23- Killer!!

After two days;

Her wounds start to heal a little bit but as the doctor said before her healing process is slow. They are not healing as the wounds heal of cultivators nor do they heal like normal people. They are healing very slowly. But as she can't stay in one place for a long time so, she left her bed and starts going for walk.

It is always the same, they two come to her early and leave late until she is sleepy while getting information about the monster from villagers.

The villagers were very grateful to them for fighting with the monster and capturing him so, they take care of them well.

After one week;

Masha asked Zhiyuan and Wuji to go and locate the monster's location. They two agreed because they know she is getting bored; if they refused, it is possible that she went out alone to find the place.

The three packed some food and left the village to find the location and to confirm their doubts.

They walked for almost six hours and finally reached a barren land. There was nothing no food, no water, and no living thing. There weren't even the trees.

The three looked at each other and nodded in yes.

Masha said; this is the place where the monster lived.

Wuji replied; yes, there is a very bad smell. We are in right place.

Zhiyuan replied; let's go take a look at this and hurriedly left this place. We can't bear this smell for long said while covering his mouth.

The three looked around and found a cave. After finding the cave, the three went inside.

There was a horrible scene in the cave. All the walls were covered in blood. There were human bones all-around at the ground while some human flesh was rotting in the corner. There was nobody alive. There was nothing for them to investigate and all their doubts proved.

He wasn't mass eating monster but due to his energy disorder, he started to kidnap humans to heal himself and ended up being addicted to it.

After a whole day, they went back to the village to take their luggage.

After reaching the village; they three went to Masha's room as usual. And then after entering there is a knock at the door.

Mister and Miss; this is me. (he is the person who was serving them during their stay)

Then he enters the room, here this is your dinner. He sat at the side and started pouring the tea.

Zhiyuan asked him to pack their belongings, they are going back tomorrow.

He asked; tomorrow, isn't it early. You should stay for some more days.

Wuji replied; we have to go back to our school.

He looked at Masha; you are injured, you should stay.

A big smile spread at her face after hearing this but when she looked at Zhiyuan and Wuji's faces who are constantly staring at her, her smile vanished and she replied; I want to stay here but they two will never let me be here so, don't look at me.

Then with a sad face, he left the room.

Masha again asks them; can't we stay? Can't I stay?

Zhiyuan and Wuji replied at the same time with the same word; NO

After eating dinner, the two went to their rooms and asked her to rest early they have to leave early.

Her wounds are not healed yet so, they have to move slowly on their way.

Next Moring;

They got ready to depart and bid goodbye to the villagers. Villagers were very grateful to them for solving their problem and asked them to come again.

They started their journey. The way which was just of two hours before now become six hours' way. They stopped again and again so, Masha can take a rest as her wounds were still not healed, and as the doctor said before she need a long time to heal them. And she shouldn't do any exhausting thing so, they walked slowly.

After the six-hour journey, they finally reached the school entrance.

Wuji and Zhiyuan looked happy after reaching their school but Masha didn't look happy. Masha's face looks like a prisoner who came back to prison.

Masha stopped at the entrance just like before and wasn't willing to enter.

After seeing her like this Zhiyuan held her one arm and pulled her inside but still wasn't willing.

At this Wuji held her other arm and they two pushed her inside.

They came late, the classes were already over.

Masha didn't like master so; she went straight to her room.

While Zhiyuan and Wuji went to master to report their arrival and all the situation.

They two went to the master's room to greet him.

Upon reaching, the two knocked on the door, the master asked them to come inside. They two went inside and greet the master and asked about his well-being.

Master replied without looking at them I am fine!

Then Wuji started reporting about the monster incident and told him the whole story.

Master looked back at them and asked; so, you are thinking that something unusual is happening? Something that is absorbing or disordering someone's inner energy and making them wounded and mad?

Zhiyuan replied; yeah, although we weren't able to find out, from where did that monster come, but there was some problem with his elemental power!

Wuji nodded in yes.

Master didn't ask about Masha's power or her injuries and let them go.

You two should go back; I will investigate these unusual happenings?

This time not only Wuji but Zhiyuan also noticed that the master never asked about Masha. Nor did he ask about her injuries and not about her merit in capturing the monster.

They two went out with the confusion in mind and went to their rooms for rest.

The next day, when they were eating in the hall sitting in their previous positions leaving Ze Deshi's chair empty, they heard some gossips.

Some students were talking; yeah, they are going to hang him today.

Masha asked curiously to Weiyan; hey, what are they talking about?

The two fight severely, the master won and he captured him alive. Today, they are going to punish him in the punishment hall.

Masha laughed and asked; why would I be sad?

Zhiyuan replied; aren't you from the Ghost Core sect? He also belongs to this sect.

And if he is a killer then he should be punished for his crimes, it's nothing wrong.

After eating they four went to punishment hall.

It is a broad area with no flowers like there are in other areas. There are just three seats for elders and nothing for others. There is a stage in the center of the punishment hall with a pole located in between with which that killer is bounded with iron chains. These iron chains are not only on his hands but also on his foot and neck. He is covered in blood and chains, looking miserable.

The four were standing aside.

Master went on stage and whipped the killer and said; you are a merciless killer. Don't you have a heart? How can you kill anyone? You are from the Ghost Core sect; you should be punished even without any reasoning because you are born evil!! And whipped him again and again not giving him any chance to explain.

During the whipping, that person covered in blood, looks like his blood is going to dry and the master asked elders to punish him immediately and without any delay or reasoning, they killed him in public.

At this Masha got terrified a little that they didn't even give him a chance to say something. Is justice is like this? Even if he was an evil person, they also killed him without mercy.

After fifteen minutes; students started gossiping again, his body is still here not drying out.

He was truly evil, even hell is not accepting him.

We should also kill people like them to bring justice.

Masha asked; what about purely good no regret.

But what about him? He didn't turn into mist? Masha asked
