I will kill you

The Selentia race was a special vampire-werewolf breed that only existed within the outskirts of the Underworld. When humans conquered the majority of the Underworld, however, they were persecuted for their man-eating habits. They were also highly noticeable because of their distinct red features, having red hair, red eyes, and red teeth. This led to a near-extinction of the race, with only a few survivors left by chance. Utiera is one of these lucky survivors, escaping the slaughter by fleeing his homelands and entering the center ring of the Underworld. Due to the center part of the Underworld being completely desolate, Utiera lived in an abandoned mage tower far away from any major cities and veiled from the detection of powerful practitioners. However, this was all obtained not because of any particular skill but purely chance. For the past century, Utiera has been preying on incoming newbie teenagers, being able to luck out, and managing not to go against any talented ones. He was aware of his insane luck and has always been grateful for it.

Now, in the face of an absolute monster, he couldn't help but feel weak in his knees.

Eve's dismembered head began to float over to his main body, easily reattaching. Once fully reattached, Eve gave his neck a good crack and stood straight up, appearing to have felt nothing. Then, he turned his head to look at the monster that previously felt so oppressive.

One look from Eve and Utiera knew that there has been a drastic shift to the boy. The previously blanked-out boy was replaced by a powerful figure emanating menace and malice. Most importantly, Utiera could feel that Eve was now in a league far above that of which he could ever attain.

In a panic, Utiera made a dash for it. Without wasting a single second after feeling the difference between him and his opponent, Utiera flew off at the speed of 100 km/ hour, racing back to the safety of his tower.

Utiera constructed a barrier of blood around him with his magic, hoping to use it as a temporary shield. Utiera didn't manage to move more than a couple of meters before his shield broke instantly. Above him, he saw the boy crash down on him with the force of a building crashing down. Instantly, Utiera was slammed into the ground, and all of the bones in his body were broken.

Eve dragged the broken body up and tossed it up like a ragdoll, kicking it and sending it flying another dozen of meters. Somehow managing to survive up until now, Utiera coughed up blood and went to work repairing the damage he was inflicted, but before he knew it, Eve was next to him again. Eve grabbed the Selentia by the collar and brought the monster's face right in front of his.

That's when Utiera realized it. The person standing in front of him was not a boy, nor was he human at all. He was staring straight at a blood-thirsty demon with the sole purpose of killing him.

"Die, and become fodder for my evolution."

With a final hurrah, Eve ripped the monster's body in half with his bare hands. Blood sprayed all over Eve, and he looked like the incarnation of the devil. After a few seconds, Eve calmed down his bloodlust and looked at the corpse. His first kill.

"Antares, how many tokens will I get out of this guy?"

"Approximately 5,000, and you can also inherit his special technique of blood barrier, although it isn't very powerful at all."

"How do I turn him into tokens again?" Eve asked sheepishly, remembering he didn't exactly know how his abilities worked.

"Just touch the body and think to yourself about what you want to do."

In a flash, the body dissipated into thin air, and Eve was left with a small pile of coins. He reached for those too, absorbing it to his soul and he could feel his power slowly increasing.

Eve sat down for a second, tired at the burst of energy he had to expend to defeat the monster. Although being much stronger than his opponent, Eve was still an ineffective fighter, spending way more effort than required.

"Oh right, it's no point hiding. I can detect your presence now," Eve called out, seeming to no one.

Sitting on top of a hill next to the fight scene, Maxim, the Commander of Blood, appeared and seemed to have watched the show with great enthusiasm. Now, he was quite disappointed that he would have to relinquish his position as an anonymous spectator.

"How did you do that?" Maxim was trailing behind them the entire time, hoping that Eve and Petra would die as fast as possible so he could be freed from his position of trailing behind them. As for how they died, he would find a suitable excuse. After all, he was the Commander of Blood; no matter what he did, he wouldn't be punished too severely for it.

Eve shrugged and then looked the commander over. He looked like a small teenage boy, and he was wearing handcuffs with poor leather clothes. The only way Eve could tell the boy was Maxim was from his intense killing intent towards Eve.

"Why haven't you killed me yet?" Eve asked, completely ignoring Maxim's question.

"You little... I would if I could, but that stupid little princess placed a binding oath spell on me. I can do you no harm, unfortunately," Maxim sighed and walked to where Eve was, dropping down to relax on the grass.

Unconcerned with the commander, Eve started looking off into the distance. He saw a dark forest and could now sense the great concentration of magic festering within. Petra had warned him about this forest on their flight, and he would have to get through it to reach the city of Prista, under the domain of the Overlord of Brutality. It was the first city to the west of the Sanctuary, and Eve was desperately hungry.

With a kick of force, Eve started running off into the forest.

"Youngsters these days, always so full of energy," Maxim took a deep breath and started running off after the boy.
