Upon arrival to the clinic set up in the community of Haven, Derek and Alex noticed that since their last visit, there were now several bodies missing from their beds. The two youths could make an educated guess about what had happened to the missing patients.


They elected not to mention it, as it would be unwise to open fresh wounds. As such, they asked the doctor they had met previously about the condition of the girl known as Holly.


The lady had a satisfied smirk on her face as she told Alex and Derek what she knew.


"The girl is stable, which is more than I can say for most of the patients who have been brought here recently. She's lucky you guys brought her back when you did. If she hadn't been treated soon, she would have lost too much blood for us to take care of; we have limited supplies after all."
