Do Not Touch Her

*Chen Corporation *

Xavier stepped into his office looking a little dishelved. He'd just finished closing an important deal with some foreign companies. His secretary followed behind him like a leach as usual, ready to remind him of his schedule and other important agendas of the day.

Xavier dropped into his plush leather chair, letting out a deep sigh as he rubbed his temples. His secretary, Emily, stood before him, her eyes fixed on her tablet as she rattled off his schedule.

"Sir, you have a meeting with the marketing team in 15 minutes to discuss the new campaign. After that, you have a conference call with the investors. And don't forget, you have a dinner reservation with the CEO of Smith Industries at 7 pm."

Xavier nodded, his eyes closed, as he tried to process the barrage of information. Emily, sensing her cue, turned to leave.

"Oh, and sir?" she said, pausing at the door.

"Yes?" Xavier replied, opening one eye.

"There's a package on your desk. It was delivered while you were in your meeting."

Xavier's gaze shifted to the package, a small, unmarked box wrapped in brown paper. He shrugged, his attention already focused on the upcoming meeting.

"Emily, forget the package for now. Can you get me a sandwich or something? I need to prep for this meeting."

Emily nodded. "Right away, sir. I'll have something sent up from the cafeteria."

Xavier nodded, already dismissing the package from his mind. He turned his attention to the marketing materials on his desk, his focus solely on the meeting ahead.

Xavier took a bite of his sandwich, savoring the flavors as he gazed out the window. He needed a distraction from the looming meeting with the marketing team. Turning on the TV, he flipped through the channels, stopping at a news broadcast.

"... Reports emerged that Xavier Chen, Korean-American CEO of Chen's Enterprise..." The news anchor's voice trailed off as Xavier's eyes widened in surprise.

He nearly choked on his sandwich, his mind racing. What were they talking about? He hadn't made any recent announcements or deals that would warrant breaking news.

Xavier's curiosity got the better of him, and he leaned forward, eyes glued to the screen, waiting to hear more...

The warm coffee slid down his throat, helping to dislodge the stuck bread and soothe his parched throat. Xavier closed his eyes for a moment, savoring the brief respite from the shocking news. But as he opened them again, his gaze fell back on the TV screen, and the reality of the situation came flooding back.

Just then, Emily walked in with Raymond. Her eyes widened as she took in Xavier's stunned expression, and she quickly followed his gaze to the TV screen. Raymond, standing beside her, also turned to face the TV, his brow furrowed in concern.

The news anchor's voice continued to fill the room, "...allegations of embezzlement and financial misconduct have surfaced, sending shockwaves through the business community."

Xavier's face had turned ashen, his eyes fixed on the screen as if he was watching a nightmare unfold before his eyes. Emily and Raymond exchanged worried glances, unsure of what to say or do next.

The room fell silent, the only sound the news anchor's voice, as the three of them stood frozen, absorbing the bombshell news...

The newscaster continued…

I've received some recent updates from headquarters. Kiara Stillinski reporting live from NY City News at 12 pm.

Governor Frank's recent move has raised eyebrows, recruiting more militants to the military base amidst rising tensions between the USA and neighboring states. But in a surprising twist, the Mayor has declared a "peace war," leaving many wondering what this means for the future.

Meanwhile, the mysterious CEO and owner of Elsa Dumoreés Fashion and Clothing Enterprise remains unknown. Rumors swirl that the owner might be resilient, but so far, no concrete evidence has surfaced.

For now, the search continues, and the fashion world remains on high alert.

Raymond slammed the TV off, tossing the remote aside.

His expression transformed from charming to menacing.

"What the hell is going on?" Raymond growled, eyes fixed on Xavier's entranced face.

Xavier's gaze snapped back to Raymond, a sly grin spreading.

"Hey, don't be angry, buddy," Xavier said with a chuckle. "I didn't know the girl was bait either."

Raymond's glare lingered, his anger palpable.

"You better have a plan," Raymond warned.

Xavier's smile widened.

"Already on it," Xavier reassured.

Raymond's nod was curt.

As Emily turned to leave, Xavier's voice stopped her.

"Emily, wait." His tone was firm, but laced with a hint of desperation.

Emily turned back to face him, a mask of professionalism still plastered on her face. "Yes, sir?"

Xavier's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. "I need you to keep this quiet for now. "I don't want anyone in the office to know about this until I've had a chance to... address the situation."

Emily's expression remained neutral, but a spark of excitement danced in her eyes. She loved being in the know, and this was the juiciest gossip she'd heard all year. But she nodded obediently, "Of course, sir. Your secret is safe with me."

Xavier's eyes lingered on hers for a moment, as if searching for any sign of deception.

"Get the CFO ready to address the marketing team in my stead ", he said before she walked out with a slight nod.

Then, seemingly satisfied, he nodded and turned back to the TV, his expression grim.

Emily, on the other hand, couldn't wait to get out of there and start spreading the news. She turned and walked out of the office, her mind already racing about the best way to share the scandal without getting caught...

Xavier turned to Raymond, both puzzled before Xavier reached for his phone, texted a number and kept the phone back on the desk. He sat unfazed and calm, too calm for Raymond, who wondered what his brother was up to.

Thirty minutes of silence were broken when the door swung open. Admitting a commanding figure, clad in black, he strode into the office. His tall frame and chiseled features seemed carved from shadows. He handed Raymond photographs of a captivating young woman.

"She's the one," Xavier declared, his voice low and resolute, as he signaled the messenger to depart.

Becca strolled towards the park outside the company, eager to drive home in her new car.

As she pressed the key fob to unlock the door, strong arms enveloped her from behind.

A hand clamped over her mouth and nose with a handkerchief, silencing her scream.

She was dragged away, struggling, and tossed into a black Lamborghini. The doors slammed shut, trapping her between two hefty men in black.

Becca's heart raced as she realized she'd been kidnapped before she finally slumped into darkness.

The Lamborghini sped away, leaving her car and freedom behind.

"According to Maximus, the girl was paid millions to set you up," Raymond said, his voice laced with disgust. "She's a desperate pawn."

Xavier's eyes narrowed. "We'll find her, and I'll make her pay." I'll torment her until she spills every secret.

A menacing smirk spread across Xavier's face as Raymond stormed out of the room, anger radiating from his every step.

The Lamborghini sped through the gates of a grand estate, where a towering figure awaited.

Becca, limp and disoriented, was transferred to the new captor.

A black mask obscured her vision, and ropes bound her wrists, ankles, and mouth to a chair.

The figure dialed a number on his phone.

"We have her, sir," he announced.

A curt "Good" was the only response Becca could discern before darkness claimed her again.

On the other end, Xavier's voice was firm.

"Do not touch her. Keep her there, untouched, until I arrive."

The line went dead.
