A call from my MOM....

Little Moon was having a creative block, so she insisted on making some cupcakes to find some inspiration. She was seen making stuff using butter icing. A little crafter in every way.

I pretended to be reading a book from the living room window sill while watching her. A cute little scene to see. While she was icing the cakes, her loose hair bun fell down, making it hard for her to ice the cakes, with her long hair. I watched her struggle for a few minutes.

Looking around I saw her fabric hair tie. I went to her and tied her hair into a ponytail. I put my hands around and took the icing bag and iced a cupcake. She looked at me,

"Can you frost cakies?"

"Yes. I can do small things." I looked at her.

"Brother D also helped with me when I did a small cupcake business."

"Hmm....so he can ice cakes too?"

"No, he's good at keeping me company, while I do the work. But he did help with the icing once in a while when I had to do about two hundred odd cakes.

I looked at her. She was absorbed in icing flowers on the cakes. Her dainty work looks really detailed. I buried my head on her shoulder while holding her tight, watching her ice the cakes.

"Don't you want to make lunch today?"

"Ted is not coming, so we can have some light lunch and have a full meal in the night if you like"

"Hmm... ok.... so I will make some sand..." My phone started to ring. It's my mother's video calling me.

While holding her I answered my mother's video call,

"Hi, Mom." I know she can see me with Little Moon, but she didn't seem to make a fuss over showing her to my mother.

"What are you doing Geo?" asked my mother, smiling at me.

"Helping a lost kitty gather it's thoughts." I showed my mother Little Moon.

"OH!! you... my son, how can you say such things to a girl. Are you making cupcakes?" I know how much she loves them.

"Yes, mom. Look at the cupcakes she has decorated." I showed her a bunch of cakes.

"Looks so dainty. No one would want to eat them."

"Did you hear that Little Moon." making her look at me and my mother.

"Mom, this is LIttle Moon, she's Mr.D's life bud."

"Hi, my dear. George has told a lot about you." my mother smiled at her. She had previously talked to Mr.D and given her approval to travel. Even though I haven't told my mother or Little Moon, I had been discussing about bringing my mother here for a week's visit on my last week of stay.

"Hi, Aunty," she said half hiding behind me.

"Mom, don't worry she's a bit timid about meeting people, give a few days she'll get used to you," I explained to my mother, and tried to hold Little Moon in front of me.

"Oh, it's ok dear. George uses to be worse than that. She would run away."

"MOM!!!" Little Moon laughed.

"You are really a dainty flower my dear. I saw your waltz with George. Never knew this brat could dance so well." I made a face at my mother for praising her, and not me.

"Thank you. But he's a good actor. That's why I recommend him to the lead role." Little Moon replied.

"Mom do you have any plans for the last week of the end of next month?"

"I haven't planned anything, but may I know why?"

"Why not come here for a holiday. We'll be finishing work by then and we all could have a week's vacation here." I told her my plan.

"It's a good idea. I will think about it and let you know."

There was a tap on my shoulder.

"You talk with mother, while I make some sandwiches for lunch. But I won't use avocado." She said. She only likes avocado as a creamy dessert and nothing else. I gave her a thumbs up and went to the balcony to talk with my mother.

"Mom.."

"She is so petite." said my mother.

"I told you she's small but cute."

"Yes, she is. So how is your work, George?"

"Most of the work is smoothly going on, mom. Little Moon has to do the most work I just help her with it. And I try to understand her personality."

"I love those photos you send of her. She seems so calm and quiet." I always knew my mother like these type of girls.

"hmm... No wonder Mr.D protects her so well. She is a fragile mom. Sometimes she has nightmares."

"Is it something serious, can we help her George?"

"She's afraid Amy will do something to make her go blind. Mr.D has tightened the security."

"Oh... poor girl."

"She is a very talented mom. Mr.D wants me to help her to come out of her comfort zone, and appreciate her true herself. But I am afraid if I can do it, mom."

"You can do it, Geo. I know you better. And Mr.D wouldn't have chosen you if he isn't sure you can do it."

"Thanks, mom. So, I'll get everything ready for your holiday."

"Yes dear, and I am waiting to get to know her better. Did you give her the gift?"

"Still not, maybe on a day we go to the beach I will."

"Ok dear, I will call you again, your sister is waiting to go out with me."

"Say Hi for me. Bye mom."

I went back to the pantry to see Little Moon finish up making chicken sandwiches. While she was cleaning things up I made some orange juice to go with it. While we were having lunch I looked at her. I was thinking about how can I make Mr.D's request a reality. This cannot be done at a rush pace. I have to plan my few weeks ahead in order to win her trust in me and that I can be helpful to her.
