Several months had passed since Alex and his party escaped the strip with their lives intact. The deadline the Orcs had given the monsters under their command to conquer the remaining human settlements within the Mojave was rapidly approaching. Under Odezeimer's rule, the Airport was transformed into a fortress much like Bastion. Through much sacrifice, it had held on against constant sieges until the current date. Defending its borders was a daily occurrence for its citizens, and those dwelling within the settlement were under significant pressure from the new regime to hold the line at all costs.
