The Gift and Indirect Promotion

"What is this George?"

I looked around and saw the big package I left on the table.

"I didn't have time to open it. Why don't you?" I went to bring out some drinks from the refrigerator.

When I came back Lee had opened the box and handed me a letter.

"Dear Goerge,

Please accept this box filled with gifts. I have collected a few things that you might like. The others are some designs I made as souvenirs for the exhibition opening. If you approve them I will hand make them to give them a special touch. Oh yes, I made them match the drama as an indirect way to promote and a keepsake. Let me know your thoughts on it. Show them to Lee and your mom too and get their feedback.

She has put a kitty paw stamp by coloring Fuzzball's poor foot. I cannot stop laughing and about her childish ways. I looked at Lee and saw that he was already taking stuff out of the package and categorizing them.

"Who send you these?" asked Lee.

"Can't you guess, it's from Little Moon"

"Oh.. You see there are snacks, some type of gifts, a few books."

"Books?'

"Hmm... here" I took them from him and went through the books.

"WOW!!! "

"What is it, George?"

"Look at these, they are the initial writing scripts of the drama. All hand-written and.."

"George, here are the initial plan or the CG costumes. But why did she send you these?"

"Wait I'll call her and ask. Check out those gift packs and let me know what you think. She wants to hand-made them for the photography exhibition."

"OHHHH!!!!! She's brilliant George. Indirect promoting of the drama.Nice!!!" said Lee.

I opened a snack pack she has sent and went to the veranda with it and called Little Moon.

"Meow"

"Fuzzball where's your owner?" I asked with a smile looking at the kitty roaming on the table.

"OH hi..." said Little Moon.

"What are you doing?"

"Do you think I can get any work done?" She said while tapping the head of the Double trouble with her graphic pen.

"Thank you for the gift box."

"Oh!! it has arrived soon."

"You didn't tell me about this" I pretended to be angry.

"Then how can it be a surprise"

"May I know why you send me the sketchbooks and the draft write-ups. You should keep them with you as a memory."

"Wait.." She showed me a white cupboard with sections labeled with different names. "See all these, they all are my initial work of each project I have done so far."

"Wow"

"And what I send is the first work initial work for your first production. So this is a special gift for you. A memory for you to keep."

"Thank you, dear."

We talked for a while and I told her I will check with others about the promotional designs and get back to her. Lee came to me as I finished the call.

"George you need to treasure her very well."

"Why?"

"She is so thoughtful and caring. Look what she did today."

"Hmm. Since it's my first production she wants me to treasure the initial work she did."

"How come it's only hers, George"

"What?"

"This is both of your first work. So you need to treasure it. Don't you know she is trusting you with a precious gift?"

"Hmm true. Lee can I ask you something?"

"Yes"

"Do you think I really deserve such a nice girl?"

"You both are made for each other, George. Trust your gut feeling. She is the best thing that happened to you. Cherish her."

In the evening I checked the promotional designs she has done. She has created a handmade paper notebook, a scented candle with red roses, a keepsake t-shart with a handprint quote, and a small pack of candies. She had created a nice packaging as well to hold them all together.

Little Moon has insisted on making them all herself. Her point is to make these give a warmth that comes from the drama. I asked my mother for her idea, she approved them but she said to think about the time constraints.

Mr.D also called and asked for my feedback on the promotional materials created by her. He loved the idea but the only issue we had was the time constraints. Will she be able to finish these on time and she also needs to be with me at least two weeks before the wedding reception. Because I was planning to take her on a little journey before the registration.

I thought for a while before giving her a call. The filming will be over within the next three weeks and I will head back to her home. If we plan properly, we will be able to finish the promotional gift packs within the three weeks we have got. Hmm, maybe we can get help from Mark, Jane, and Ted. But the drawings will be have to do by her. She will have to make at least three hundred gift packs. As we have to give some for our sponsors and teams.

"Little Moon, you have taken a tall order."

"Yes, I know. But I can pull it off."

"Are you sure, because you will only have three weeks as you will come here with me two weeks in advance?"

"Hmmm...."

"We will help you, so you only have to do is the drawing."

"Oh, Thanks."

"Myself and the others can help with making the handmade notebooks and the handprint quotes."

"We will have to buy some stuff to create them," she said.

"Let me know the list I will get them for you. But please remember not to overwork yourself."

"Yes, I will don't worry."

Adam called me to that he has sent the raw files to be printed and he had contacted a company to make frames for the photos. I selected a black thin frame for the photos as I wanted to blend with nature in the gallery. Now, most of the work for the exhibition is in progress and I only have to ready the surprise for her on that special day.
