CHAPTER ONE

I have always wished for more than I have considering my friends and the society I live in.

My name is Jessica Felix. I am 15 years old and a junior secondary school student of Martin's College Ikeja, Lagos. I come from a family of five, me inclusive. I have my younger brother and sister by name Henry and Vivian and my two wonderful parents Mr./Mrs. Felix. I reside in No. 13 Ebenezer lane, Lawanson Lagos state. I am done with my primary school and a fresher in the junior secondary. I have two friends Alexander, a boy and mikaela, a girl. Well having friends who come from a wealthy home might seem fun but take it from me, it's alot harder than you think.

Hellooo earth to Jessica... I didn't realize mum was back from her day to day sales. Before I forget my mom is a trader while my dad is a government worker. We are not what a person would call "rich" but aleast we could afford a three course meal.

"Hi mom, i really thought no one was at home welcome anyways. How was market today? I hope you sold well. " yes I did" Mum said.

I've been living with my parents because I was on break, my mum had brought home foodstuffs for the night food and headed to the kitchen with them. Not long my siblings returned from school my younger brother is in primary 4 and my youngest sister is in primary one. Their school wasn't far from home so it was easy to come home by themselves. I dropped a bucket full of water in the bathroom for them to take their Bath and I joined the mum in the kitchen. At about 6:30 p.m. dad got back from work all stressed out and hungry we prayed and ate our dinner before we went to bed.
