Chapter 30: Meeting with Odin & Hela

After telling Thor the story of Ragnarok, he has a determined look in his eyes and says, "Thank you my friend. I know what has to be done now." Shaking his hand, I then say, "If you need my help, call my name." He gives me a nod and opens the Bifrost back to Asgard for his mission to find Surtur and take his crown. Turning to Kate, I see that she has that same smirk as when we came back. "I know what you want Kate, but not tonight. Come here." Bringing her into a hug I whisper, "It will be a special day when that happens, so don't hate me for now alright?" Lifting her chin to look me in the eyes, she can see the love that I have for her. With a smile she says, "You always care so much for those close to you. It's one of the reasons that I fell in love with you in both of your lifetimes. Even if I couldn't see your emotions, your good deeds made it clear. And no, I won't have you, hehe, I don't think I ever could." Sharing another kiss, I pick her up in a princess carry and take her to bed. Just to cuddle of course.

Waking up to Kate draped over my chest, I can only smile and kiss her forehead. Sliding out from under her, I leave a note to call me when she's up and ready. Taking out Yamato, I make a rift to Odin's location. Stepping through, I see him staring out over the water in Norway. He says, "Beautiful isn't it?" Walking up to his side I say, "Yes, very beautiful indeed." We both take a few minutes admiring the scenery. Odin then says, "It's almost time for her return I believe." Giving him a nod I confirm, "Yes, when you pass on she will return to take over Asgard. Although I'll try my best to not let that happen. Your mistakes of the past have caused Ragnarok to happen. Ironic isn't it? Sealing away a weapon to form peace, only for that weapon to be free and wreak havoc. Hehehe, I have a plan to make her more docile, or to put it in better words, to make her be a woman instead of just a weapon. Trust me my friend, as you have in the past."

He starts nodding and says, "I trust you. Thor was always my favorite, as you've seen. Loki has always been a trouble maker though, hehe." Cutting him off I say, "Loki only really cared about Lady Frigga. I plan to bring her back to keep him in check although that will be her decision entirely. I cannot bring someone back unless they approve of it, it's not in my nature to force someone to do something, I only advise them of their choices." He looks sad that he won't be with her in the afterlife and says, "If she does want to come back, please tell her that I'll be waiting for her return. If she doesn't want to come back, we'll be watching our children." Chuckling I say, "I'll try to gain Loki's trust although that's not an easy task. Know this, should Loki cross me or anyone I care about, I will bring him to the brink of death and heal him, then repeat until he repents for his evil deeds. I show no mercy to those that hurt me or my family, remember that." He places a hand on my shoulder and says, "I wouldn't blame you for that. You have a pure heart and you care for your loved ones like no other. You would make a great king, hehe." Taking his forearm into mine I say, "I'll be watching from a little ways away so try not to worry about Thor and Loki." Giving me a smile and a nod, I make my way back home.

Kate is still asleep so I slide back into bed and burn the note that I left. Feeling my body there again, she clings to me like a koala. After a while, I see Thor is talking to Sutur and after some banter, Thor gets his crown and Skurge finally lets him back only for the head of the beast to arrive with him. Hilarious really, poor Skurge got cockblocked, hehe. Shaking Kate awake, she looks adorable with her half closed eyes and messy hair. "Morning love, want to see something funny?" Slowly nodding, she stretches and yawns, but the best part is her naked figure, Truly flawless so I say, "Careful love, better put some clothes on or I'll eat you up." Giving her a savage grin, she looks shocked but soon has a sultry smile and slides up my chest and gives me a kiss. Kate then says, "Maybe I should go commando more often than? Hehe." Shaking me head at her antics, she gets the hint and goes to take a shower and put some clothes on. About thirty minutes later she comes out in some tight jeans and a white t-shirt. "Ready to go?" Giving me a nod, she hugs me and I take out Yamato and make a rift in the air above Argard.

Kate is in awe, although she's seen this place in the movies back home, she hasn't seen it in real life yet. Her only word is , "Amazing." Chuckling I say, "I've made us invisible, lets go see the show, shall we?" Holding out my hand like a gentleman, she takes it and says, "Lead the way my lord." Chuckling at each other, we make our way just above Loki and Thor as Thor throws his hammer and holds Loki tight as he recalls it back. Loki is in his Odin illusion right now. As the hammer gets close to Loki, he undoes his illusion and says, "All right I yield!" I undo the invisibility and start laughing, "HAHAHAHA! Good one Thor, although you should have held him in place just a little longer." Skurge shows up to introduce Thor and Loki shuts him up saying he had one job. Amazing how they ignored us showing up out of no where. Thor asks where Odin is and places his hammer on Loki so he talks. Loki tells him that he knows where Odin is so they take the Bifrost to Midgard.

Following them back, we see a building being torn down where Loki swears he left Odin. Thor takes his picture with some fans and Loki gets sucked into a portal from Strange as well as leaving a note with an address that Thor takes. Going inside, Thor and Strange have their conversation about them leaving earth once the find Odin and how Odin chose to stay in exile. After some research and a strand of Thor's hair, Strange make the portal to Odin but Thor asks for Loki back as well as wrecking the place getting his 'umbrella' back. Making myself and Kate visible again, I say, "I'll keep watch over Loki, no need to worry." Strange nods and lets Loki out of his endless falling and face plants on the floor which make us all laugh except him. Loki pulls out his daggers and walks towards Strange but Strange sends the portal over us making Loki fall on his face yet again. Seeing Odin looking out over the water I tell Loki and Thor, "Go and have your moment, he doesn't have much time left." They go wide eyed but still walk over to have their conversation.

Kate then asks, "Why not prolong his life?" Shaking my head I say, "He's already had a long life. Some great times for sure but too many regrets as well. His life is the only thing keeping his daughter sealed away. I made a promise to help when that happens. So, you can either go and hang out with Nat and Rose, or stay here. Either way, I'll try to make Hela see reason since Odin is gone." Kat see's what I mean and says, "I'll check on Nat and Rose. You'll need some time to help Hela and me being there probably won't help." Giving her a kiss, I smile and say, "Thanks love. If Beatrice shows up, help her control her power a bit and maybe take her on a vacation somewhere." Giving a nod, Kate goes to my inner world and I watch as Odin tells Loki and Thor about Hela. As Odin starts to fade away, he looks to me and nods, and I nod back.

A green portal opens up and out of it walks Hela. One word escapes me, "Beautiful." Hela looks to me and says, "Not bad, and who might you be?" Walking up to her and kissing the back of her hand I introduce myself, "My name is Lucifer Morningstar, Archangel and God. It's a pleasure to meet you Hela, Goddess of death. Actually, more like avatar of death, but all the same really." She frowns at that and asks, "What do you mean 'Avatar'?" Chuckling I say, "Your power comes from Lady Death, and you are her avatar. There is only one Goddess of death." Realization hits her and she says, "Can we talk about this later? I'd like to see my brother's." Giving her a nod, she turns to Thor and Loki and the same scene happens from the movie. Hela catches Thor's hammer and shatters it which for some reason makes me smile. Loki calls for the Bifrost to open and Hela chases after them and kicks both of them out of it. As Hela walks out of the Bifrost, I teleport in front of her.

Before any one dies I say, "Everyone relax. Hela, let's have that talk now." She doesn't move and says, "No, I'm taking over Asgard first." Turing around to her, I let out a fraction of my aura which shakes all of Asgard and I say in a cold tone, "Talk, now. Follow me." She's trembling and meekly nods and follows. Arriving at the place where all of the soldiers are ready to fight Hela I tell them, "Relax and return to your posts. I make a promise to Odin and I intend to keep it. Should any of you make a move against us, you will be in agony." Making the place tremble again, they scatter back to their posts. *snap* making two chairs and a table I say, "Sit, please." She nods and we sit down.

"So, you want to take over Asgard huh?" She nods and says, "Yes, it's my birthright since Odin is dead." Nodding I say, "You are not ready to rule." She frowns and starts to make a weapon. *snap* is disappears and I say, "Calm yourself or I'll make you calm." Nodding again, she crosses her arms with a frown. "Well, off to a good start. No one has died, yet, and you're becoming more docile. Firstly, someone who only knows war isn't a leader. You have to have compassion for your people as well, which you don't have." Giving her a minute to confirm what I've said she nods and I continue. "Second, no one besides Odin and Lady Frigga know of you. Even Thor and Loki were shocked to find out you existed." Standing up and gesturing her to follow, we head to the throne room.

Standing beneath the depictions of Argard as it is now, I break the ceiling tiles to reveal the true history. Hela gives her speech about how Argard became the empire that it is. Turning to her I say, "Even though almost no one knows of this, you could use it as a better claim to the throne. The people have come to love Thor and some love Loki. Even if your past deeds are brought to light, not everyone will see it as a good thing. Constant war will only strain leadership. There has to be peace for a while to counteract the wars. No empire is built on only peace, all empires start with war. You've done your part, why not let someone else deal with this now?" She looks to be in constant contemplation and says, "I'd like to try at least." Giving her a nod, I walk up close to her and whisper, "If you rule as a tyrant, I'll end you. You still have to meet someone as well so try not to die." She does pale but nods nonetheless. Stepping back I say, "Would you like your old friend back as a gift from me to you? I won't need the eternal flame either." She asks, "Can you really do that?" Nodding, I hold out my hand for her to take. Simple things that can bring her back form being a weapon. Taking my hand, which surprises me, we walk down to the armory where Fenris is located.

Walking past the artifacts and weapons, I tell Hela, "Take the flame for your army. I want you to fight Thor, only then will he gain his true power and be an asset to helping the nine realms." Looking shocked and confused she asks, "Why?" Chuckling I say, "Some events need to happen. With me interfering with you in your conquest over Asgard, not many people will suffer and die. This make it harder to plan things out. So, normally you would fight Thor and he'd gain access over his lightning. Now, that's not a one hundred percent guarantee as you won't be conquering Argard." Nodding along, she grabs a bit of the flame and I punch the floor and it caves in. Holing out my hand again, she takes it and we float down to see the dead soldiers and a big dog. Walking over to Fenris, I place my hand on his head and call back his spirit. Feeling that he accepts, I push his spirit into his body and heal his decayed body as well. "Welcome back to the living Fenris." He licks my face and rushes to Hela and she pets his head. Next, she slams the flame on the floor and makes the soldiers rise. Turning to her I say, Make the people fear you just a bit but don't kill anyone. I'll be watching." Flashing her a grin, she pales a bit and nods as I go invisible to see her reaction next. She turns to Fenris and says, "I'm not sure if I can trust than man or not, but I'm sure he will kill me if I step out of line. I haven't been this full of fear in a very long time. Yet, there is something I feel when I held his hand, I believe it's comfort and warmth. Like I'm not the only one that felt so lonely. Just who are you, Lucifer Morningstar?"
