Let's Fucking Go! Time for some standard Isekai bullshit. I've got 3 wishes, as Steampunk suggested I'll go with the formula of mind, body, soul. So let's think, of the many hypothetical combinations of wishes I could choose that match that set up which is the most OP.
Wait, Fuck.
Just the fact, Steampunk limited our growth multiplier to 2X when he made his wish should tell me that he doesn't intend to be OP in our travels, at least, not to begin with. That's right, it isn't just me being reincarnated so how can I balance my wishes to not be OP but have the potential to become OP.
First of all, I need to figure out how the others are going to wish, so I know how to complete the party. Do I even need to? This isn't d&d it is our lives. Still, thinking about how they will be wishing should help me remove some options from my many scenarios.
Let's start with Steampunk, I don't think I've played a D&D campaign with him where he hasn't played a light squishy class with magic. Seriously, the one time he played a barbarian he took a bunch of feats for spellcasting. So It seems fair to say he'll be focusing on magic.
But what about our ever-annoying DM. Well, she loves to play the edgiest characters possible, or the opposite where she plays a character that should seem edgy but gives them the happiest home life imaginable. I will always remember you David the NPC rogue who had a loving wife and kids, both parents still alive, and only joined the party to have stories to tell his kids. Shame we had to use him as dragon bait. Yeah, I don't think I've ever successfully guessed a plot twist she had planned, even though some reached truly horrific levels of bad. I probably won't be able to guess her wishes, but I will assume they are edgy.
So edginess and magic are what I can expect from those two. I should probably focus on my physical abilities then, help keep my friends safe and not have to worry about complicated mana management just hit the enemy till it's dead, plain and simple.
Looking up at the devil who has just been silently observing me this entire time I mutter "Creep" before flexing my now once again non-existent shoulders.
"So devil. For my 3 bloodlines, I would like the bloodline of a Half-orc from D&D, The bloodline of the Tyrant Dragon from Akame ga kill and the bloodline of Arthur the once and future king of Britain with all of the magical and talent-based privileges that would come with that bloodline, in each world."
The devil just shrugs "Sure."
So that is my bloodlines solved, the half-orc makes me more naturally intimidating and should provide a once a day ability to ignore extreme damage and keep fighting, that alongside the Tyrant bloodline should make me very hard to kill. The Arthur Bloodline is because he is often held up as a paragon wielding Excalibur that in each world we travel to I am likely to receive some form of benefit simply due to that bloodline. It should be especially helpful if we ever go to a world where heritage is seen as key.
"So, for my first wish, I would like to possess an indomitable will that is capable of shrugging of anything that would affect it and will allow me to never give up on something as long as I desire it."
"Are we talking Shonen levels of willpower or John Wick levels"
"John Wick levels"
The devil just gives a sage nod.
"For my second wish, I would like my body and soul to be fused into one entity, such that any skill or development that affects one affects the other, while any attack that would target one aspect specifically deals reduced damage."
"That is, more doable than the girls request so that will happen once you actually possess a body."
"For my final grand wish, I would like my body to be capable of absorbing and refining the trait of enemy monsters that I kill in such a manner that I receive only beneficial traits. I would like these traits to be applied before any kind of system or falna takes effect. To provide clarification in the form of an example, if I kill a goblin my body extracts its essence Identifies whatever beneficial traits exist converts the entirety of the essence into that beneficial trait then absorbs it. If the nature of that wish is too unbalanced according to whatever rules govern the void then as a downside there should be an adaptation period for absorbing essences, determined by the strength of the being killed."
"Well, the proposed downside, will be applied however due to the limitation of only affecting monsters it will only apply to the strongest varieties of monsters."
The devil pauses as though considering something. "So, that is why you chose the tyrant dragon bloodline."
It isn't a question.
"Anyways, decide on your appearance and name then clap 3 times to show you are finished." As the devil speaks a mirror appears in front of me.
To begin Creating my appearance I recreate the appearance of Proto-Arthur from fate to serve as a base. Then I Gradually increase the muscle mass while staying in proportion to create the appearance of perfectly sculpted muscles, the kind that can be clearly seen pressing through any sort of shirt.
That finishes the Arthurian part of my bloodline being represented and to a certain extent the half-orc aspect, but to further display the latter I cause the lower canines to grow to the point they could be considered fangs, without impacting the faces current royal looking charm.
Finally, to represent the tyrant dragon I slowly twist and distort the facial features ever so slightly to produce A kind of wild charm, I would represent it more, but if we are going to Danmachi, it seems rather foolish to clearly display draconic traits especially since it will take some time to be strong enough to resist Ais.
I now need to decide on a name. Nothing too long, because I'm certain one of the others will bring up the unofficial rule of our dnd campaign which is any character with 3 or more syllables in the name gets a stupid sounding nickname. I mean might as well do the cliche thing and pick a name in Latin like all the cool Isekai characters. Let's see I am a descendent of the king of knights, technically, so maybe use that. Suddenly it comes to me. Noctis is Latin for night, to change night to Knight all you need is a K. I shall name myself Knoctis, just to eternally wind the others up as they both despise puns.
