Testing One's Limits

After conversing with Medhyasa for a while Alex returned to the Ludus which was under new management. Learning from his predecessor's mistakes, the new master of the Ludus treated Alex exceptionally well, so much so that it was downright creepy. However, Alex chose not to complain instead he got about his daily work, training the new recruits so that they might have a chance to hold their own in the Arena. 

After the day was done Alex returned to his quarter's to sleep. However, this time Claire was no longer staying in his room, though he did not know what happened to the girl, he could tell by the scent in the room that she left behind that the pink-haired beauty was not what she appeared to be. As such he did not mind her absence.
