Lightning stood atop the tree canopy, shouting toward the far reaches of the void, "Lord, come back quickly, the tide has receded, hurry back!!"
After several shouts, Lightning muttered, "Does yelling like this really work? Can the Lord even hear me?"
Abyssal Big Mouth replied, "He probably can, since we're idle anyway, I'll help you carry your voice farther."
"Lord Abyss, I never expected you to be such an abyss? What's with this idleness, I'm very busy, you know, stop licking." By the end of the sentence, it shook its head vigorously, flinging a small cat from the fur on its head.
The small cat found it quite amusing, turning in mid-air and pouncing toward Lightning again.
A spark of electricity flashed atop Lightning's horn, but clenched its teeth, and the spark dimmed down, allowing the cat to pounce on its face and lick it furiously.
