Not expected

"Wow you look so sexy", he couldn't hide that he was amazed by what he was seeing. As she was standing beside the car his eyes were wider as he gaped at her. He couldn't hide that he was mesmerized by her beauty. She wore that dress that he wanted to see her in. He headed towards her and opened the car door for her to enter. He was not behaving like her boss now. He sat in the driver's seat. His eyes were still glued on her. Cat was anxious this time, she couldn't hide it. As she was staring at him while he was staring at her. Her hands were trembling cause she was anxious. She couldn't be able to hide it this time.

"Aaah thanks", those were the only words that came out from her mouth. She then pressed her lips as she was buckling the seat belt.

"Let's now go", he said as he started the engine of the car. Cat nodded signalling him to start driving. He started driving as they left.

"So how is your family...?" Shawn broke the silence between them. Cat was staring outside the window as she was thinking about her family. She wasn't expecting him to ask her that. She turned to face him so that she could answer him.

"They are good", she mentioned. Even though she knew that they weren't okay, she had to lie to him anyway. Since her mother was captured their lives didn't remain the same.

"Ooh nice are you the firstborn...", he asked her another personal question. She was wondering why he was asking her about her family. But since she was his assistant and he was her boss. She had to answer him anyway.

"Yes I am the firstborn", she answered him. It was so unlike him to ask this kind of question. She didn't understand why he asked the question in the first place. But she answered him hoping that he wouldn't ask her another personal question.

"Ooh that's great but you look like a last born", he mentioned. He just wanted to know more about her. Even though he knew so much about her. He couldn't show her that he knew her more than she could imagine.

"Why.... ain't a spoilt one", she mentioned. She couldn't imagine that she was talking to her boss like he was her friend. Even though they had met first at the club. She didn't want to be too close to him. She didn't want to fall for him in any way cause that isn't in her plan. She doesn't want to fall in love with anyone. She doesn't want to focus on things other than searching for her mother.

"You just look like the last born", he mentioned assuring her that she looked like the last born.

"No am not", she assured him for the second time that she wasn't a last born like he mentioned.

"Ooh, it's fine. That castle is quite far from here", Shawn mentioned he didn't like the silence between them. He just wanted them to keep talking while he was driving.

"Yes it's far buh I loved the place, its so beautiful", Cat informed him of the way the castle looked so good. It was his first time to head to the castle. So he didn't know what he should expect from there. But he had met the prince before and they were friends.

"Oooh wow that's fab I bet we will enjoy ourselves", Shawn mentioned then winked at her. She didn't expect that from him. She wasn't surprised that he acted that way cause this wasn't the first time that he did this. Adrenaline rushed in her body as she stared at him intensely. She knew that he could see that she was tensed the entire time.

"Yes we will Shawn...", she mentioned with a slight grin on her face. He smiled at her before he turned his head to concentrate on the road.

After a few minutes, they finally arrived at their destination. Cat wasn't used to attend such parties. She was anxious and Shawn could see it in her eyes. This was her first time to attend an event of the royals.

"Relax it's just a party", Shawn informed her. He didn't like to see her in that situation. He placed his hands on her hair and started caressing it. He made her feel worse than she was feeling. Her heartbeat started pounding faster as she stared at him.

"I will try", she mentioned as the corners of her lips rose slightly. He highlighted the car and opened the car door for her. He then stretched his hand for her to hold it. She couldn't believe that he was making her hold his hand like they were a couple.

"This is more like a couples party just imagine am your boyfriend tonight", he made the situation worse by informing her this. She took his hand and held it in a tight grip. She then gasped out loudly before they started heading towards the castle.

"Aaah really...", she couldn't believe that he was the one speaking that way. She just had to do what he wanted since they were already at the party and she couldn't go back.

"Yes Cat just relax and follow me ", he said with a wide grin on his face. He liked to see her that way, being nervous all the time she was around him.

"You are welcomed Sir and madam what's your name", the security personnel asked them. They couldn't just enter like that without proof that they were among the invited guests. Shawn informed him of his name. He went through the list and confirmed that they were invited.

"You may enter", he informed them with a wide grin on his face. Shawn was still holding Cat's hand in a tight grip. She couldn't believe that he was behaving like she was his girlfriend. She liked the way they were. At least he made her feel better than she was feeling before.
