as serious as those two brats made it sound, okay?"


"Now can you please keep those two at your place until I come and fetch them? Don't allow them to roam around and—" 


Cutting him off, Ivan stated, "You don't have to come, I'll bring them with me tomorrow." 


"I know the way Jason but I think you people have forgotten I am a part of the family too and Darius is also my brother." Without waiting for his reply, Ivan hung up the call. 


Looking at the twins, Ivan instructed, "I will take you home with me tomorrow." 


"Does that mean we get to stay here today?" When he nodded his head, both of them rejoiced. 


Sitting beside them, Ivan remarked, "You both need to keep something in mind—" Pausing for a while, he added, "You both are not kids anymore, you will turn twenty-three soon. People get married and have kids by this age—in short, you both are full grown adults now. Am I right?" 


When they nodded their heads, he added, "Since you both are past the immature and carefree stage, it's time you learn how to be responsible." 


"Even if we try, no one lets us do anything." 


"Yes, they say we are too young and just shrug us off," Rylon backed his brother's statement. 


"And why do you think it's like that?" When they gave him a bewildered expression, Ivan explained, "It's because you two haven't done anything to prove yourselves. You need to make everyone believe that you both can handle odd situations maturely without messing it up." 


Without waiting for their reply, he added, "You know when I first decided to leave home and come here, many thought I would never make it but I proved everyone wrong. Now I am not asking you to leave home just like I did. My situation was different but there are other ways you both can prove yourselves and the first way would be learning how to control your powers."
