When the Helping Hurts

There must have been miles of tunnels crisscrossing throughout the royal palace, miles of dark, cramped corridors. Professor Treffle, Laura, and Richard had been walking for several hours, checking each room that they happened to come across. They had no real idea where they were inside the palace, no signs marked the inside of the passageways, leaving their journey totally up to chance. They did leave behind magical markers as they went though, only so that they wouldn't accidentally search the same rooms they had before.

Not one of the rooms they had discovered thus far were good candidates for where the First Prince might have stayed. They were all much too small, or too sparsely furnished to be used by royalty. The three searching might not have been royalty themselves, but they were all nobility, so they had somewhat of an idea of what to look for.
