Kites and Shopping

The next morning Mark and Ted have made arrangements to have a kite-making competition. I don't know how they came up with such an idea but I know it's going to be fun. We had to team up.

Mark and Jane are one team, while Ted and his friend are one. I got teamed up with Little Moon while my mother and the other in the villa were judges. I was the helper for LIttle Moon as she quickly made the kite from scratch.

"Sis, how's your kite?" screamed Ted.

"Want to bet, who's kite will fly high?" she challenged him.

"Do you know what are you doing?" I whispered in her ear.

"I am just making fun of him. I know we can win." I looked at her.

"What's the bet, sis?" asked Ted.

"I will tell you after we win" She answered.

"This is not going to be good. Stupid me." cried Ted.

We all laughed at his expression. The wind was in our favor so all the kites fly high. Everyone took turns to fly them. After a while, we let our kite fly on its way and sat on the beach watching others enjoying the fun.

Ted and his friend enjoyed playing with some boys who were playing on the beach till lunch was ready. We planned to head back after having lunch. Today's lunch was specially made with the traditional flavors. We bid goodbye to everyone who took care of us the last few days and started to come back home.

We all head back to bed as soon as we came back. I made a video call to Mr.D before heading to bed.

"How are you Mr.D?"

"I am doing fine Goerge. How was your trip? Hope your mom enjoyed it."

"Yes she loved the safari and the butler and the others at the villa were really good for us."

"That's good to hear. So are you ready for the next step of the production?"

"Yes. I did talk with Lee and everything is ready."

"I wish you luck for filming. Hope I can be there too."

"But Mr.D, you have a bigger goal. You need to rest well and work hard."

"I am trying my best. I want to surprise her this time and see her again. I really miss my Little girl."

"I know you can do it, Mr.D."

"How is she?"

"She enjoyed the trip. But I feel a bit reluctant to leave her and go."

"Don't worry about her George. I have provided her the necessary safety and helpers to take care of her."

"That's a relief, Mr.D. I hope to have her by my side after the filming of the drama."

"That's good George. I want to get her to help out with promotional matters. And I have readied to release the title song first in three weeks."

"You have planned out everything. So we are releasing this on the company youtube first."

"Yes, that's the plan."

"I think the video version of the title song will be more popular."

"I know this drama is going to be a hit. Hope we all can corporate without any conflicts, but with team spirit as one family."

"I hope so too Mr.D."

After the call, I went to see Litle Moon. She had fallen asleep with the book in her hand. I removed her book and tucked her again watching her sleep for a few more minutes I went back to my room with her book.

The next morning my mother suggested going on a shopping spree. So with Mark, me, my mother and LIttle Moon, we went out. Mark had selected several places to shop and to have lunch at a five-star restaurant.

While mom shopped I went around looking for something for Little Moon. She loves hats. So I went to look for a wide rim hat with a bow for her. There were many so I got a few hats for her. Suddenly I caught my eyes on a small shop in the mall, they sell healthy snacks, specially nut-related snacks. After tasting a few, I ordered them to deliver a few packs of snacks every two weeks for her. So she will have these snacks while working at night instead of unhealthy greasy snacks.

My mom wanted to treat Little Moon to the best restaurant. So she had already made a reservation at a star class place. The only thing I forgot to mention my mother was that Little Moon will be nervous around strangers, specially public places like these.

"Little Moon, are you ok with this?" I asked her before we entered.

"I will let you know if I need to go out for a little. It's your mother's treat. Let' enjoy it with her."

"Ok sure. Let's go in."

My mother has gone over the top and has ordered many dishes. I was winding if they will pack up leftovers so we can have them for dinner. My mom was chatting away happily and talking about things in our hometown, in hope of making Little Moon travel with us. And the place was suddenly getting crowded as it was lunchtime.

I suddenly felt a little tap on my hand and I looked at Little Moon. Her face was getting pale.

"Mom, excuse us." I took her out to get some fresh air and to calm down. She held my hand pretty tight. My mom called to know what happened.

"Mom, she is still not used to be around a lot of people."

"Why, is there something I don't know son?"

"It's nothing serious, she needs time to get to use. And If I had known you had such a plan I would have advised you to find a smaller place with few people."

"How is she now?"

"She will be ok in a few minutes and we will come back."

"I am sorry son, I didn't know she was feeling uneasy. I will keep in mind and help her out."

"Ok mom, can you order a piece of chocolate cake for her."

"Ok son, come back when she feels alright."

We head back in and enjoyed our meal. After we went home my mother gave her a bag full of goodies, these included very expensive color inks and books for inspiration for her work. I felt so happy that my mother didn't opt for jewellery for her. I pilled her head with the five hats I bought, making everyone laugh so hard.

That night suddenly I felt like someone was out there. So I went out and saw her fall asleep on the sofa on the veranda. Her look made me laugh. She was wearing one of the hats I have bought and with a book in hand curled up in a ball. Know she will never grow up from her childish way bought a smile to my face..
