Chapter 32: Dueling Thanos & Upholding my end of a deal

'It's rude to wake someone up with a ship buzzing overhead...' Up in the sky is Thanos with his lackeys disembarking their ship. Thanos and his goons land and walk out and he says, "Hand over the stones boy." A smile forms on my face just thinking of all the ways to break him. "How about our duel? Have you no sense of honor?" He forms a little grin and says, "Fine. Just you and me and when I win, I'll rip the stones form your body myself." I form a savage grin and his face drops as my next words make him know fear. "Know your place ant. Your plan to snap away half of the universe is over. In my right hand, I hold your death. In my left, your revival. How long will you take to break after dying so many times over, and over, and over again?" My left hand is glowing green with white and gold wisps flowing up from it ,while my right is pure black with red wisps. My plan is simple, as I loved a certain anime where the MC would kill and revive someone to break him, it's a wonderful idea, hehehe. (It's Misfit at Demon King Academy, hehe.)

"Well, since this world is being broadcast this whole fight, I'll let the rest of the universe see as well so every person's life you've ruined will have some hope still." *SNAP* All over the universe, monitors appear above the sentient races to witness this tyrant's downfall. "Let's begin shall we?" *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* Thanos reforms with wide eyes and he's about to say something but that won't happen. *SNAP*

*SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* *SNAP* *splatter* After a few hundred times, he's lost any hope of ever winning this fight and his only thought is regret for ever agreeing to duel me, hehe. "Well, there's no more fight in you so goodbye Mr. Tyrant." I walk up to him and place my finger on his forehead to which he doesn't even flinch, he's completely broken. "Hakai!" Purple energy swallows him and nothing is left of his corpse, not even ashes.

"Now, as for all of you, I'll give you five seconds to run. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..." *SNAP* Everyone that was in his operation is gone, all around the universe minus Gamora and Nebula of course, actually that reminds me of something....hmm. Looking to the sky, I amplify my voice throughout the universe and say, "That's one tyrant down, his goal was to wipe out half of the universe, you're welcome. Live freely and should anyone else have a big goal for conquest or something similar to Thanos, well..." Making my eyes glow I unfurl my wings as well as my halo and I continue, "No matter where you go, no matter how well you hide, no one escapes my eyes. That's warning number one, but that's also the only warning I give people so make your choice to walk a different path. Also, Nebula, if you can hear me, pray to me and I'll come get you. I have a gift for you. Ciao." Making the monitors disappear, I walk back inside only to hear Nebula asking me what I want in my head so I make a rift next to her and she walks through.

"Hello Nebula, it's good to see you. Here for your gift?" Giving me a single nod, she asks, "Why not kill me as well? I'm not a good person." Chuckling I respond, "Because you have goodness in your heart, you just have to find it." She's taking a minute to think and I say, "Would you like your gift?" After another single nod, I say, "I'll give you a normal body again, as that one is a constant reminder of Thanos. Do you accept?" Again taking a minute to think she says, "I'd like that, thank you. Will it hurt?" Shaking my head I reply, "Normally yes, but for you I'll numb the pain. I'll create what would have been your body if you weren't so....mechanical. This way you can have at least a normal life." She actually smiles and I begin making her body. "The next part usually hurts, as I'll need to extract your soul and it's memories and place them inside the new body. Ready?" Another nod, odd woman. Placing my hand on her head, I take out her very soul while numbing the pain and place her inside the new body. After a minute or so, her pulse starts up and she opens her eyes. Of course I have her a jumpsuit as it would be embarrassing otherwise.

As she inspects herself, another smile forms and she hugs me. 'Must be the lack of her cyborg self, hehe.' She whispers, "Thank you." Patting her back I say, "Do me a favor alright? Try to make up with Gamora, she truly sees you as a sister." Giving me a nod, I make a rift and say, "This will take you to Gamora, good luck Nebula." After another quick hug, she steps through and I see her hug Gamora. 'I'm happy for them, Nebula needed that more than she would admit. I think having Thanos dead lessened her emotional restraints and broke down some walls for freedom.'

After telling Tony that the earth is safe, I made a rift to my inner world to relax, but that doesn't always happen. Receiving a message from Lady Death, I make my way to her domain. "What do you need?" Sitting on her throne, Lady Death perks up and excitedly says, "As per our deal, one of your old family members has died of natural causes and I have her here." Raising an eyebrow I question, "Her?" Lady Death nods and reveals the one woman I truly disliked in my old life, my mother. *sigh* "Hello mother." Looking confused and horrified, my mother asks, "Who are you? And why did you call me mother?" Chuckling at first and then giving a cold glare that makes her tremble I say, "Because you were my mother in my old life. Lets refresh shall we? Age ten, all of your personal belongings are thrown outside by dad and he's screaming, "TELL THEM WHAT YOU DID!", ring a bell?" She looks truly horrified but I continue, "I can picture that day any time I close my eyes. You single handedly destroyed our family by cheating on dad, and you had the gall to talk about it to your friends while I was staying with you for a few years. Truly despicable. As I told you that one night, I do love you and I always will, but I will never, and I mean NEVER forgive you."

My aura is almost completely out of control and Lady Death tries to come close to calm be but a glare stops her. "Do you have any idea how depressed I was after that? Barely any friends, sleeping in school to waste away my life, not to mention my emotions were basically non-existent because of my soul. The only two things that made me happy were my family and my relationship with Kate. Tell me mother, did you die with regrets?" She's crying a river right now and nods as I say, "Let me make a list for you and stop me when one isn't on it. One, you never visited your grandkids but still complained that no one came to visit you, while dad visited a few times a week, MINIMUM!. Two, making the choice to go to that one party without dad where you met 'the other guy' and shit spiraled from there. Three, asking yourself, "Why don't my kids talk to me anymore?" and expecting us to just come say hi, shit doesn't work like you want it to. Did I miss anything else of importance?" Shaking her head as I nailed it, I give her a few minutes to stop crying.

Walking up to her, she's trembling but not out of fear, but sadness and regret, so I hug her and say, "None of that matters now, you'll have all the time in the world to try and ask for forgiveness, even though I don't think you'll get mine but who knows. Lady Death, for the time being, I'd like to make a place for my loved ones to stay here and relax until they decide to reincarnate or proceed into the afterlife." Giving me a nod, I make a house just like my old one, I simple two story house with a two bay garage, not that it will be needed, and a large area divided into four fields for activities. Turning to my mother I say, "I could send you to my own hell for your fucked up deeds in life, but, you're still my mother so hang out here until more of our family arrive and try to make up." Slowly nodding, she walks off to the house and I turn my gaze back to Lady Death. Walking up to her, I cup her chin and say, "I'm a man of my word, do you have some free time?" Beaming a smile at me, she hugs me and says, "Yes of course I do, I have so much time, hehe." Shaking my head, I make a rift and take her hand and pull her through.

Arriving at my inner world, I see Lucifer, Chloe, and Beatrice here with the other four bums and a doggo now. "Glad to see that everyone is enjoying themselves." They all turn to me but I see Hela go wide eyed as her gaze turn to Lady Death. Chuckling I say, "Yes, this is Lady Death. And I did promise to save Hela so you two could talk so why not do that now while I catch up with my brother alright?" Hela and Lady Death nod and walk off towards Fenris and I turn to the others and say, "Good to see you again brother, how's life been going since I last left?" Both he and Chloe give a quick hug and he says, "It's been really well actually, Amenadiel has come around and we're like best friends. I truly cannot thank you enough for what you did for us brother." Shaking my head I say, "Think nothing of it, you weren't in a good place so I made it better while gaining some new family, hehe. Speaking of which, where's my little angel?" Beatrice has a wide smile and slams into me and says, "Hello again big brother. I missed you." Chuckling I say, "For me it's only been a few days maybe. But I missed you too."

After some chatting with everyone else, Hela and Lady Death come back with smiles. "All caught up now?" They both nod and Lady Death says, "I finally gave her true power over death as I needed to be in physical contact with her." Nodding I turn to Hela and say, "Congratulation, that's quite the power upgrade." She smiles and says, "Not that I'll need it any time soon. I like this feeling of being free and on a vacation, hehe." We all laugh at that and time flies by with stories, questions, and random ideas thrown out there. After a while, Lucifer, Chloe, and Beatrice leave and I turn to Lady Death and say, "Ready to continue from earlier?" She nods and takes my hand surprisingly which makes everyone else have a grin besides Hela who looks, jealous? I'll have to talk with her soon I guess.

Arriving at my house in Marvel with Lady Death, I gesture to the living room and say, "Make yourself comfortable, I'll make dinner." Giving me a nod and a kiss on the cheek, she skips into the living room as I shake my head and make dinner. I start making one of my favorites, mildly spicy tacos. After everything is ready, I set the food on the table and call her over. As we sit down I start to wonder how I got these amazing people in my life and I unconsciously smile which Lady Death sees and blushes, I'm still godly handsome alright? Chuckling at her blushing I say, "So, how was your talk with Hela?"
