Watching layers of porous rock peeled back to reveal the glowing green Core of the Divine Tree, Ange was distracted.
"Where are you looking? What are you staring at?" Negris knew Ange's attention had wandered as soon as he saw him standing still. Annoyed, Negris flew over and rapidly waved his claws in front of Ange.
Blocking his view, Ange pushed him aside and pointed to the flaked rock layers, "Bedrock."
In fact, Ange had speculated about this when observing the glowing ferns, although it hadn't been as obvious as it was now with the peeled layers.
Negris felt like coughing blood; he grabbed Ange's head and turned it toward the God Tree Core, "I told you to look at the tree core! Such a huge one right there, and you're looking at the bedrock? Don't you have enough places to plant already?"
