The bride and the queen

The buzz inside the halls of the Cermesi Castle was loud enough to be heard till the city downhill. There were flowers everywhere, oddly a lot of daisies and white lilies, but the walls were adorned with a round bunch of red roses. Last night I had seen this, there was almost nothing compared to what it was today.

No outsiders were invited apart from the family member and plausible business partners since Mr Gillard was also present.

I had made a deliberate effort to walk past him. When I bumped into that old man the voices in my head echoed frantically, 'kill him, he should die, he knows your truth.' However, the moment he gave me a grumpy look talking as if I was some total stranger, it became easier to suppress the voice. He did not remember anything and that was thanks to Hailey's distant cousin who was there that night to erase Mr Gillard's memory.
