The next morning...
Rose was up early for the first time in two weeks. She even woke up feeling...happy. She was staring at her ceiling when the memories of last night started to flood her mind. She sat up in a rush and looked towards the seat she asked Raph to sit down. He wasn't there. She sighed and walked over to the seat. She ran her fingers through the armrest and the frame of the chair. She sat down on the chair carefully with a smile on her face. All she could think about was him and all that happened. That was when she remembered his name "Raphael" she said as she looked into the air and started to think of heaven knows what.
Then, a knock came on her door which brought her back to reality "Come in" she said. It was Mira and, she was wearing a green dress.
"Good morning Mira," said Rose
"Good morning Mi Princesa"
"Isn't it a lovely morning?"
Mira looked at her with a perplexed look on her face. She noticed Rose's happy mood but, she couldn't point her finger at why she was happy to that extent considering she was a sulking puppy the last time she saw her. "Yes it is and what's got you all happy this morning?" Mira asked.
"Oh nothing, it's just, he came yesterday."
"Who is he?"
"Mira why are you this forgetful?" she said, standing up to changing into her bathrobe. She continued saying"You know like Mr. Good Looks but his name is Raphael but, I'm calling him Raph since it annoys him"
"Ohhh, you mean him but, I thought you said that you never had the chance of telling him to come see you again"
"Yes that is what I said Mira but, it turns out that even in my drunken state, I made him promise that he'd come to see me and..."
"And?"
"Just, don't worry about it Mira"
"Oh no Mi Princesa there is no way I won't worry about it. I can see you're already blushing"
"No I'm not Mira" she said as she started massaging her face to hide the fact that she was blushing.
"I already saw you blushing so, there's no need for you to try and hide it now. Tell me, what happened?"
"Fine!"
Then, she walked into the bathroom and started to take a bath as she narrated everything that happened the night she was drunk to Mira.
Mira hardly ever did anything to help Rose get dressed up nowadays. All she did most of the time was to sit on the bed, talk to Rose while she was bathing and help her take care of her hair and, today was no exception.
Rose came out of the bath and started to get dressed in her usual simple top and pants. Mira helped her to style her hair into a simple bun. Even after Rose was done dressing, she still wasn't done with narrating everything to Mira because, she was conveying every single emotion she felt and every detail she could vividly remember. It took an additional 20 minutes for her to finish narrating everything to Mira including what had happened last night.
"Mira, let me be very sincere with you, I was very annoyed with him through out but, whenever I remember everything I can't help it but blush and I don't know why" said Rose.
"Mi Princesa, I think it should be pretty obvious by now that you've fallen in love with him"
"No way Mira. I'm an adult now and, I've gone through a few relationships so, I'd know if I've fallen in love with him."
"You've got to learn how to distinguish one feeling from the other. With all you have said, it's evident that you both like each other" Mira said with an accusing face. "But, I'm not the one who's falling in love so, I'll be here, waiting patiently for the day you'll come up and tell me you're getting married to him."
"You wish Mira. I don't even think he has a title and you know how the king is obsessed with titles. I already have enough drama in my life right now. I don't need a new one. We'll just be friends for now ok?"
"If there's anything we've learnt from the last three weeks, it's- "
Just then, they heard a knock.
"Come in!" they both said. Then, Abner opened the door. He stood by the door, not wanting to invade the ladies' privacy. "Princess Rose, the king would like to you to meet the Prince of Wearlof over breakfast" he said.
"She'll be there in five minutes," said Mira.
Abner took a polite bow and left the room.
